I just want to ask if anybody discovered some clean way to remove softkeys from WM5/6 systems. I don't want to use utility from vijay555 - i want ro do it in a clean way by modding system itself...

I've got one (?stupid?) question. I need to make my application "uneraseable" from my MDA.
Is any posibility to download rom with CE+preinstalled soft -> modify it (add my application) -> and upload it back???

As far as I know, there is no way to modify the ROM image. Some "slight" changes are possible (changing text strings using hexedit), but it's risky... Buy MMC/SD card and use SD Backup app

Is there a way to cook my own custom rom with our own application, and make it the only application that can run, thus disabling/deleting any other application on a PDA (WM2003 and WM2003SE)
the only thing that needs to work, is the GSM/GRPS function and our own application.
best of it is offcourse that our application starts when the pda is turned on.
our application is build with .NET....
is there a way?? please advice.

But be warned. You would get your device unbootable several times before you'll figure out how to use them. And You'll need some manual editing of ROM to remove unnecessary applications.
Is there a way to remove the setup wizard from the XDAIIi after a hard reset?
Im trying to make the re-build process as simple as possible for the users who dont have a clue......
What effect will it have removing this, if it is at all possible?
I thought it was part of the extended rom, but it doesnt appear to be.

I've come across this problem on my Xda Exec any program I try to uninstall through remove program in the settings it gives me an error say that it was unable to remove the program.
Anybody come across this problem.
If it is a bug has anybody find a way to fix it.

Have removed loads of programs with no problems on my wizard. Are you using a memory card ? All my progs have been installed to the built in memory as I dont have a mini sd yet.
It does not matter where I have the program install it gives me the same problem.
I've try installing it on the SD Card the Main memory everytime I go to remove it from the remove list I get error Its has not been completely removed do you what to remove it from the list you say yes the only thing it removes is the name of the program from the removal list but the program is still where it was install with all the icons.
So please can anyone help or I have to do a Hard Rest which I real do not what to do.
I'm trying to unistall Phatspell 1.4.
I've deleted the directory with all the dictionary but I have an Icon left in the settings folder which I do not known how to remove.
Look in the system folder with Total Commander but it is empty like all the icons are hide.
Help please.

Try SK Tools to clean away anything left from the uninstalle.

I had the same problem. As hotfix is SKTools the best choice in my opinion, but after a hardreset was the problem gone. I'm able now to deinstall the programms cleanly.

First Questions:
I just Install ACTIVESYNC and i see that i don't need it - how can i remove it form the phone? (i did uninstall for the pc)
i didn't find the option in the menus, and the software open's outomaticlly when i use the phone.

you cannot uninstall activesync from your hd2. it's an integral part of the os.

Why would you want to remove it? Granted, moving files around is simply a case of kicking in to Disk Drive mode but (in my experience) if you're gonna use apps such as SPB, you're gonna need Activesync on both device and PC.

yeahh i also want to know this, because its always opening by itself and causing phone lag
Don't know how to uninstall it, but if you open Activesync/Menu/Options, you can delete the sync sources, which should stop it from trying to sync automatically.
