Boot Screen Image - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

How do I change the boot screen image? The first one that comes on as you boot your Wizard?
I have the Wizard Love image... and I don't really enjoy its presence on my masculine phone.

haha yeah i had that and got rid of it using a WM6 splash screen it looks alot better than the wizard love rom lol
heres the link:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/WIZARD/Roms_Bootscreens/WM6_Splash_Wizard_NOID.rar
You have to flash your wizard with it just like a normal rom upgrade if you have WM6 you need to download the AKU3.3 updater which is avaliable with this radio rom. Just copy the nk.nbf file from the wm6_splash to the radio rom folder and overwrite the radio rom (which also is called nk.nbf).
ftp://xda:[email protected]/../Wizard/Radio_Roms/faria 02.69.11.rar

If you want to make your own boot screen images, look at this post:

HOW: Extract splash screen from phone ROM?

I'm going to upgrade my Trinity to WM6 but I'd like to retain the original device branding splash screens of HTC and Vodafone.
Is it possible to extract these images from my installed ROM before upgrade.

Yes it is possible.
The tool you will need is Olipro's Custom RUU Updater, which can be found here: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Trinity/Tools_and_Programs/ModifiedRUUUpdater-V2-TRIN.rar
You can extract the splashes with either ROMBaker or NBHExtract.
Also check in DEVICE\Windows for a file called welcomehead.96.jpg or welcomehead.96.png. You might want to save that too.
In case you want to dump your actual ROM, use the guide described here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_HowtoDumpRom
For flashing a custom splash, check here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_SplashScreen

Good luck!
Great...great help there.
Thankyou.

How to remove PDAMobiz Start Logo

Hi every one
I flashed a Pdamobiz rom and i didnot like it much so i flashed my touch again with other manilla based rom(s).
The problem is : PDAMOBIZ rom replaced the smartmobility screen that apper after soft/hard reset with a green screen with a sord(i guess) in the middle with with Pdamobiz.com on it and i hate this screen .
Can any one of XDA experts guide me how to remove it and restore smart mobility screen again
You'll need to flash the 'smart mobility' RUU_signed.nbh file onto your phone. Make sure it is CID unlocked first. Refer to this thread....it has the entire solution as well as the file you need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413129
thank you for your response but i cant download the file attached in this link it says that my account doesnot have this previleage (may be because i am a junior member) any ideas
Hmmm...sorry bout that. Yeah...you cant download from that thread because its closed. Well...if you cant get the main splash screen from there...you can refer to dsixda's posts on how to restore your elf or elfin's rom. Its in the wiki. There's a detailed breakup. I think you need to extract Mainsplash.nb out of the original shipped rom. It's all there on the wiki......a little bit of reading required. Make sure you flash the correct version of the splash screen....i.e there's different ones for the elf and the elfin.
Good Luck.
thank you you were a great help
have a nice day

Remove Boot Screen Branding

Does anyone know how to remove the boot up screen branding? I have installed custom roms, radio etc but it just will not go.
I searched the forum but cannot figure out what to search for as its not the welcome screen or start screen
Hi.
Chefs dont usually cook in a boot screen or radio when thay cook a rom so thats why it wont change. what u can do is flash an official rom from HTC and then it will change to a HTC boot screen. Or alternativley, have a look here....its awsome!!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625911
Let me know how u get on!
well i know i will have something to do tonight, it looks fairly straight forward but also tempted to wait until the chefs release a new batch as it took me over an hour loading everything back and configuring.
thanks for the link

Use SPB Backup to backup up everything. it will also backup all your settings including ringtones, alarms etc.... It wont take long. i do it all the time as i am constantly flashing(Roms) to find the best rom for me!
I ahve the same problem, the boot screens in the links happen after the boot screen that I want to replace, mine has a pink circle that I'd rather replace with something else, any ideas?
you can use HD2 Tweak to turn off that initial white HTC screen

In that link, only part A is the actual splash screen (the nbh file, you flash it like a rom) that wont be overwritten by a custom rom.
B C and D are follow on screens that you instal via a cab and will be lost after a flash/hard reset.

As above, just flash an official rom. Im saying that coz i onced flashed a Rom which i faild to notice that it was a test rom, so the boot screen had a message saying that it was only for testing not for sale!. I flashed back to custom roms but it wouldn go.i looked for help but couldnt find anything until a friend over at the Topaz forum told me that it was something that chefs dont really cook into their roms. so i thought why not try an official rom? did just that and got back the HTC bootscreen. OK, enough of the sob story!

