-Download the .exe from the website to your desktop
-Double-click on the .exe
-Do not click next, instead go to Start->Run-> and type %TMP% go to the folder ~rn_setup and pull the .cab file out of the directory.
-Copy the .cab to the MDA
-Double click on the .cab file using File Explorer on the MDA and it will install the app
And hey one more very important thing once u couble click on .exe file dont cancel it keep open till u are dont transfering the .cab file ok bud

Hi, it's not at all better, but the only way to stream Real' files (like .ram) Many radio' stations use these files to offer their content, such as BBC...
I am still unable to get Real to work on my PPC

I recently had the need to re-Rom a couple of Wallabies and loaded the A.30.09_ENG to do it. All went great and both T-Mobile units will now run like the wind on either T-Mobile or Cingular networks and from trial and error, I learned that they could both run the Kewlest Caller ID program that I have ever seen.
I was directed to pull it out of the Magician folders at ftp://xda:[email protected] and I did, in hopes of using it on my personal Hermes, but to no avail. It did however work great on my wife's Blue Angel, so I tried it on the Wallabies. Excellent Product!!!! Everyone with a Wallaby should be using it. It allows the owner to assign a different ringtone to each contact AND . . . here is the cool part . . . it allows you to use a different picture for each contact AND . . . AND . . . AND that image can be an animated .gif file. It is so much cooler than Photo Contacts in their current form. Check it out and enjoy.
And everyone else, sign in and ad your favorite tweak and toy or tool for the Wallaby and see if it isn't a bit happier in the pocket.
ok, sorry to be a bit of a n00b, but how do i put this on my wallaby? can i do it with a sd card or does it have to be via cable? and i cant see any installer type files, is that right??
thanks
cab files can be be installed from sd cards yes
ok another n00b question (apologies, i am very new to PDA's) but , how do i do it? is ther a folder i have to copy the files to, as ive tried to install another file and all it says is " there is no association with this file"
thanks again
Then you haven´t installed a program on your device to install Cab-Files.
Use this program for it:

It may be that you are running a version of windows that won't run it - or it needs to be re-installed (happens sometimes) because part of the program was installed on a (physically) defective portion of the memory. Wallaby's are getting old enough now to have rust on their internal components.
ok, i thought it might have been the OS as well, so i went and upgraded to WM2003, and fingerrs crossed, it seems to be working ( just need someone to ring now lol)
*edit* have set it all up with photos and ringtones etc, using wma from my card and from the phone itself, and it still plays the default ringtone and doesnt show pics when someone rings...am i doing summat wrong?
Thanks for all your post, I have the same problem and now it has been sorted!
It does not installing in my device. I have a smartphone...
ok here go another post , HOPEFULLY som one anwsers them correctly... ok peps, im having a few problems with me wing. first i would like to say that im runnin wm6.1 aserg. on my phone (i hope i type that right) ok theres a few problems i am having. first...somebody told me on my last post that i could go to wm6.com to get themes? i think that was it but anyway i go to the site and when i dled the theme ..IT NEVER POPS UP UNDER MY THEMES..i tried it a couple of ways i tried saving on my device memory through activsynce also on my card, it still didnt help all i see is the themes that came with the phone can someone please explain to me what i should do? ok second problem lol sorry im typing so much..ok now with the ringtones ..my ringtones works fine for VOICE CALLS but when it comes to text messages or email ect... my ringtones NEVER shows up!!! i dont know what is going on..someone told me that should copy and paste them in my windows folder on my phone...i tried but i cant cause it wont me let me do that. the only thing i can do it create a folder and save them in there and i did but they still not showing up. ok im done them are the only problems im having lol...CAN SOMEONE PLEASEEE HELP ME WITH THOSE TWO ISSUES
yep you have to go to file explorer after placing the items on the phone and u should see the windows folder on it place all the stuff (themes, ringtones, ect.) in there and you should be able to do everything
like i said , it wont let me paste the songs themes ect... in my windows folder it only lets me create a new folder and THEN i can save them in there. but it still dont work!!! ( what else should i do?
well did u go to check hidden file thats probably your problem
I was messing around to find the default ringtone for x8 (it rings whenever you don't have SD card present or you have USB cable attached)
but can't find it anywhere, any help ?
Try in /system/media/audio
no luck mate already tried that,
I easily found it using the search button!
See attachments, you have the notification sound too there
oh no, not this, i'm not talking about sony ericsson.ogg, well let me tell you what it sounds like :
Oh I'm sorry, didn't read the whole description
It must be one of these two.
no mate, I think you didn't check my attachment ! and the spooky thing is that I have deleted all files under system/media/audio/ringtones
I don't have any file there, but the ringtone still rings, try plugging your cellphone to a computer in USB mode, then call on your phone, you will get what I mean.
I don't think there are more SE sounds...Anyway I cant listen to your file and I don't have stock ROM (if it needs stock ROM)
ya i'm on stock, but it is really weird.. mate
What if you find a stock rom in a zip format and replace the folder containing those files?
Sent from my Xperia X8 using XDA app
well the point is , I just wanted to replace this default ringtone with my own, but can't find it anywhere at all

hello,
i've been using ringtone "Digital Bell" for months now. really like(d) it.
but the problem is, after updating the phone to 8107, this particular ringtone was gone! and new and crappy ones popped up.
could anyone be so kind and extract this ringtone and upload it for me?
i don't even know if it's possible to extract original ringtones, but i think it should be done with an unlocked phone.
thanks in advance..
the problem is that you did a hard reset after updating the phone, at least it's what happened to me, I had the digital bell ringtone still there but after hard reset was gone
I don't think it's possible to extract original ringtones, let's see if someone knows if
