ORIGINAL InGeNeTiCs ROM for the WIZARD - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I am trying to get hold of the original InGeNeTiCs ROM that is supposed to be official ROM from Microsoft for WIZARD. Its strange that he submitted it here on XDA-Developers and the same is not found here (or maybe I am not able to find it). It is Windows Mobile 6, OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01 (as I find it on the forum rearding this base ROM). I have downloaded a supposedly original nk.nbf but after I put it in the folder for any other RUU and replace the .nbf with this one and flash what I get on device is OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.0.0.0.
I am confused as to which one is original and where is it? Can anyone provide me this please.
Regards,
Alber

German XDA ROM to English ROM

Sorry, I am new on this board.
I tried to upgrade my German 3.14.16 GER version to an English 3.17.03 version. But the software cannot recognize the ROM.
Apparently, it is not possible to install an ENG software on a unit bought in Germany.
Has anyone made this experience as well?
The answer is to download and run our adaptROM utility in the same directory the upgrade utility has installed in.
But.... If you take our Special Edition ROM v1.1, you get a 3.17.03 ROM based on the latest O2 ROM, but with a lot of extras, and 3 MB more free RAM.
A kind gentleman by the name of Jeff Summers has compiled our ROM and placed it on his page as a single executable. Click here to download. Since the executable also includes and runs adaptROM, it should install right over anything else.
similar problem different ppc
so, I have a h1915 ipaq. it's not an xda but I'd be real happy for help locating an english language rom to replace the german one that came on it. Are any other roms from other ipaqs compatable?
any clues? thanks in advance

Novie in ROM Upgrade

Hello everyone. I have a two month old xda 1 and I am thinking of upgrading the ROM (OS) to WM 2003. I have created the ROM (4.00.05) at http://kitchen.romanweb.com and downloaded the exe. I have also read the pitfalls of how upgrading the ROM can completely render my xda useless. Are there any steps that I can take so that if the upgrade fails then I restore my pda's old OS and functionality (being a DBA it would be bit like a database restore)? Those users that have upgraded successfully, are there any pitfalls to look out for or any literature on the upgrade process? One more question, when I do upgrade the OS, will the phone work as normal or do I have to do something to "link" it to the OS?
Thank you for your advise.
Read more posts...way more and don't use the .exe to upgrade your device. Download the OS Toolset, backup your current ROM, and then upgrade the ROM with an .nb file which you can create in the kitchen. FYI 4.00.11 is more stable than .05.
Where can get my hands on the OS toolkit. Also, will the 4.00.11 work on a UK o2 XDA?
http://xda-developers.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2189. As far as a US ROM working in the UK...I don't know. It should for the OS is independant of the radio stack. Just back up first to be safe and don't use an .exe to upgrade or you won't be able to go back without difficulty!

AdaptROM not working with Qtek 3.18.04

Hi
I'm running an O2 ROM cooked up at Yorch's kitchen. However, decided to try out the Qtek 3.18.04 based on the link posted by Othman since my device is (or was, once upon a time) a Qtek...
However, I'm unable to install the Qtek upgrade on this rom on account of version or model conflict. Downloaded AdaptROM once more (thinking my version was corrupt) but running it before the upgrade programme does not seem to help at all.
Has anybody else experienced the same?
if you took a backup of the org rom you got with the device you should put that back on and then run the upgrade
hmmm
I've changed roms so many times that I cant remember the original version, let alone have a copy of it.... let me dig around here and find if there's a link to the one Othman originally posted...

Sorry for late reply. Dunno why nobody has replied to you yet.
I don't know if you can get a french version of ROM, but the one in English released by ATT for Siemens SX56 (A.30.09 ENG) works very good. I upgraded my Qtek 1010 from version 3.14 to wm2003 several versions cooked in Jeff's kitchen but I have so far found this to be the most stable and convenient. Not only that, many bugs in the earlier versions of wm2003 are fixed. (Multiple Reset Notification bug still exists but it can be handled by scarybear software available free at http://www.scarybearsoftware.com
You can get it if you follow this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=5623&highlight=qtek+wm2003
I discovered that the Activesync method to flash this ROM does not work. The Program A just does not run. I used SD card method. It works.
The ATT release comes with ROM upgrade and Radio Upgrade files. If you are not having any problems with your present radio, never attempt to upgrade the Radio Stack. You can find enough dead devices if you browse through this forum.
Somewhere I read in this forum that the NK.NBF file can be extracted from the downloaded file, however I could not figure out how. I ran the application and quit before it started to flash the device. You can find the NK.NBF file in c:\Program Files\SX56 Upgrade*\...\english\ folder.
You can get the .nbf file out by just opening the .exe file with winzip. At least that's how I did it
Perhaps it can be done with winzip. I use Ultimate Zip and it does not allow it
i just change the extention from exe to zip and the file acts like any other zip file

Help with ROM development for rx5730

I am trying to make WM6 ROM for HP iPAQ rx5730.
The problem is that there is no any rom for this device. So i had to search common HP ROM and WM6 ROM.
I have WM6 ROM for SC32442, the drivers looking like WM5 of my device.
I have hpRUU v.3.4.0, only this version verify my device.
I found geman rom of HP 691(5,0), wrote little program to pack and unpack this rom, and packed with WM6 ROM. But the header of ROM is packed. I ran IDA and explored hpRUU, found the decode function and get unpack header. Then i turn off unpack function and put unpack header again pack into ROM. Then i fix some checks in hpRUU.exe. Now hpRUU verifies my ROM right, it puts iPAQ into bootmode and doesn't flash it. One time the iPAQ wrote "wrone signature".
Me by i did something wrone?
Can anybody explain me the process of flashing PDA with CPU Sumsung SC32442 or HP PDAs?
(iPAQ 1950 ROM have two nbf file: CEBL.nbf and COES.nbf. But hpRUU v.3.4.0 doesn't undestand that ROM. May be i need some CEBL.nbf?)
How to dump the original bootloder to get CEBL.nbf?
(I made the OS dump with itsutils. This OS dump is packed and unpacked with imgftools too).
sorry for my english.
Problem too
I have a similar problem, but I have a netherlander rx5730, but i need with an english version.
Can help me anybody where can I find the suitable ROM for this model?
I think it needed to having the original netherlander ROM and the new, english ROM too.
Thanks in advance!
Denniss
