I purchased a Sandisk (genuine?) 4GB HC microSD card off of eBay for $60 and so far it works great.
I've heard that the official word from T-Mobile is that it isn't compatible but I thought I would give it a try anyways and viola...
I'm hopeful that the 8GB one will work too.
nice good to know, well i dont think t-mobile ever gave an official word bout it :O
found the answer...

I was looking at the stats of the Wing from the T-Mobile manual, and it states it supports SD 2.0, which means SDHC (up to 32 GB capacity.)
I'm willing to bet that the 8GB one will work without issue.
anyone else got it working? I bought a sandisk 4gb sdhc card and it doesn't work.
Found out my card was bad, waiting for the replacement
It's 100% compatible...
And this is the compatibility list:
http://www.sandisk.com/Compatibility/DeviceList.aspx?DeviceTypeID=1007&ManufacturerID=1339
That is good as hell to know Thanks
Does anyone know if this will work? Couldn't find any info on Kingston.

8gb Micro SDHC
I can confirm that the 8gb Micro SDHC (class 2) works on the Herald/T-Mobile Wing. I just purchased it, and have been using it for almost a week now, with no problems. Both Windows and Mac recognize it as 8gb (less when formatted) while it is in the phone, and have no problems reading or writing to it. I hope this helps if anyone was wondering.
8gb hdsc

Put it into the Kaiser, did a soft reboot and and clicked on settings >>Memory>>Storage Card - it says 7782.47MB free!
Wahaaay! Looks like ive got myself 8gb of storage for mp3's, movies and files for my kaiser now!
I will copy over some songs during the weekend and give a final update on how its going, but from first looks, its brilliant!!
Very excited to have so much more storage space on my lovely kaiser!
For those that want to know i bought at the ebay link below, but you can buy this card anywhere and it should work alright.
The ebay guy took a week to post it, and you might get it quicker elsewhere.

That's a standard SD, it won't work in your phone. I got one of those (except made by OCZ - 8gb/Class6) a few months back for around $40/shipped (USD).

Which one wont work? The San Disk one? Or the cheesy looking AData one?
the sandisk one will work, the other adata wont work since its not a microSD.
£44 inc delivery
£44 from a store with an apparently good reputation: http://www.modaco.com/content/Windows-Mobile-News/263088/8GB-microSDHC-reader-44-41-DELIVERED/

I read on eBay reviews that if it did not have the SanDisk hologram then it is not authentic/authorized for sale.
How true is that?
I previously purchased some SanDisk flashdrives on eBay and they looked and felt genuine...
Yesterday Im buy SanDisc microSDHC 8GB and work ok with my HTC Tytn II...
I am sorry, but I have searched before asking. What is the Maximum size that the Mogul can handle. I have heard between 4GB/8GB will work. But Before I buy, I would like to get your honest opinions as to what to buy.
Thank you for your input

I have had a SanDisk 8gb microsdhc that has been great. I don't believe you can find much bigger yet, but soon there should be a 12 or 16gb microsdhc released.
With the new ROMs you can use SDHC without issues, but you will need a non-sdhc to flash 1-2gb is best.
i think the 12 is already out, 16s were supposed to be available this month
SDHC is capable of up to 2tb, so theoretically so is the mogul
Thanx
I will go ahead then and get the 8GB version, thanx a lot for the input guys. I appreciate it
I believe you need to have the latest firmware to go over 4GB don't you?
anything after 2.09 supports 8gb, otherwise there is a cab with the driver for it
Using the 8gb sandisk (class4) in my mogul, be sure to get the one that includes a sdhc reader since 1st gen microsd readers can't read 'em. I believe mine was 50$ at newegg.

Can any X1 user help me out, here?
My X1 should arrive tomorrow, and as far as i am aware, here in the UK we are not getting a memory card in the box.
So, Am i looking to buy a simple Micro SD card, or does this device support Micro SD HC?
Thanks for any useful answers. I just dont want to have to go and exchange after buying.

It supports microSDHC up to 32GB (when it's released).
yup, I'm using a 16gb micro SDHC card (can't wait for the 32gb to become available!)
I bought an 8gb SanDisk Micro SDHC card on Amazon for £14 and it works great in the X1
Thanks, peeps. I was thinking about getting 2 8Gb cards, so i'll probably check out Amazon, amongst others.
I find 2 cards better than just 1 for my own needs. Thats kinda why i needed confirmation of HC support.
Thanx again, and stay happy, all.

For me its kinda easy to lose those small cards. I have one in my phone and one in my laptop for ready boost and I always seem to forget there is a 4gig in my laptop.

It says that X1 supports microsdhc in the whitepaper. And I can also confirm that Sandisk 16Gb microsdhc works well in my X1.

