thanks for the efforts carnivor, but i dont think the ftp is working, or basically i cant access it. tried the browser and an ftp client. cannot connect to the server, it times out.

I managed to rip the MSN messenger dlls from my kjam. Here they are. Messenger now works fine in VGA mode.

Those files were set with Read Only and System attributes and Activesync refused to copy those files to my Jasjar until I removed those attributes. After that they copied fine.

wicked, just popping them onto me JJ now, i was going to ask if someone could post them from another phone, the site was down, it was horrible i was awfully lost without it

Allow MSN Messenger to work when in real VGA mode. Without them the app just hangs or fails to start up.

ive attached the latest vga stuff time date stamped
its got the msnm dl''s alldone in it.
also i dont really think the phone skin is going to be a major problem, i see on buzz's site they're skinning the phone app, i used a couple of the tweaks to change my qvga dialler background, so maybe the rest aint as hard as first thought. I say that in the tense that buzz prob speant hours of brain cells working it all out.

Ohh rilot, you are a deamon, msn this res is wicked!!! 22 contacts in landscape mode, godda be some kind of a record, i mean its actually useful now, better than the usual 2 is it? hehe

Can anyone post some screengrabs?

Carnivor, looks lovely: get the feeling that guy in the first pic just felt his trouser pocket distend and rip with the jasjar. Man, I'm afriad to pocket it and get a hernia. But it has such a nice solid feel to it, like a mini tombstone. They should advertise that as a feature! Engraved...
I've also noticed that I can feel the electric charge buzz when using it and holding the metalic top. I'd be careful of using it in the bath!
Carnivor: how do you find wisbar's skinning? Does it impact on speed? It's quite cool.

wisbar is good, the .12 is alot better, but you do still notice the improvement when you close it.

Carnivor, this is just awesome! Working well with WA2 AND WAD! Quite surprised was I!
Some issues I am having that u may already know how to solve, in which case I'd appreciate ur input:
- Fonts tough on eyes. What changes do u recommend over and above ozVGA settings?
- Some dialog boxes only show half the text b4 the yes/no buttons overwrite the bottom part. Any ideas?
- PIN pad is all overlapped; not a big deal
- BUT, phone pad is a bit of an issue; too small and I have to turn off quickdial. Any ideas on this?
- My SIP keyboard loses its skin. Can the skins on buzz's board be applied somehow?
- Calculator keys too small; do u know of a working calc app cos I truly need a calculator available at all times
- My oh-so-pretty WA2 and WAD hi-res themes need to take a trip back to low-res world else the buttons are too big! Darn!
I'm gonna try sticking to this mode. Hell, all the apps I've got working well on WM5/VGA work just as well under this mode, so why go back? and PIE is OH SO PRETTTTTTYYYY!!!!
PS: What do u use for screen shots on WM5? Would like to post a few of mine.

hmmm.... that's what i'm thinking - for the Today screen anyway. i wanna be able to read the stuff here with a glance, and the teeny fonts make that difficult. is there anything we can do about this?

I have a question as nooby as it might sound
I have My XDA Mini S and love it, but the desktop is pretty boring if i might say.
I have had things like Iluncher and stuff like that looks ok,
But i realy like the XP look you can get eXPerience its called
This is ONLY Windows 2003 Compatible, Is it worth installing WM3 on my phone just for this,
Or can anyone recomed a nice Skin that Gtes ride of the boring Start butten at the top and makes it look a little like XP
Or just something that Gives it that Wooooo and not Borining

no need for downgrading an entire OS for the look...u can get a program called Wisbar...u can do crazy things with it....

i was going to open another post but Oh well,
I have downloaded about 4 Skins and Added them all into one, Some skins there are things i love and others things i dont like.
Its almost looking perfect for what i want, But there was a few things i was stuck on.,
How can i have the Control Pannel (Settings) as a shortcut am trying to creat a docking section with Settings, Programs, Games, and Network on,
But Settings i cannot find it anyway Any Ideas

On the Today Screen you have a section for Messeges, I think thats great when i have a messege i can see 1 new messege or email etc
Is that possible to creat this as a shortcut??

Hi , I think im posting this in the right place... anyway I have a t-mobile wing.. with the ****ty 200mhz processor..
After putting a few progs on my phone like HTC home, Icontacts, googlemaps, and the other default stuff that comes with the phone, it always ends up saying my phone is running low on storage space. even though i always install everything to my storage card... i dont get it. I close all programs and everything. I use to have a lot more programs before i had to hard reset my phone, and it ran fine, to as much cool progs as it could handle before it would give me that message. This phone seems to not be able to have a lot on it.. idk any opinons on this would be great. Now it seems like it cant handle as many programs as it did before.. wow.But anyway i was mainly wondering, how i delete the dang files in the windows folder... Delete is not an option..

you need to flash to a rom with lots of free memory and less applications. ivanmmj has a really good rom called JustMe. It sounds like it would work perfectly for you. here is the link:

wm 6.1 pro

hey guys im still kind of new to this stuff. but right now i have windows 6.1 on my wing and its nice. but i seen a video on youtube with a wing that had 6.1 pro and it was AWESOME so i would like to know is there anywhere i can go and get that? oh yea and by chance can i ever downgrade back to the reg windows that came with the phone? and if i can do i just go to tmobile.com/wmupgrade ans starr from there?

