P3600 MSN Mobile with T-Mobile - P3600 General

Does anyone have the Mobile version of MSN working on there P3600 under WM5.
If I am connected via wireless at home or work then I have no problems. If I connect via GPRS or 3G using T-Mobile's Web N'Walk I get an error that temporary conditions are preventing connection to the MSN service.
I called T-Mobile UK and been passed from department to department and then they said they blocked MSN and I needed to upgrade to Web N' Walk Plus which I reluctantly did. I still cant get on to Hotmail via the email client.
Surfing the internet via GPRS or 3G works OK. I just cant get MSN to work
Please can someone help.
John

Please, please, can anyone offer any help.
All I am trying is going into messageing and clicking send/receive and I get the error, temporary conditions are currently preventing connection to MSN. If I connect via WiFi then it's OK.
Web is OK via 3G and I am now on there new plus version of web n' walk thats supposed to support MSN.
Can anyone help.

MSN Messenger via WIFI/BT

Hi,
Maybe I'm not looking in the right direction but:
I'm able to loggon to MSN Messenger without any problems if I use a GPRS connection. I have an @msn.com address and alreaddy deleted the AutoDomain registry key. Everything works like a charme.
If I try to connect through WIFI or and (ActiveSync) BlueTooth connection however after minutes of trying I get an error "Logon to MSN Messenger Service failed because the service is not responding". I need to try again later. Yeah right...
I can surf the internet or use an internet connection on any other program without any problems through both WIFI and BT.
Any ideas? I can't imagine T-Mobile did something to prevent the use of messenger without using their GPRS connection; it's flat fee.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Cacti
I'm using a shortcut to instmsgr.exe, and a few days ago I couldn't connect to MSN Messenger. I think the problem appeared after a hard reset.
I don't think your problem is the exact same problem as I had - I think mine wouldn't connect to MSN Messenger through activesync either. But here's what I did:
I had to log in once via "Pocket MSN" (pmsn.exe), after that it has worked to use the shortcut to insmsgr.exe.

Blackberry MDS (Mobile Data Services)

I Have installed the blackberry Software on both my TYTN & XDA and both work fine I can send & receive Email.
However whenever I try to open a web page etc, it disconects my BB service and uses my Vodafone ISP connection.
Does anybody know if you can get the BB software to support MDS (Mobile data services) so that you can also send your other Data traffic back via you blackberry session to your BES.
I am guessing its something to do with having extra service books, but dont know how to install them etc.
Any Ideas?

No. As far as I've seen, Blackberry Connect does not support MDS or wireless activation.

QTek 9000 on 3 network anybody?

I recently changed to the 3 network from o2 and I'm having real serious problems with email.
I have subscribed to the internet10 add-on and I want to be able to use it primarily for checking emails, however mobile Outlook is not connecting to my 1and1 server. I have no problem with my o2 SIM (with the o2 GPRS connection settings) or WLAN, so I know my settings are correct.
I have no problem surfing the internet using mobile IE, so the connection is set up OK, I just can't check my emails, which is really all I want to do.
Does anybody have any experience with this? I have tried using the search function, but "3" and "three" are such generic terms I'm getting about a million hits...:-/
Also, I could really use the 3/Qtek 9000 ROM so I have all the relevant 3 software. If anyone has that I'd be very grateful too!
Thanks in advance.
Is there really nobody here that is using a QTek 9000 on 3...?
Are you getting web pages on the 3Services connection with the internet pack? I.e you can browse outside the 3 garden like get SMH. If you can and outlook is not working try another mail program or try pinging it from the command line to test connectivity. You can use the task manager if you have the Helmi rom it comes build in to ping your mailserver. Or try pocketTTy to telnet to your mail server on ports 25 and 110. If you cannot telnet it's possible that 3 blocks incoming and outgoing port 25 and 110 connections to stop the use of other mailservers. You could try the 3Netaccess connection which is the same as connecting the to the internet but that is charged at $4 per mb unless you sign up for one of the internet packs. If you find you can telnet try another mail program like flex Mail.
Good luck

ha I just noticed that your are from England. We have the same addon pack in Australia. You can try what I suggested but the access points would change.
Hey guys!
I also use the 3 network, but I live in Austria. The problem is, that in Austria Three doesn't support the Qtek 9000, so I don't have the original ROM. Is it posible that someone could send me this ROM via email or rapidshare?
I got most of the things (like MMS, Planet3, Email) to work, but I sill can not watch mobile TV...
Can you please help me with this MobileTV thing?

universal Blackberries - Help

Hi I have an O2 XDA Exec (personal contract) with the BB Connect software up and running. I also have a Blackberry 8700 that connects to BES at work on the O2 network (BT Mobile I think). I can get BB Connect to work with regards to email, and everything works well
However, when I use the blackberry I can use Opera Mini to surf the web and Google Maps Mobile, so I know I have access to data.
When I put the SIM card in the XDA I can't seem to get the data connection working. I have tried several APNs - o2.wap.co.uk; mobile.o2.co.uk and blackberry.net, but none seem to give me access.
I am aware that my compnay may well have blocked some ports/protocols, but as I can access Opera Mini and Google Maps from the blackberry there must be data there somewhere. Anyone got any ideas as to how I could do it?

As far as I know blackberry and internet are two different connections. As you can use blackberry on your universal you need to get the internet connection setting from your provider (It should be here in the forum as well) and manually create a connecting setting and you should be able to view the web pages as well.
When you use the internet connection your BB connection will be disconnected as you cannot have two connections at the same time.
Hope this helps.
Right, it's taken me a while, but I've got a bit further with this. The reason my blackberry can access data, but using the same SIM in my Universal it can't is all to do with the blackberry connect client.
As my companies SIM won't enable 'data' (ie the WAP or internet APN) the data is coming via the Balckberry BES MDS service. This allows the BES to act as a kind of proxy for data.
The bad news is that the Blackberry connect client on WM5 doesn't support MDS. The good news is that the Blackberry Suite for WM6 that has just been announced http://www.techatplay.com/2007/04/24/blackberry-to-run-on-windows-mobile-6/ should.
Bring it on!

Unusual E-mail Behaviour

Well this one has got me well and truly stumped!!! Hopefully one of you guys can help out with this....
I have set up my e-mail, standard pop3 account... I can access and send mails through my ISP mail via GPRS, 3G, HSPDA no problem... I can even send and recieve mails when using WiFi at work no problem, however I get the standard windows mobile 'Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device...' timeout error ONLY when trying to conect to mail through my home WiFi network or when internet sharing through activesync... I have no problem accessing the web at home using WiFi or Internet Sharing just e-mail... and just to make things even more unclear any other PC or laptop has no problem at all with my e-mail when connected to my home WiFi network!!!
Any ideas, hints, tips or suggestions greatly appreciated
