I have two Bluetooth headsets that I use.
My Jawbone for when I'm walking around and my integrated car one.
If I am on a call on my Jawbone and I get in the car it (obviously) does not switch. I need to go into Bluetooth settings and choose Set Hands-Free.
I am wondering if there is a little problem which can go at the bottom of the start menu that will allow me to swap bluetooth receivers without having to go into Comm Manager / Bluetooth?
Thank you!

i hate the process to connect with my bluetooth headset
Comm Manager -> Settings ->
Bluetoth Settings -> Devices ->
klick -> set as wireless stereo
gives any app to do this with one klick or one button ???
I use a set of Logitech bluetooth headphones (made for the iPod). All I need to do to connect is to push the action (play/pause) button on the headphones and two seconds later I'm paired and connected (assuming the bluetooth on my Prophet is on). It may differ depending on what headphones you are using but I'm very glad I don't have to click through all those menus like you do.
Thats fine for headset devices with A2DP, but what about a device with no buttons of note, such as the motorola dc800.
I use multiple A2DP devices, and only plan to get more (headset, car, stereo). I dream of a utility which would make this process easier.
Surur
please !!! it´s so hard find a app to do this ???
help me please anyone !!!
I would like a way to do this too.
Hello everybody,
I just would like to hear some (technical) comments regarding making stereo bluetooth headset usage more convenient with a device like the HTC Universal.
My current situation is as follows:
The stereo bluetooth headset that I am using is http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02040
The inconvenient problem I am encountering is the cumbersome method of going into "wireless-stereo/hands-free/headset" mode immediately after switching ON my headset.
The pairing between the device and the headset was not an issue, however one would think that once paired - there would be no need to go into the "Partnership Settings" again, and again, and again, etc...
So assuming that the Universal device has Bluetooth ALWAYS active, I switch ON my headset and the only think that works is the Multi-Function-Button on the headset that triggers the voice dialer / voice commander. Once the phone dialer is running I conveniently go into hands-free mode. This is fine and all, but quite useless when I am not using the phone dialer.
I mean, after switching ON the headset, and then I start to play an audio file - the headset should be the point of audio output, not Universal's speakers. This does not happen after switching ON the headset. To make this happen, I must do the follwing:
1. Switch ON the headset
2. On the Universal Device, go to Comm Manager and select the Settings tab
3. Choose Bluetooth Settings...
4. Select the Devices tab
5. Select the defined Partnership between the headset and the Universal device, in my case this selection is "i.Tech Clip S"
6. Under the "Select services to use from this device" we have:
a.) Hands Free
b.) Wireless Stereo
c.) Headset
All three are selected but in reality are not working (not yet anyway..)
7. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the services selected in point 6 above to change. Clicking the REFRESH button causes the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services to be de-selected while the Headset service to remain selected.
8. Select the Hands Free and Wireless Stereo services and click on the Save button.
9. Now all is well!
So, the problem obviously is in point 6 where what the Universal device says is not actually what is reflected in reality.
But in order to work around the problem, I must do points 7 and 8. Since I wish to make an app that does the things mentioned in points 7 and 8 - I need to know what the REFRESH button actually does.
All I know so far is that the REFRESH button does not just elicit values from the registry. It does something that results in the registry values being written. This is where I would really appreciate your comments.
qtek 9000 MS voice commander 1.6 handsfree voiceenable !

Hi folks
I've got my self a pair of HP Bluetooth headphones (very nice btw!) but every time I want to use them, I have to turn on bluetooth, go into bluetooth devices, press and hold the bluetooth headphones and select "set as wireless stereo".
My question is, is there anyway of getting my phone to automatically pair with my bluetooth headphones? Rather than having to go into the bluetooth settings everytime?
Or even put a shortcut on the today page would be easier enough?
Thanks
I was having the same question, but people sais that it is not a good idea to keep your device recoverable from other devices all the time from security point of view. So, i refused from this idea

I found out that if you create a shortcut (.lnk) with notepad and put this in it:
23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1
You can get right to the bluetooth devices screen. I haven't seen how to pair something automatically though. hopefully one of the bluetooth guru's here can figure that out.
Thanks Jizzay1
Start -> link -> Tap+hold -> connected
Alot better than comms manager -> bluetooth settings -> devices -> tap+hold -> connected
Maybe someone will find a way to press a link and connect straight away, but this way I can live with in the mean time
Obviously different to bluetooth headsets. I use a Nokia HDW-3 and it connects everytime, my bluetooth is not set to discoverable either
I'm not sure why you guys have to re-pair your headsets. I never have. If bluetooth and the headset are on then I can make calls through it.

I'm having this problem with my STEREO BT headset, and it sounds like mixmasterollie is too, but it seems like the people that don't have this problem are using normal mono headsets. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I'll have a mono headset to test tomorrow to see if my 8125 will pair with it automatically.
As iunderstood for the phone calls my STEREO headset is pairing automatically, but not for music

I just tried my friend's over the ear plantronics 510 mono headset and it pairs automatically once i turned on bluetooth on my phone and on the headset. My 8125 doesn't say anything on the screen once it's been paired, but it works.
Sounds like i just have to live with manually pairing my IOGEAR stereo headset.
Try playing with the "action" button on the headset. On mine, the volume up button has a dot on it. I turn on the BT, turn on the headset, wait a couple seconds and hit the volume up button twice. It automatically goes into wireless stereo when I do that. Boy, was I happy when I discovered that!
No such luck I'm afraid, my HP BT Headphones don't auto-pair, no matter what buttons I press on the headset
I think wireless stereo and hands free act differently, whereas the hands free ones connect automatically but the headphones only option doesn't.
Shame really!
Hi! I need an help from you! Do you Know a tricks, shortcut or software that directly start up the bluetooth earphone like wireless stereo device? I each time would like play music via bluetooth must activate the bluetooth, go to comm manager, bluetooth settings, device, tap&hold on the device and tap setup wireless stereo!
Tnx
Stefano
isnt there anyone?
Well on my BlueAnt X5 buletooth stereo headset I just turn on the head set and then press the power button again and it automatically connects straight up. Maybe u have a connect button somewhere on your headset too.
Of course this is after setting up the pairing when I first bought it... and with bluetooth swithed on.
Hi all
does anyone know if there is a app that while in bluetooth sync mode with a bluetooth handsfree device could launch a switch when a incomming call comes in to give the option to select the call by bluetooth or phone or phones speakerphone? i saw this option on a iphone. if this app is not available could some maybe create one? this would be a great function for windows mobile device. i do know that there is a option after you answer the call to turn off the bluetooth but its in the menu option and not as accessable...
thanks for you help..
J
It should work simply like this on WM phones (at least on all the WM phones I have). When a call comes in:
1. If you press talk button on your Bluetooth handsfree, the call should get picked up through the handsfree.
2. If you answer the call on the phone by pressing either software or hardware button, the call is picked up on the phone.
Thank you for your reply i just have another question
will that be the same for if the phone was synced to a car bluetooth kit as well? i just want to know if so as maybe the rom i have has problems doing this...
I tried to do what is posted and it did not work for the car i answered from the hardware keys as well as the software keys and still picked up in the car. i jave to click menu then turn off hands free. is there some other option i need to select in some settings to change the way the hands free works? I will try with a blue tooth ear piece to see if there is a difference..
In looking more into this there are 2 profiles 1 is headset and the other is handsfree i believe ear pieces use the headset profile and car kits use handsfree profile i did check the earpiece and it worked as described above does anyone know how to change the handset profile? is this a reg setting or can someone tell me how these profiles are stored in winmo 6.5?