Someone was mentioning that tracks tend to freeze with the 16gb when changing songs. Do you have this problem?

I haven't noticed something like that. At least with PocketPlayer.
Micro SDHC Class 2 or 6 ?
Hi,
AFAIK the 16 GB Micro SDHC are currently only available with Class 2 speed.
Is this sufficient for the X1 ?
Or is there any advantage using a Class 6 Micro SDHC ?
AFAIK these are currently only available upto 8 GB like the SanDisk Mobile Ultra series.
Any recommendations?
Thanks you.
Regards,
Andreas
Hey guys, I tried to search about this topic in the forum but I don'y anything about it or was it just already in pit of the forum?
Anyways, I would like to ask the maximum capacity of memory card for Elf(in)? I am planning to buy a micro-sd and I just want to buy the best available.
Does it support SDHC memory cards? And also, does using a large GB of memory presents a risk on my device to be brick when time goes on?
Thanks for the help guys!

I have 4gb micro sdhc and it works fine. I have heard that 8GB won't function properly after a while. But I am not a genius
SanDisk 8GB
I've been working with a SanDisk 8GB MicroSD HC for about 4 months now, and still have had no issues...
And that goes without saying that I think It's a fake SanDisk, because of the packaging.
Have an 8GB SanDisk on my Elfin. Works great.
@vette95: Good to hear that! Thanks for responding..
@htedum: how long have you bean using your 8gb micro-sd? Haven't experienced any problem yet? Any slow down or hangs?
i've been using 8gb in my elf for over a year and did not ever have any issues or hangs so i would recommend it.
just my 2 cents
Wow! Thanks bro for the feedback! Will buy 8gb now.. hehe..
Been using it for two weeks now; no problems at all. I've overclocked to 273 using HomeScreen, maybe that helps. Loaded up 6G worth of music and 1G worth of movies. Installed PocketPlayer (and TCPMP for movies), and I have a slick, portable media player. Battery life isn't bad at all, but I've ordered a 2500mAh replacement, waiting for that to come in.
A tip - be sure to pick up an original, name-brand card, even if you have to pay more. A lot of fakes going around, they may slow down your phone.
@vette95: No problems with your fake?
I've been searching google how to detect fake micro-sd but unfortunately the only info I got was to make sure the serial of the memory is readable and also try to call on the manufacturer and confirm the serial. Of course, I cannot do that when I am in the store, to check each items and call them. LOL. So do you know other ways how to know it if it is genuine?
The best bet would be to avoid ebay and the like; that's where most of them are floating around. Since you're buying retail, you should be pretty safe, since you can go right back to the store if you discover that it's fake.
From what I've read, there's also the issue of classes; best pick up class 6 or at least class 4. Class 2 will be slow.

Also check the packaging. Check if the fonts are printed alright and not fading or anything.
I have already bought a 4gb sdhc class 6 kingston micro-sd. There is no 8gb available in store so I decided to just go with 4gb and just upgrade when I need it. It was fast and I guest it is not fake(though I'm not sure). Thanks for the advice guys. I hope this will also be helpful for people who are planning to upgrade memory.
As far as I know, Transcend and Sandisk are the brands that are flooding in the market which are fake so I really looked for other brand. Fortunately I found one and it is made in Japan(the fakes are made in China written at the back of this brands) so I'm little confident with the memory I bought. hehe..
ive been using an 8gb card too for awhile now on my elfin. just got my 16gb card last month and havent had a problem yet. everything runs very smoothly.
i have 8GB V-gen and running well until now...
8gb
i´ve used a 8gb sdhc since a month without problems...it runs smoothly...
I bought a 16 gb sandisk sdhc. It didn't even register regardless of what drivers I installed on my phone.

I doubt the Kaiser is compatible with it. I think the highest it can take is 16Gb.
The Kaiser is compatible with the SDHC standard, therefore it should theoretically work with cards of size up to 32 GB. I haven't seen them on the market yet, though.
http://www.mobymemory.com/Phone-memory/HTC/Kaiser-memory-cards.asp
I don't know about getting microsd and such from ebay. Too many knockoffs and fakes.

Hi there, I personally got a 32gb off eBay for my ATT HTC Tilt 2 8925! I have over 30gb of music, videos, and pics... with NO problems what so ever... NOTE: on eBay there are supposedly some FAKE micro SD disks... so I played it safe and bought the one packaged NEW by Verizon Wireless! Good Luck! =o)
On amamzon there is a 32gb verbatim mem card with microusb reader for 90$ /free ship
$150 on Amazon for a class 6.
I think I'll wait a few more months. But wow! In a few years we'll be buying a 512 GB card for that price!
should the card be partitioned to speed up access to data?