Tmobile splash rom need, please!

I will return my HD2 to Tmobile (USA). I flashed a custom splash screen rom and now need a original splash rom change it back, or anybody know how to delete it and it will work too ( I still have 1st screen and animation from tmobile when it boot, but there is a extra picture between them). I did a lot of research, but I couldn’t find it. Could anybody here help me out?

I covered this in a thread I wrote for the TP2, as these devices are the same resolution, the steps are almost the same.
Check out the "Step 6" section.

There are a few questions before you proceed.
1. Did you HSPL your phone? If so you need to take that off (for turn in) and flash the original ROM from your SD card (this will remove HSPL).
Please see this thread for how to do this> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655653
The 2.10, (not 2.10.1), 2.11, 2.13 all have the required splash screens included in the ROM's for Tmo US
2. If you did not HSPL your phone then see the above post. Most of the SPL screens are generic for HTC.
Yes, I did HSPL and tried 2.10, 2.13, but it couldn't remove 2nd screen (extra one).
Thank you, Dave. I read your artical and it is helpful. It is complicate for me to do it by myself. Do you have an easy way?

Not to doubt you but the 2.13 Stock ROM overwrote all these screens... I had custom ones on my cooked ROM's and it cleared them out.
But I'll throw you a bone ;-) go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625911
down near the bottom of the first post is the originals.
I installed LEOsplash_Stock.zip, it replaced stick together screen. However, the extra splash is still there. After I flashed 2.13, 1st from Tmobile came back, other thing wouldn't change. What else I can do for it? Thank you. By the way, I couldn't install HTC HD2 BIOS Boot Splash Screen DEFAULT.cab.

The first boot screen has to be flashed... The archive should have a ruu_signed.nbh file inside. Here is what I use: - Remove the TMobile "pink" Spash screen, post #5.
In fact, I already returned my phone to tmobile and do have chance to try your method. Thank you for your input.

image errors when loading new rom please help

downloaded someones rom and it is stuck in start up mode. it stays in boot mode bc some didnt cook there rom right. it just keeps reseting the phone. it will not boot up just the start up screen. i can get it to go to the tir color scream thats it will you help me. tryed to change to a different rom maybe your and it says error 270 the image file is corrupted. i tryed to change it to any rom and it wont. finaly got the phone to load up. the rom wont load up at first with the micro sd card in the phone. try changin it out now that the phone loaded up with out the sd card in. i got it dont know how cook that one up would want anyone else to go through what i just did took all day. ivan has the best and know how to cook. got one of his roms back on my phone. i know his roms dont freeze up the phone on start up screan
First step. Finding what phone type you have, i.e. Herald, Wing, Dopod..etc.
Second step. Find the Original ROM that came with your phone. Do this by going to your manufacturer's site and downloading it with your IMEI number.
Third step is to Flash the Original ROM to device.
Fourth step. Download the HardSPL folder and run the three cab files in that folder and then run the romupdateutility.
Fifth Step. To flash a custom ROM replace the canonyang.nbh image file with the custom .nbh ROM image.
Sixth Step. Run the ROMUpdateUtility again with the new .nbh file.
One other thing.. Don't blame cooks for your inability to flash ROM's..
looked at the tmobile website and the htc website for the orginal rom (for the hearld/wing) that came with my phone which is the wing couldnt find it at eather sites. i know how to flash rom i am not retarted. i am taking a guess that it is better to go back to the orginal rom b4 flashing to another rom.
Yes, you are correct.
I've downloaded the tmobile ROM image for you:

Post back if you need more assistance.
thats right ..cooks are doing a vrey good job over here.. shouldn't blame them ..i too had a similar issue where it would just reboot and go no further ..i used a card reader to put trib's ROM inside and flashed it through SD..everythn's working great ..

Thank you for your validation and support ^>^
thanks buddy i really couldnt find it any where. works great for a min. it will not load up with out my sd card out after loadin and going through the boot up process i put my sd card back in and after a hour or so it will start doing the same thing reboot. i am just going to stay with the orginal rom then i know that my phone will work everytime and not reboot. unless u got a rom that is better then super kitchen version 4.1.13.61 because that rom must not like my phone. i really like the super kitchen rom cant find andthing like it. just need something with some ram and speed
Try using any of my ROMs, but before you do make sure you HardSPL.
I'm going to move this to General since it has nothing to do with the development of roms.
