I have resently installed WM6 about 5 days ago and when I came to turn it on today it said that my 4 digit security code was not valid. I have not changed it or installed anything in that time. I did a hard and soft reboot many times and it has not cleared the problem. Can i remove the data from my phone so that i can start fresh with a new copy or will i have to just downgrade the phone. Sorry if this has already been answered but i could find any thing about it and i dont really know anything about Blueangel.

See this and this...

If you are sure you are entering the right password then its either...
You got flat battery or somebody might have removed your battery.
The only thing you can do is to Hard Reset your phone and choose the No/Yes/No Option to protect your data.
that will restore the Original Registry BUT your program customization will be gone if you do that.
TIP:
dont use the WM6 System Password.
Find an alternative password protection program on the web.
Hi,
today that happened to me the second time. My battery runs complettely out of charge an then BA doesn´t accept my password. This can´t be right?!?!
can you tell me which alternate password protection software I can use?
I'm hoping somebody here can help, because I'd hate to have to get rid of a device that I really love...
Used Helmi's WM6 (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...angel_WM6_Home) to upgrade from WM2003SE and everything was working beautifully!
I was absolutely LOVING the new software until my device just stopped accepting the passcode that I had been using for 2 years. What I don't understand is I had to use the passcode a few times after the upgrade and all was fine. What could have happened for it to suddenly change by itself (because I know it wasn't me)?
Someone at the PocketPCAddicts forum suggested that I locate an original factory ROM to wipe out everything on the device and try again from scratch. I've searched the web looking for such a beast and can't find one (since the manufacturer/carrier no longer support it).
Can someone here help?

Had the same problem...
Hi Debbie,
Same thing happened when I upgraded from WM2003 to the WM6 ROM. Unfortunately there was no solution and I just ended up disabling the password to ensure I never got stuck.
If you ever stumble upon a solution that works for you, I'd be happy to hear about it!
I'm about to try out the latest WM6.11 and hope it will have that particular issue solved - I'll let you know.
Ken
if you press and hold power+record+camera the same time and then reset you get to the boot loader.
you will see the 3 options, which i have fogotten, but if you put in the same options as instructions tell you after flashing a new rom, then push the mail button i believe, it will format you memory and you will be able to get back in again.
i had the same problem where i was locked out and i did that and just sync'd again to get back to my positon prior getting locked out.
hope that helps
Thanks, I will try it again.
Should I be able to simply repeat those steps, or should I start from the beginning? I don't have the device with me right now.
Thanks again,
Debbie
follow the instructions after the flashing the rom stage all the way to the end.
you choose to format memory on the gray screen with 3 options.
i flashed the wm6.1(5.2.19716) several days ago, and tested in several situations, my BA can remember the pw now, thanks for the hardwork of rom maker.
Thanks! (Now Internet Problem)
I got it to finally work, after getting a 3rd hand to help in the key combination/timing.
Only problem now is that my SX66 no longer connects to the Internet. Tried every setting/CAB I could find and no dice. AT&T tech and advanced tech support didn't help and I was told that the OS may have corrupted the connectivity.
Should I try loading another WM6 version?
Thanks again,
Debbie
So here's the thing for my focus. When we all heard about the trick to force the updates through the Hungary IP thing, I got upgraded to 7008. I managed to force the actual NoDo update, but everytime I did it, I would get error: 801812C1, which meant that the software mode on my phone isn't correct.
I did some research and I found that when in Connect To PC mode, it wasn't recognized as a WP7 phone or something like that, so it didn't update the driver as it should have.
Then the Windows Phone Support Tool comes along about a week or so later, and I try that to see if it would do any good, but nothing. In fact, in the Connect to PC mode, it said that there was no device found.
And I also noticed that when actually connected to the PC in Connect to PC mode, I never see the red sign that meant don't disconnect the phone. So I'm assuming that is my problem.
As of now, I've tried most of the solutions I've found (i.e updating drivers manually, skipping the driver update when promted, running the Fixit tool on the KB posts for the specified error, disconnecting, hard resetting THREE TIMES NOW and so on. )
So thats where I am at this point, extremely frustrated, and hoping that if AT&T rolls out the update, it might work for some reason, but my fate seems grim.
Anyone wanna offer suggestions?
I was thinking maybe I could flash back to 7004 and who knows, my problems will disappear.
Or.... yeah, any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks.
I think I'm lucky my phone isn't bricked or anything at this point. -___-
Please, please, please help!
Backup your stuff on the phone and perform a hardreset.
Don't give up, young Jedi. I ran into the same problem as you. It was very frustrating. What I did was go back and redo everything I had done up to a point. I went into the registry and put it back to AT&T. Then I removed the ChevronWP7 ringtone (doubt that did anything, but whatever). I went into Chevron and undid whatever I had done previously. Undid the Hungary thing. Then rebooted the phone. I then redid everything again, did the Hungary thing again and tried the timing. Got up to 50 seconds and suddenly everything worked.
Good luck!
Like I said, I've resetted the phone, backup or not, I dontthinkit matters, at least 3 times now.

will try this. To clarify, I need to sideload the registry app, return the value to ATT ( which is 0? Right?) then do what exactly in chevron? Like what exactly am i undoing in this procedure ?
Thanks a bunch
Sorry, it's been so long ago since I updated my phone (last week <hee-hee>) I forgot. I hope I'm right, but Chevron allows you to unlock your phone. I relocked it, rebooted, then unlocked it again. Then started the procedure that's in everyone's instructions all over again. Yes, the 000-88 was put back to ATT-US. Went out of the registry program, rebooted, then went back in and put 000-88 back in.

Tried it. Didn't do anything.
Hi guys,
So, a few days ago I decided to tryout One UI Beta 2.0. A few days it worked perfectly fine, but today, it said my pattern was wrong. So I read on the forums that more people had this issue, and that it was because of the beta. So I downloaded the original firmware for my device from SamFirm, and flashed it in Odin. Phone booted perfectly and I got through the setup progress. Then I wanted to set up a pattern but it wouldn't work. I need to register my pattern 2 times like always, but after that it ask me that I need to back up my pattern, so when I click continue, something comes up for a second that says please check your network connection. And then it just doesn't add it. I tried to install firmware 2 times now with Odin, but no luck, I keep getting the same message.
The first time when I installed the firmware when I got from the beta, I forgot to disable my google and Samsung account, IDK if that may caused it someway.
Edit: I updated apps in galaxy store, and now it doesn't say check your connection, it says backup completed. But it won't change to pattern for some reason. Stays on swipe to unlock.
I hope anyone can help me with this problem,
Kind regards,
Crewz
Flash your original firmware (not the One UI 2 beta) and after ODIN says done or successfully or whatever, unplug ya phone and boot into recovery and do a data factory reset. This should fix it.

A lot of people had this issue and it was fixed 3 days ago. After beta 2 I also faced the same issue. Dont do factory reset. Just install the third update which was emergency update to fix this specific issue. Download it from beta thread.

Hi,
Okay, so with samfirm I downloaded my firmware and installed it with odin. So i tried the emergency update. I am trying to install beta 1 atm ( I read on the forums that you need to beta 1, 2 and the emergency ). but for some reason whenever I am trying to install it, I get the error "E3005 (LINK) has unexpected contents. Error in package.zip Status 7" I have no idea what to do anymore....
On android 10 nov update.
I didn't set any security because I was testing/setting up the phone till I liked it first.
However when I try to set one now, I get said error from the thread title.
Googled it, returned 2 results with no solution other than 'just factory reset it', which I'm guessing is probably the only 'fix', but hoping someone would know what to do.
