HTC Audio Manager and Today plugin together - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

I use in my Artemis the newly extracted version of HTC Audio Manager: ver. 1.00 (Build 1023.618). This version is installed into a separate folder in Pogram Files, unlike the older one, that goes to Windows folder. Maybe that's why the HTC Music Plug-in cannot find Audio Manager although the plug-in has an option to choose from Media Player and Audio Manager.
So, my questions:
1. Is there a new version of Music Plug-in that would find Audio Manager wherever it is placed? If yes, please, post it!
2. If not, is there a way to "teach" somehow the available plug-in where to find Audio manager? (I searched the Registry but could not find a solution.)
Sorry for posting here although I am a simple user, but I hope this is the forum the real developers read most...
Thanks in advance,
ctibor

I have ActiveSync 4.1 on both of my PCs and I keep getting the error. my Activesync is working fine. I copied the executable file to my 8125 but it can't run/installed like that. any ideas?
thx

hope this helps

Guys, if you don't want to install additional software, you can add your PPC as a device to RealPlayer and sync Real files to play on WM10.
When I try to install it Im getting a message...
Realoneplayerppc is not a valid pocket pc applicatiopn

'cause you're supposed to run that file on your desktop not the phone.
I installed Real player through AS 4.1 with no problems. Great for bbc radio broadcasts.
I got it installed and it wont play the file! Ah well. Do I need to convert it somehow?
On the BBC radio site where is has a link that says listen using stand alone real player, right click and copy that link to your wizard. Clicking on that file should open real player and begin to play your broadcast.
Will it not play videos though? I want it to play my south park vids
RealPlayer Link
Here is the link to download the CAB file so you can install Realplayer on your WM5 device without activesync.
http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=7160593
Copy the file to your Pocket PC and click on it to install.
CAB files within the exe file
If you start to use the realplayer executable file while connected through Activesync but do not complete the install process ie while the install screen is still open go to
START/RUN and type %TMP%
This will open the install directory. Look for a sub dir call ~rmsetup. Within that sub directory you will find the REALPLAYER.CAB file you need. Just copy into your temp directory on wizard and run as usual. It works for both the basic Realplayer and Realplayer with video beta downloadable from their site.
Hope I've explained it clearly enough.
There is also an explanation of how to make the exe file work with activesysnc on the Realplayer forum but I found the above solutions easier.

media player not buffering

I have the same problem. I was able to listen but now it will not buffer anymore and its just stuck. anyone one who can help us out with the issue.
are you using ORB by any chance and having this problem? or is with any streaming audio file?
Have you tried GSPlayer?
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
i am using orb and have this problem is there a fix for it?
What ports do you have forwarded? OR What ports do you have setup in Orb to stream your content? Have you tried over WiFi?
Try this:
[HKLM\System\FileSys]
"TempPath"="\SD-MMC Card\Temp"
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"DownloadCache"="\SD-MMC Card\Temp"
Replace "\SD-MMC Card\Temp" with you own path.
Cheers

Forgive my ignorance , I am a begineer. Do I need to add these lines to the registry?
I used total commander and couldn't see the :
""DownloadCache"="\SD-MMC Card\Temp"
or
""TempPath"="\SD-MMC Card\Temp"
Thanks for your help
PS: Media player was working before I upgraded to 2.17
Cheers
First get PHM regedit (google for it)
And yes you will have to create keys and values yourself.
(hope you know the diff. between a Key and a Value?)
The values are of type string.
"\SD-MMC Card" is my SD/MMC memory card inserted into the device.
Your device can have another name for the card. Replace "\SD-MMC Card" with the directory name of your device.
Hope it helps.

i am not using orb. i am listening to a local radio station with wmplayer. it did play before i added other software. have anyone tried real pplayer? do they work fine?
real player works fine. The problem is that some radio/TV stations support only MS media player
i tried to d/l the real player mobile edition. it keeps telling me ti activesync. you guys have the same problem.
Download the .exe from the website to your desktop
-Double-click on the .exe
]Do not click next, instead go to Start->Run-> and type %TMP% go to the folder ~rn_setup and pull the .cab file out of the directory.
-Copy the .cab to the MDA
-Double click on the .cab file using File Explorer on the MDA and it will install the app

How do I read .au files on a Qtek 9100 ?

