Hello,
i'm trying to flash for the first time my new P3300 (i have windows XP).
I have dowloaded the Aje_fr 1.50 rom and has unzipped all the package.
I double clicked on the start_uspl.exe file and had a DOS screen with multiple lines saying that there was a missing file... my HTC went black and restarted but nothing was installed.
To finish i had a 204 error message.
Anyone that can help me ???
tks guys

Have you checked out this thread use the uspl from here and read the pdf manual, its all in there.
This has worked for me on my 02 orbit.
Once you have used uspl you can put any rom on your Artemis..

in fact i found the solution... just had to put all the files in the same folder and click on start_uspl... everything worked great then

I installed the XDA developers ROM flawless, but the GRPS browsing deosn't work, and I need it. I want to go back to the original ROM, or other original QTEK ROM, but when I run the installer it stops after "waiting 10 seconds.." I tried 2 different ROMS I've found inthe forum, the UK [email protected] 3.17... and the 3.16...
How can I go back? Is it possible? Please developers help me
Thanks
yes, it's no problem to flash (downgrade?) it to O2 3.xx,
I am not very sure what happened in ur XDA, but I suggest try to use Image Tool to burn the O2 rom.
what's the image tool?
Is it different from the installer I tried?
OK, here is the reason:
B coz the rom which from xda-developers is base on qtek rom, so the id of ur XDA has been changed to qtek's id, once u want to install the rom from O2, the upgrade program found a different id and refuse to upgrade it.
u can:
use Image tool to write the ROM from O2
or
run adaptRom.exe in ur pc to update the ROM from O2, and then u can 'install' it from ur pc to XDA
how exactly I use the ADAPTROM?
I run it from the pc and nothing happenned. (A dos window opened and closed immediately) In which directory should I run it? Or is it from the mobile device through the pc? Please explain me.
The other thing is that I didn't understand correctly the process with the ROM image tool. I copied the ROM from the QTEK to the SD, and then I wrote in the SD the upgrade. Now the pc doesn't recognize de SD, I can't even format it and I'm too afraid to put it back in the XDA.
ANy ideas what should I do? I even tried Isobuster but it didn't read it.

Copy adaptROM.exe to same direcory as installer (under "Program Files", called "RUU", "Programme A" or somthing similar.
Go to this directory using the command prompt, and then run adaptROM in that directory.
Run "Programme A", it will not complain anymore...
We're working to make this easier...
i am facing the same problem
hello dear xda-develpoers .... i have the same problem but i have the qtek and i flashed it with the new o2 rom with the xda-developers 1.1 but i cant go back to my orgeinal qtek rom ..i have triyed copying the adaptROM.exe to same direcory as installer (under "Program Files", called "RUU" then i have tryied to flash the rom but nothing changes can u please help me....thanks very much
I hope you also ran adaptROM, and not just copied it. First run adaptROM, then "Programma A"...
I’m stuck with a minor problem and have spent more than a week trying to fix it. :?
STORY
To replace an O2 3.20 Eng on PCC 2002, I have cooked a French Rom based on 3.16 Qteck and included the freeware I liked, one of them being a freeware named POI (Point Of Interest) to be used with Tom-Tom Navigator.
ORIGINE
My problem is that I think, installing POI on ROM, was a silly choice of me as I cannot save any modified settings of POI such as setting for Speed cameras.
PROBLEMS
Pb N° 1. : I cannot save my POI settings. I get no really error messages, but all is gone next time I open it. Does any one have a clue?
PB N°2: As I had no clue, I decided to cook a French ROM without POI in it. But I failed to reinstall the newly cooked ROM after downloading the EXE file and running it, my PC opened DOS windows with an error message saying ERROR UNSUPORTED LANGUAGE ‘FRA’ prior to opening the Program A window. Then Program A gives me an Error 007 No Rom Image File … Cannot find ROM image to upgrade you Pocket PC.
PB N° 3: I decided to build an English ROM on 3.20 UK. as it seemed that French language may be the source of PB N°2. But after downloading it and running the exe file on my PC , a DOS windows opens and close then nothing would happened.
PB N°4: I decided to use XDAtools to flash my original XDA ROM (saved in the first place on my PC) back to my XDA, but XDAtools refuses to write to my XDA memory through Program A saying error opening c:\...\English\ for writing Access refused. Error opening the target device. “
I have no idea what XDATools tried to open so I cannot either go that root neither.
I now quite perplex on how to solve question N°1, or at best getting BP N°2 to work.
Any hint :?:
my unit come with ru rom and is cid lock
try to un lock with hard-spl but it did not work
how can i do it were can i dowmload unlock and good english rom
thanks
same problem here.
I read nearly all the treads and tried many ways to flash my pharos which is french that comes with default versions. From what I read I understood that I need to install hardSPL because the phone is CID locked. I have windows Vista (not tnat I like it but I have to stick with that because I need licensed software), anyway I understood that there is a problem with flashing on vistas. It always gives me the same error 270. I tried to flash the device with the original rom from htc and it says "invalid vender id". the htc website doesn't even support my phone. they say that my device isn't appropriate for their roms (using my serial number). the only thing that works is the Jump SPL that gives me the grey wallpaper, after starting the flash, the phone goes to bootloader and then starts but as described on other posts it stops on 1% or 2% and reboots to windows. I tryed with uploading .nbh and renamed it to HERMIMG.nbh and some other names to 1GB microSD with fat32 just formated and the bootloader doesn't find it. I don't know if the pharos have some special name like PHARIMG or s.th. like that. I worked here with my imaginations. I tryed on XP and same result. For vista there is some suggestion that it will work by changing the drivers to xp ones but the tread reffers to some other website and the url is not responding so I moved to XP and same result... If someone reads this and have to say something other than rtfm or read the wiki please don't hesitate to help
I upgraded the ROM to 6.1 awhile back.
Now, I would like to upgrade to the PDAVIET ROM WM6.5 (Core 21502) by TranMinhMan.
However, I'm running into this problem:
I get stuck with the screen showing 4 colors: Red, green, blue. & White.
The red screen saying:
POLA100 MFG
SPL-2.20.OliNex
CPLD-2
Green: nothing
Blue: nothing
White: USB.
& the RUU shows Error 260.
ERROR [260] : CONNECTION
This error occurs when there is an “open port error” before upgrading the CE ROM image.
Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an “OPEN PORT ERROR” again, reset your computer and try again.
I hard reset the phone, reinstalled HardSPL, pretty much did everything but cant get pass that screen.
Thanks for any help.

