I've used the original WM6.1 rom how base, and I've customized it!
It's a my rom with some program utilities plus Manilla 2d plus 3d driver!

This is moddable: what's mean... Mean that all software you find in Settings>System>Removable Programs you may remove and install a new version, if you find on line, or remove for major space if you need! Also the cab for the reinstallation are located in \Windows, if you need!
PPM it's a software developed by my friend Acquariusoft, it's permit to download more software from online database, so you may customize your rom how you prefer! It's in ITA and WWE language!
GoogleMaps tab is disabled in Manilla and not installed, cause manilla patched created a bug, and link don't work.
If you install GoogleMaps, it work perfectly, ma not inside manila! I'm at working to solve this!

Another way to make it work is move the "Google Maps" folder from "Programmi" to "Programs"

Thnks for your tips, also googlemaps, it's not installed!

Just dump the VGA bitmap and dll files from a chinese Diamond ROM[http://www.5dpda.com/bbs/thread-22603-1-1.html]
Cab modifed from phonecanvas qvga version[http://mbarvian.freehostia.com/2008...e-applications-cab-and-oem-package-included/]
Usage:
1. Try the [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] first.
2. If [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] doesn't work, try extract [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.zip] to /Windows of your devices.
3. If it still doesn't work, try the new [Diamond_PhoneCanvas_full_Eng_without_battery_icon.cab]
Notice:
1. Doesn't work on CDMA ROM.
2. You should enable PhoneSkin.
3. Test on dutty's 3.6b Lite ROM.

maybe the problem is that we are using stock ROM's. I've found on some other forums other users experiencing this kind of problem, and all of them are using stock ROM's :S

I am using Dutty's 3.6b Lite.
Haven't test on stock roms.

how is the memory usage of this compared to the stock htc dialer?

Well, I found "phcanOverbmp.dll" can't be overwrite during installing.
I am uploading a new cab without this file.

just a recomendation
you can make the porogram rename phcanOverbmp.dll to phcanOverbmp.dll.bak and then place the new phcanOverbmp.dll in the windows folder..after a softreset we can then delete the phcanOverbmp.dll.bak manually

I renamed phcanoverbmp.dll manually, but again can't install. Same error

The new "Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.cab" have uploading. Have been tested on dutty's rom 3.6 lite.

I've installed it. Now testing...
EDIT: It's working! Great work!!

Try the new one. My uploading speed tonight is extreamly slow.
So I can't upload more cab file.

NOTE-1 It is still under development. Please follow the orjinal thread.
NOTE-2 Although at some HTC Diamond, it was reported that with some small bugs, it is working. But for me with Official ROM Ver 1.35 NOT WORKED
Without any problem, I was able to install. But after then, When I try to start to program from "Programs / Multimedia/ Footprint" I get the following error message
"The file 'HTCFootprint.exe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
NOTE-3 If you have enough space at your STORAGE, you can try and see if it works for you. Do not worry, UNINSTALL is working perfect, At least works for me
But please do not forget that **INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK, AS STATED BELOW IT HAS BUGS STILL**
Please also reports your results with ROM details

This version of Footprint is based on.......HTC_Footprint_1.01822.3925 (This is the 2D Manilla version, but will work with TF3D)
I have done some modifications to make this work on my Fuze, but it should work just fine on the Touch Pro, or Diamond. Currently this version does NOT have the "Footprint Tab" on the home screen. I don't have lots of time on my hands so bear with me on updates. If anyone wishes to step in and modify it more, its all yours.

I have installed wad 2.5, message2reg and mortscript 4.2 cab but than after I want to install your cab it says that installation was unsuccessful!!
I have tried than soft reset and installing again your cab again, but same error!

I had the same problem on the start ( check post 2 ).
It seems that its need wm6.5.
(Please correct me if wrong).
I have tried many roms with this (about 6) and only those with wm6.5 worked fine.

I am using wm6.5 benko's(mine ROM!!
Which version you use v1.0 , 1.5 Ultra Lite, Clean?
BTW any other skin I have tested is working!

Sorry but the problem comes from your rom, the .cab files works correctly.
Makes hard reset or change your Rom, my theme work on WM6.1 and WM6.5 without any problem:
My tests : Touch HD, Touch HD2, Diamond 2 and Diamond = work correctly

How it is going on with translating ?

Followed instructions perfectly, theme installed no problem, edited the text to english perfectly.

Convert any QVGA M2D theme to VGA -- Themes are here--

[/B]As M2D has now been successfuly ported on VGA devices, many VGA device users are willing to have VGA themes. We already have a huge collection of beautiful M2D themes for QVGA, but nothing for VGA.
Luckily I managed to convert these to VGA with few simle steps, which I want to share with the community as a little contribution from my side.
What you need to have:
1. M2D VGA pre-istalled in your device
2. QVGA theme "zip" file (Any M2D theme you want to convert in VGA)
3. Throttle Theme Rescale Tool (Attached)
(Please note that this useful tool is developed by APBilbo for throttle launcher & it works perfect for any theme as it accurately resizes the PNG files from QVGA to VGA. So all credit for this goes to him)
4. HTCHomesettings.xml for VGA (attached)
What you need to do :
1. Unzip the QVGA theme content in a new folder
2. Use theme rescaling tool on this new folder. This will resize all PNG file in this folder to fit your VGA screen.
3. Replace the HTCHome settings.xml file in the folder with the one attached.
4. Zip the folder & copy in your device
5. Add and install the theme with M2DC
------------You are done ! Enjoy the theme of your choice -----------------
Note : The 3rd attachment is a beautiful theme converted from QVGA to VGA which you can directly install & check before you start converting other themes. All credit for this theme goes to the designer of the original QVGA theme.

Hey whichever i tried, after installing i realize that it is for QVGA than I have to uninstall it.
Can you please also attach a working VGA M2D so that it will be easier for newbie.

I like the Manila2D UIR a lot. I use it now for 2 months and it's very good even aon a device with only 128MB RAM.
I'm going to check your posted method after I reflashed my device. Thanks for clarifying how to do it. I will post my Q here if I have any

Glad that you find it useful. M2D is definetly the coolest UI I have come across. Was missing it badly when I switched to DX900 from ZINC (QVGA to VGA device).
If you want (and if this is OK with the original designers), we can post our converted themes here in this thread to share with all.

I had installed on MS820 but it takes lots of ROM memory and i m left with 10Mb only. This starts freezing my phone. Is there any thing i need to take care, as i m installing in device memory.

Can you list down what all programs you have installed from M2D package?
Try installing programs like 'google maps', 'youtube' etc in storage card instead of main memory.