Hi,
I'm trying to be able to read a .au file which is NeXT/SUN audio (.AU/.SND) file.
I found no application able to read that kind of audio file
I specify that they are files that I receive directly on my PPC via mail (this a voicemessage receive on my home phone) and that I don't have the possibility of converting them into .wav or .mp3 on a PC.
Does somebody have an idea?
Thanks in advance
Dont know of an app that will play au file on pocket pc. I do know jetaudio player will play it on pc and you should be able to convert it to a format you can play on ppc.
Link here http://www.jetaudio.com/
Try core pocket media player site http://corecodec.org/ they have many plugins for this ppc player but not au i think.
Thanks for the reply, I'm going to test this apps

How to find correct "BlueSoleil" driver or other Bluetooth driver

Hi
Having a problem to get my bluetooth running (see previous posts) the QTEK support answered to install the "Bluesoleil" Bluetooth driver.
On the web site of Bluesoleil it is possible to download an evaluation version but when I install it, it doesn't run.
The installation process seems to be OK, but when I tap on the bottom right Bluetooth Icon I get :
"Impossible to find 'NULL' (or one of its components). Check the path and the file name are corrects and all the libraries are available".
If I try to launch with the shortcut from program screen, nothing happens.
When I use windows file explorer I can see that a new directory has been created in "program files" but empty.
Is it possible to get a correct installation of this product (or another one to manage Bluetooth instead of Microsoft basic one which doesn't run) ?
Thanks
Thanks

Video Player Program for ARM Based Win CE 6.0

Hi,
I use a media player which produced in China in my car. As you guess it has its special GUI for radio, media player, TV etc. Anyway, its video player doesn't support many codecs and i have to convert them using old video codecs. As i read there is a TCPMP video player for windows mobile devices. I just want to be sure that this program is right for my device and i want to download its version which has the largest video codec support. Can you help me?
Regards
Even nobody has an idea?
A TCPMP that flawlessly runs under CE 6 comes with ceFFM, which you find here at xda-developers.!
Sent using TapaTalk2
Thanks for answer...Can you give to me the link of the TCPMP's latest version? And i couldn't find a way to install CAB version of it. Should i try another way to install it?
Regards
I use this

Hi,
I will use this too...But when i try to install it with CAB file it says that it's incompatible with Win CE 6.0 . Is there any simple way to install CAB files to Win CE 6.0?
Regards
If wceload.exe is part of your CE 6.0 then you should be able to instal a CAB packaged for WinCE (not Win Mobile).
Also you were already told which TCPMP to use. I'm wondering why you ignored this.

In fact i have 2 problems. First is which version of TCPMP should i use and second problem was how will i install it ! I tried to install version which @toxas offered but i had error.
So what should i do? How can i use wceload? I saw that some people extract CAB files with some programs (WinCE CAB Manager) and they put files manually. But as i saw TCPMP adds a registry key and i don't know how will i do it manually
What is the easiest way to install TCPMP program to my ARM based media player device?
Regards
AFAIK most popular CAB-extractor is MSCEInf tool. I use it too.
Yes, TCPMP heavily modifies device's registry, but this is done by TCPMP automatically if/when it runs first time, thus you don't have to scare about. You should backup registry's HKCR section before running TCPMP, though.
IMHO your problem indeed is fact you are confusing yourself: simply concentrate on your initial goal, means copy TCPMP to your CE 6.0 unit and run it. As said, use TCPMP version as it comes with ceFFM.

In fact that ceFFM is very attractive for me...But i don't know whether it's completely compatible with my media player which i use at 2011 Opel Astra (It's from your country ) or not. If there will be problem with ceFFM then i don't know how will i come back to original version.
So, as a final, i will extract files of TCPMP CAB file with using MSCEInf tool and i will copy this files to my device then i will execute exe. I can't believe to myself because i ask such questions I work as software developer at a company Last question should i copy this files to any special folder in Win CE file structure?
Regards
In my worklife I was a software developer, too.
You install TCPMP either to unit's internal storage memory device (flash disk) or to unit's external storage memory device (sd-card), you have the option of either, but never install it to \Windows\Program Files or even to root (\).
To clarify things: I only recommended to use TCPMP which is located in ceFFM-X.X.X\program files\players (already unpacked and thus ready for use).
