Hi,
I own an i-Mate JAMin, and I want to change a couple of things but I don't know how. I've been looking for some tweak, but I haven't found anything regarding what I want.
Anyway, there are two things I whant to change. First one, how can I remove the battery icon in the top bar (the one next to volume icon)?:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And two, how can I change battery thresholds? For example, in the image you can see "yellow" (almost low?) it's at 20% and "red" (low) it's at 10%. I would like to change them to 30% and 20%, or other values:
Regards,
Julio.

He wasn't asking for battery leak problem..... I don't understand neither why you told him to try that, it has nothing to do with what he asked for.
@Julio, I don't know the answers, but you may want to try batti, it's a very cool 2 pixels height battery indicator on top of the taskbar, with customizable batt. level.
Or there is another one, lighter, called TopLVMbatt or something like that, have a search for toplvm.

First time when seeing the picture in Julio problem, i think Julio faced the battery leaking problem which indicated from battery icon in the top right side of your device. I had missperception about Julio problem. I feel sorry for that.

Hi
I've been looking hard with no success.
How to remove the status line from the Today screen in Qtek 9100/WM5.0. It shows WiFi and Battery status - which I don't need here - while taking the precious space...
Any idea?
Help please!
Sorry to post again here but I can't believe that there is nobody suffering from this and that there is nobody who has solved the issue until now.
There are so many Today screen plug-ins that show the information, not to mention the information is useless here - I believe.
Please let me know if it's me being a mega-geek finding ways to make something better or the answer is so simple that nobody bothers to post.
:?
if it is that important to you - here's your solution: remove Init_Tray.lnk from "\windows\start up", restart and you are done.
did i help you? then recommend me
cheers, lutz
Thats not what makes the tray. That program adds the Wifi and battery bar. You have to take out any program that uses the tray. If a program uses the tray , then the tray is automatically created.
isn't that exactly what the guy has there? why do you jump in here? if you have any other problem than kristo_ch feel free to ask....
cheers, lutz
Shame on me. So simple. Thanks lutzh.
simple if you know it. i always erase anything in start up in the first trials. trouble here was that i haven't got it back when i wanted it back
cheers, lutz

Perhaps the self proclaimed "guru" is jealous he didn't know the answer (although it's not a complete solution, as some apps like PI will bring it back, but it's a start - thanks lutz!).
i totally agree with you!!!!!!
cheers, lutz
I don't get what's going on. Why aren't people playing nice?
The Tray can be made to not be present, by removing all tray-able apps.
However, the tray can be programmatically brute force hidden if required, even if full of apps.

Hell yeah!
Working on putting it into usable form for you guys, not quite finished yet:

This is hiding the tray and minimising the soft keys down to 2 pixels at the bottom. For those who like it tidy.
I'll optionally minimise the start bar to 2 pixels as well.
V
thats cool!!!!
the rest above is only fun, i don't want to harm anyone at all!

Is this already released??
topcaser: No not yet... I'm working on it between lots of other things, but it needs to be compatible with WM5 and WM2003 and they both require very different techniques. WM5 version is done though, but not released:
V
255%
Hey VJ,
I too want a battery which I can charge beyond 100%!!! ;-)
I would have to adjust the e_stat app to show it though....
yeah, 255% battery is cool. You can see into the future. it's cold though, -5 degrees C
V
How do you get 100%. If I read the batstat I get a percentage.
And where did you get the temperature from?
Bye,
Thijs.
Doezel: temperature is built into the battery, from the battery api.
I don't understand the "100%" battery.
The 255% is coming just from the emulator having fits!
V
VJ:
I get it. I use evc4, and use getbatterylifepercent, which returns a value between 0 and 100. It's not a byte.
Which IDE do you use?
Hey all, i'm always in a hassle to find a good battery monitor for my magician, i've tried a lot of them and it seems any make my day... so what are you guys using?
edit: keep the small and usefull utilities comming
I'm using the icon that comes with SPB gprs Monitor, it's small, clear (though hard to see what's exact state) & it doesn't cost me any space, since I want to see the gprs connectionspeed anyway.
Regards, M
I use the resco today plugin to display me the battery status. It looks clean on my today screen

I use and like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2922530
I know it's simple, but I use a little self contained exe with TINY footprint called k-battery. it always appears in the top bar, and you can configure it to show time and battery or just battery.
...IB a n e
I use the VGA FixNover % battery icon and Batti, which shows a bar across the top of the screen which is visible while running applications.
I use WkTask which display a bar for the battery level at the very top.

very nice! I've been looking for this for a while. I'd rather have an independent icon on my taskbar than one replacing the start icon, so this is a great replacement for ArielBattery. Thanks!
Great idea, unfortunately does not work on my HTC Elfin.
Can someone host this somewhere other than ziddu? I can't connect from work (not sure if the site is down or blocked).

Thank you, good sir
awesome! love it.
It doesn't show the number in my P535. The icon is actually changed.
Not working on Samsung i760. Tried both cabs, the numbattery didn't do anything, the QVGA one changed the icon to a solid white one, but no numbers at all. Is there a configuration file to change or something?
Also, it wiped out my background picture of my today screen. Had to set it back up...
does not seem to work on my verizon touch pro
Did not work on my Treo 750 with WM6.0
after installing cab and restarting, I had a second battery icon (that looked like your original from the picture above, vertical lines), but no numbers.
Thanks anyway...
lol... working on polaris... thankfully
Does not work on Samsung Epix (i907).
Why does the thread opener has been banned?
If i´m right, i think he had "stolen" the battery-icon-gauge from another forum-member, and posted it her as his creation.

You are the best man!!!!!!!! Nice work!!
Dude, there is something wrong. My battery went to 10% then I connected to charger and it shows 20% all the time (the battery is full charged).
Ok, problem solved. For all you people with this bug you have to modify cab (or registry) and add those values:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:00000065
"BatteryIconIdStart"=dword:000003e9
"BaseDll"="phcanOverbmp.dll"
"BaseId"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps\BatteryIconLevels = (dword) 65]
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:00000065
this with blue highlights would rock. think you could do something like that? I would REALLY like that.
Thanks, I really like it!!
