Edit HTC Home APP??

i dont want to redo the app at all, all i want to do is customize the three hotkeys??? i want the text app to go to pocketCM threaded text messaging?? is that possible?

that edits the tabs and everything. I just want to edit the three little boxes above the tabs. The email, text, and missed calls

this program cannot edit those three tabs?? maybe a reg edit, to specify path to the PCM text messaging?? anyone have a clue how to do thisZ

It takes more than a simple registry hack to get this to point elsewhere. I hexedited the HTCHome.dll file to point to "fmail.exe" instead of "tmail.exe" and fmail.exe is a vjbrisk pointer to FlexMail. Even hexediting is insufficient as you need to digitally sign the dll file so it can run again. Even then, it will not go to the corresponding folders.

so...... dont even bother w/ threaded text messaging. Because i use that link a lot

maybe a mortscript can change the reaction to the tab? I want to use flexmail too, because poutlook suck so bad. Cannot display half of my email, only thing it display is the subject.

Hi, this is a beautifull news for me.. I've a VGA device and I want to edit the fixed HTCHOME.DLL for VGA that work form me but all icon and text are too small, can you explane m ehow i cann edit (hexedit) the HTCHOME.DLL?

getting total messages on today screen

im looking for a way to edit the default htc home plugin. mostly im interest in editing the messaging area. is this all in the HTCHome.dll or is there an xml that can be edited?
i want to edit the plugin so i can add the totals, see screenshot for example..
i know i can read the registry to get the totals:
HKCU\System\State\Messages\TotalEmail\Unread\Count
HKCU\System\State\Messages\sms\Unread\Count
HKCU\System\State\Phone\Missed Call Count
but from what i gather, it's all hardcoded into the dll? i figured the space is there for total count, why not try to display it?

HTC Home plugin Alarm configuration

Hello,
does anybody now where the alarm configuration tool is configured? I mean the application that is triggered when the HTC home plugin clock is clicked.
Nothing can be found in the registry and google and these forums are also 'fruitless'...
It is hard to imagine that HTC has hard-coded such a application in their application...

I would like to start ptravelalarm instead of the standard Windowsclock touching the HTC clock. Is that possible?

This is exactly what i am trying to do... Just not with the ptravelalarm application

People have asked about changing the HTC Home actions before (normally the three buttons on the Home Tab, but I think this will be the same).
A lot of devs have looked at this and cannot find any settings that govern the applications launched.
Only thing left to do is open up your Hex editor and get hacking. (Let me know if you fix it )

you can just overwrite the clock.exe since u cant delete it. i promise u can overwrite it. my htc home opens a diff alarm program for me now . the thing is getting the alarm to change icons and it's just pointing htchome.dll in the right direction. I already have an idea how i just have to be sure how to change hklm to hkcu in registry and point it to where i want it yeah

overwriting clock.exe to the program u want works. only thing is to make the alarm on icon in htc home to pop up. I have located it in the htchome.dll... the thing is to change the values coz it is pointed to hklm for the indicator rather than hkcu where programs would be. any hex "readable" tutorials u guys can point me to so i can look into this better?

Manila people Tab

Is there any way to change the order of people in the Manila people Tab?
I dont want to delete them all and after that add them in my favourite order.
Because i got daily new contacts.
I know there is a alphabetical order but i dont want to change every name, to 01-15 or A-Z.
There is no answer in the Manual..

Not by any TF3D menu. Maybe some registry tweaking?

In the Registry i didnt found anything with "people", "name of the contacts" or "manila" :/

Does anybody know a file for the people tab?

I am not sure you can get an automatic rearrangement of the contacts you see in the phone tab.
I am not familiar with TF3D, but in M2D the phone tab settings are in HKLM\Software\HTC\Contacts keys 0 through 11 for my 12 choices.
If you rearange the sequence of contacts in these keys, you should be able to get what you want.
I would probably do is export the registry keys, renumber them in my new sequence and then reapply the registry file.

Thank you for your answer, unfortunately there is no "HKLM\Software\HTC\Contacts" entry in the Registry (M3D/TF3D).
Only one in "HKCU\Software\HTC\People" but there is only "OwnerInfo".
I wonder where they store the Informations.

Configuring SMS Layout

Is there any registry key that removes the size of the SMS (e.g. 1K) shown and moves the date/time on the far right.
Just curious, I don't want to go over a lot of trouble just to change this. But if there is a simple registry change, I would like to know.
