JASJAM as a WIFI modem ?! There is a way ?! - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi,
There is a way to set internet sharing by JASJAM via WIFI connection ?
I mean if there is a way to connect from my laptop to my jasjam via wifi and get internet access via jasjam's cellular connection?

Bluetooth instead WiFi

Bad option, according to me. It's device battery overkill. Cheap bluetooth dongle is much better way of making wireless modem.

WM6 Internet Sharing. Use Bluetoooth setting, WIFI not available. Slows the connection speed. Via USB is best.

Internet ... via Wi-Fi

Hi.
I haven't find any topics on serch so decided to write...
I have a Toshiba notebook with WiFi inside and without Bluetooth card. So yesterday i've connected my Qtek 9100 with my notebook. The connection was unstable but strong. I've made Computer-Computer connection without Wi-Fi point.
So can anyone tell me can i use gprs as a modem for my notebook by WiFi?
Thnx.
Don't think so unless you can find some sort of proxy software that runs on the phone.
Or do you mean use the internet on the phone via the computer, over wifi?

Surfing Inernet using PC Connection?

Hi all,
I live in a country where GPRS is very expensive to live with, however I have a DSL connection at home, and I would like to have a program that enables my wizard to connect to the internet via my PC DSL connection, that is, the wizard connects through BT to my PC, and I will browse the internet (in my wizard) using the DSL connection on my PC.
this will allow me to be around the house while surfing the intenet via a DSL connection.
could you tell me please if there is a program to do so? does Wireless modem utility enable this? I strongly prefer freeware cause I dont have a credit card (I dont have money also!! )
Regards
It does it out of the box. Plug in your USB cable and it will start ActiveSync and your Wizard will share the PC's net connection. You can also do it via Wi-Fi. I have a wireless router at home, and I can sit in the living room and browse the net at broadband speeds on my phone - neat!

If you are connected PPC to PC you always have possibility to have internet connection on PPC by wired connection USB, by Bluetooth or WiFi( with some tricks or new AS 4.2)
Your PPC will show the connection to your PC's DSL connection in the network status window if you tap on the signal strength indicator.
My MDA II shows it like this for example:
Thank you all,
You are very neat and helpful guys

I don't think you can ActiveSync over wi-fi. You can browse the net via your wi-fi router though.

sharing wifi internet with my laptop

hi guys,
I have a tmobile mda iii, i can connect to and browse the internet via wifi. I want to be able to browse the internet on my laptop using that connection (over a usb cable).
I think the solution lies in 'Wireless Modem', but I can't find out how to use it with a wifi Internet connection. (It appears to be designed for gprs, and csd internet connections only).
Any help/pointers will be appreciated

Using Laptop as wireless modem for Universal

pleassssse help me ,
i have a laptop with wifi and a DSL internet conection
and i ask
is that possible to access the net (DSL) using my universal
(without using GPRS ) ,via wifi or bluetooth
i mean using my laptop as wireless modem , NOT my universal as modem ,
and thanksssssss
pleaseeeee help
If you're using your laptop on WiFi to access your DSL connection, is there any reason why you don't just use WiFi on your universal?
thanlks for your reply , but my DSL connected via ethernet cable to my laptop ,and my laptop has a wireless lan on it , so can i make my laptop as a wireless modem ?
If you connect the Universal to your laptop it will use the internet connection over the Activesync connection.
:edit: Just reread, but yes you can also set your laptop WiFi connection to Ad Hoc mode to allow WiFi connections to it and use a shared internet connection that way. You better find a HOWTO or something for that though since it is not so straightforward.

Sure you can - via either a direct, active BT / USB ActiveSync connection OR a Wi-Fi p2p connection or, if you install the Widcomm BT stack, even BT PAN p2p.
Please read my related articles - I've published many articles on all these technologies.
thank u alll
i'll try it and give you my feed back

hhmmm
you can do that without any software at all
if you are connected to activesync with bluetooth
you have full access to the network your pc have
unless you block it
I can connect to internet through Activesync, no prob.
I was hopping to connect as if I have wifi, not through cridle
you can if your bluetooth stack support PAN
and you setup inet sharing http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=InternetOverBluetoothNetwork
Thanks man
I was hoping to link to the internet through Wireless network as if i have wifi
thanks again
you say
"My PC have bluetooth & Wifi
My PDA Have only bluetooth (Himalaya)"
if your pc is connected to the internet using wifi
and your pda is connected to your pc using PAN bluetooth
and you have internet sharing
then you have internet over wifi on your pda
well internet over bluetooth->wifi
I'm sorry if my sentences were not clear
I want to connect to the Internet while no PC beside me
Only Wireless network as if i have Wifi in the mobile
Could this happen by bluetooth?
Thanks for ur care to reply very fast.
no bluetooth only pda can not connect to a wifi network without a pc with wifi being the middleman
or another pda or mobile which can act as bluetooth modem for the pda without wifi
