Does it allow you to create a document? I've seen one of this ports that didn't work very well... I'll just have to try it and see...
Doesn't seem like it allows you to create a new doc, just view and save. x51v Axim WM5
So its the same I've already tried...

i have a java program on my laptop that works fine with all windows as long as java is installed in it, i have a meeting very soon where i might not have internet access but i need to present this SW so i need soloution for either how to connect the XDA to my laptop through usb cradle or even better can i make the java file work on my XDA
PS my java file is 3 files

2. file.bat "contains like a dos command to initiate the above file"
3. file.properties "file needed by the jar file to read some prefixed setting & configs"

On the installation CD for the Compaq Ipaq there is a jvm called Jeode. I have not been able to fool it into thinking the Qtek is an Ipaq so it will install, but if you do that might be a solution.
Otherwise you could try to get hold of an old PPC2002-rom which includes the wmodem application. This will make it possible to use the Qtek as a wireless modem.
this is it, i have no idea what with the wmodem business that makes it impossible to have it on wm 2003, this is microsoft anyways, they make a product & use people as ginni pigs & maybe mw 2005 will be like windows xp the best SW with as few as 16000 bugs only
it's not a wm2003 issue because my xda2 have 2003 along with wireless modem

I notice there's no longer an option to synchronise access database files in AS 4. Or am I missing something obvious? Is there a relational database program that will work in WM5 ?

I had been using SprintDB Pro with my WM2003SE devices and when I got my Jasjar with WM5 I installed it and it's been running fine to this point. The developer states there will be a WM5 version but I haven't run across anything yet in the current version that doesn't work in WM5.
I downloaded "Opera 8.00u1" on my O2 XDA Exec, and it didn't work. Windows extending out of screen display area, tried to play around but no success.
I wonder if this version works for Windows Mobile 2005 at all ?
Is opera availablef ro WM2005 at all?
cheers

Cool! Opera is great on the desktop. Can you explain more about its strengths and weaknesses? Does it work in VGA mode?

yes, if you set the fonts to be smooth and small. Outstanding. A little bit of pain for your eyes, though.
Probably the rendering is more suitable for a portrait smartphone screen, but I think it will change when the definitive program will be released.

I tried it a couple of months ago. Ignore that it only works on smartphones, worked fine on my XDAII (Mobile 2005). I think i just extracted the cabs out and installed it manually.
Gonna try it again on EXEC hopefully it will make browsing easier.
Sup,
Does anyone know if the 07/6.1 Office will work with a Universal running WM5? If so, what file would I need? I already dled a couple, just don't know which to use.
Thanks
It's also for wm5/wm6 this update.
I'm looking forward to testing the new Office Mobile 2010. If anyone knows where I can find cab (or exe) to download I will appreciate.

You can download it from the marketplace, or you can visit these posts for a .cab.
Below is a link to the marketplace where you can get it.

If you're serious about running business-quality software on your PDA, try Softmaker Office instead. It's what mobile documents should be. Even the MS desktop version has very, very little over the mobile version of Softmaker. And the desktop version of Softmaker is every bit as good as MS Office in all respects. And for about $80 you get a license for both the desktop and PPC versions.
Thanks to All. I could have checked Marketplace before asking. Sorry about that.
I couldn't imagine the Beta would be available there for download.
Thank to all of you guys.

Thanks, I couldn't find it.
For some reason it doesn't appear in My Market Place on my Xperia X1. I am running Windows Mobile 6.5
I went to the Market Place website on the PC and "bought" it there. Still doesn't appear on Mobile.
Downloaded the cab file from link and installed ^^ thanks.

Are you in the States?
I have the same problem - it isn't listed in Marketplace, but I am in Canada. I am running an old HTC S620 with a 3VO 6.5 cooked ROM (which runs great and indentifies itself as a 6.5 device)
I have heard that it is only available in the States currently. I am now running the Office 2010 Beta on my desktop (and love it - was using 2003 PRO)

Yes, I second this - Soft Maker has been indispensable for mobile document processing. Its worth every penny you plan to spend!