Try this...
Replace only the ROMUpdateUtility file from some other previous flashed ROM (which you know it worked) over the existing one in the PDA Viet 6.5 ROM file folder. It should be the same size in all ROM's files (1416k or something) and then try again.

Hi dizzyvampire,
My previous ROM update (6.1) was directly downloaded from HTC 's website, so it's: _HTC Touch Cruise_RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_3.13.405.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship.exe
How do I seperate that 1 ROMUpdateUtility?
thanks,

Iam extremely sorry bro it has a bug that i also know. So i think you need to change your rom until i fix that.

spl change
well i made this a while ago, and finally got around to get it fully tested and release it.
this HardSPL is based on version 1.26 SPL. and is version 2 (2.00.cmon). also i *think* this one will not hard reset the phone
it's for any OPAL***** modelid now,
thanks to wlinsong and PhamQuang for testing
instructions:
0a) make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC! if not, get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
0b) if you have vista, WMDC update is recommended: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ce-center.mspx
1) download Hard-SPL package from attachment, extract to an empty folder (Opal_HardSPL_v2_0.zip).
2) you must have the phone synced with your PC, i.e. device must be in Windows Mobile!
3) run Opal_HardSPL_v2.exe.
4) follow steps in the RUU, and check on the device for prompts after PC shows loading bar.
5) device should go to a grey screen
6) go on with RUU, Hard-SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
7 ) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 2.00.cmon
+1: if the screen won't go to grey mode (SSPL), then try manually entering SSPL by using the Opal-SSPL-Manual.zip - run the EXE on the phone then when it went to grey screen, run the HardSPL exe on PC and flash.
finally, donations are always appreciated to the "To Cmonex" link in my signature
now, enjoy the hardspl and cooked roms
UPDATE: How to flash stock SPL back for warranty purposes - please use this only if you need to return device for repair!
steps:
0. first flash entire stock ROM, then after that you can flash stock SPL as *last step*. do not reverse this flashing order please
1. get the RUU_Signed.NBH file from attachment (opalstockspl126.zip (185.3 KB))
2. run hardspl package from attachment (Opal_HardSPL_v2_0.zip)
3. *after* Opal HardSPL EXE extracts files, replace extracted RUU_Signed.NBH with the one from opalstockspl126.zip i.e. when asked to overwrite, say Yes, if it doesn't ask, then you are trying to copy it before running the HardSPL EXE, which is the wrong order.
4. flash just like you flashed HardSPL (see original instructions above)
5. device reboots, you can now check if it says 1.26.0000 or still 1.26.cmon or 2.02.cmon, in the latter case you did something wrong, it has to show 1.26.0000.