What you have is already a PRO version as it is meant for all touch screen pocket pc device. Maybe you saw a different GUI effects which may be like TouchFLO 2D or so. If you can give a link to the YouTube video, we shall give you the suggestions.

That is not a "version" of or an iphone theme. It's just a ROM that has a lot of things put together to look like that. Looks like they have the old HTCHome with a skin on it, a Windows Mobile skin and S2U2 with a skin. It looks like an older ROM, actually, but I like the red theming. I don't know what ROM it is exactly, though. Oh, and that menu system is a somewhat buggy software... I forgot what it's called. It's hacked from an italian phone, I believe...

I do also Ivan ,thanks for that non useful paragraph. but can ANYBODY ELSE HELP ME????? im trying to see if i can get wm 6.1 pro or is that not released or something? as far for the themes when i download then and save them they never show up under my themes. could it be that im doing it wrong? i have aserg 6.1? do this ROM not let me use other themes?

1. You're rude.
2. It is not WM6.1Pro. Did you at all read what I wrote? 6.1 was never officially released for this phone, we (yes, I and others) ported it to this phone.
3. If you're not seeing them, you ARE doing it wrong.
Seriously, dude. I take my time to try to help some and you try to bite at the hand that feeds you. I could have done what everyone else does and said, " Search, noob!" Because truthfully, the answers ARE there if you bothered searching for the right things.
I even TOLD you what programs are being used, btw. That's about as much help as you could ask for.
It's not a THEME only, it's a SERIES of program. Let's quote me:

Now, if you searched for HTCHome you'd get the program called: HTCHome. If you searched S2U2, you'd get the program called: S2U2.

Almost sold my HTC Touch Pro 2 but ...

Almost sold my HTC TP2 but SOMETHING told me to wait .. Problem was I was not happy with anything about it except the quality and feel ... I have been using the iphone for over a year now. got so used to that who interface. Someone said try the SPB Mobile shell .. I did .. had an old version from I don't know how many years ago .. Didn't do it for me ... then I went to see what the latest looked like .. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT .. After than I installed the idial pad and the icontacts freeware and my phone I believe is going to pass up my iphone. I will be passing that to my son. There are a few apps that I will miss but I might find a replacement if I keep looking .. The most missed will be the program for looking at my eBay auctions and second is something called Glucose Buddy .. iphone just makes things so simple ..

I don't know how, but whatever was just GONE and couldn't get it back... ON and ON ... I wish WinMo would react to touch a little better, more like the iphone, but it is close enough.
ALSO: I am a gadget-a-holic. I saw one that someone had and just had to have it ..

It makes the menu in file explorer all fit in one screen...stock and some roms make the menu finger friendly, where you have to scroll up and down to see the rest of the menu options.

At the risk of sounding like I should have my phone taken away from me and replaced with an old Nokia or Motorola .. Is there a ROM that would transform this phone into an iphone sort of ?? What I miss the most is that with the iphone there is no digging. There is an icon for settings and the rest of the icons are applications .. I like that because I feel lost every time I pick this phone up .. Yesterday I had to go somewhere and didn't want to have that, "how do I ??" look on my face so I put my sim in my iphone and left my HTC at home ..

Every Sense 2.5 rom offers you today screen with roll-up-applications-on-a-screen (specially Cookie`s amazing Home Tab + editor), plus every important notifiaction on a screen. If you don`t wanna change your rom, you can install Iphone today, it gives you exactly same screen interface like Iphoney - no digging, just taping and you getin` there. Thanks for the iphone today skin info. I installed it and I am tweaking this and that .. I know windows mobile people hate hearing "I love my iphone." But I will say this .. I HATE THE FACT THAT I LOVE IT .. but I miss all the other bennys that come with owning something OTHER than the iphone .. I am now happy to have the best of both worlds.
Lately my eyes are getting older [ I AM NOT THOUGH ] and I have a hard time with windows mobile, especially making calls while driving. So don't get me wrong people .. I love Windows Mobile. I love HTC phones .. I hate Apple ANYTHING .. but I not only WANT but NEED the big icons etc that I have on my iphone .. I hope to be selling my iphone or giving it to my son if he still wants it, in the near future .. He is actually talking about getting the HTC HD2 I think ..

well i know that you can increase the text size but i myself never really did check to see if it did work since i can see but go under settings -> system -> screen. then go to the text size and adjust it from there. not sure if it would work or not but hope it does do the trick for ya

You can configure SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.3's home screen to be almost a dead ringer for iPhone. I understand the thing about picking up the phone and feeling lost, but only when I'm supremely inebriated, sleepy, or trippin' pretty hard. I got SPB set up with 3 pages of quicklinks for 95% of the things I do with my phone. I like to leave the stuff that can temporarily bork the phone in a place that has to be dug out to find...

There is also an exact shell replacement that mimics the upcoming WM7.
