Simplify Chinese Dopod 838

hi, I'm the new kid on the block and recently have bought a Dopod 838 in China with simplify chinese WM5. Would like to flash it to english and willing to share the rom but need to know how to do it.
Please advise.

Generally, the process for changing ROM's follows two steps. Unlocking and Upgrading the Rom. Find a ROM to your liking on the ftp files in the forum. Download lokiwiz and read up on it to unlock your device for foreign ROM's. Sync device (be prepared for the complete wipe of info) and run the rom upgrade utility. Look in the Wizard Upgrade Forum for more info on the ROM's themselves. Actually, right after you read this, just go to that section anyway. There's a TON more information on this subject that's quite helpful.

Extract 6965 Rom(chinese)to Replace the English drive

I have two 6965, however one is in English and one is in Chinese, I want to ask if I can extract the ceos.nba(or nbf....etc) in chinese one and flash it into the english one.I've read some threads on the site but actually I still don't know wheather I can or cannot do that?
If yes, Please give the details(Steps?Software/drivers needs?)Thanks very much!
OR if anyone have the chinese rom?(I saw someone have an chinese 6965 who want to replace to english, so definitly there have chinese os in 69XX series) and share it to me, alse tell me how to flash it!

i think u can do it, but must be sure that the memory chip type of them are same, exp G3 or G4. then u can use awizard to backup and restore the os rom.
i had do that from spanish to english.
backup the english rom at first is a good idea, for the failed write op
BTW: can u post the chinese nba rom? i had waste a long time to seek it

There is no Chinese rom on the hp sites, but I will try to backup the rom by using awizard suggested by you!!if I can do that, I will send the rom to you of couse! thanks a lot!

German T-mobile phone need to change to English

I live in Germany but have very basic kowledge of the German language. So when I recently received the new Xperia Xi from T-mobile (under contract), I was shocked to find out that I could not change to English language. Both T-Mobile and SE do not want to help. Incredible. I was browsing the internet for some solution and encountered this forum. I saw some threads on the subject, and the solution seems to change some ROM thing (yeah, I have no idea!). However read some desperate messages s.a. phone got jammed etc. Any way got cofused and could not follow. So I have made this new thread JUST FOR GERMAN T-MOBILE. Can some kind member kindly lists down step by step instructions (with files, or links to files) on how the beat the system and change the language from German to English? Thanks help!

Ok....the only solution i know is to wait for an update.....they want to release it this year...if u download the upgrade manager u can select the language for the update maybe u get an english rom if u select that language...

Thanks reply. Yes its in German and want to change it to English. Your solution makes sense but I read somewhere that the English update would not work as the ROM has to be changed to English first. So not sure.

MTK G7 K8181 (Desire dual SIM clone)

Hi guys,
recenlty I purchased this phone the model is copied from the back of the phone if the batery removed. I have managed to take the raw files (wm6.5 WWE) and create the kitchen. My goal is first to translate it and afterwards to cook the ROM and make it better. But after the extract of the files there are many problems translating it because the manual to translation any rom is a little bit confusing anyone interested to participate or help to the development of this ROm is welcome. I have tried to study also chinese and russian sites on the subject but i got more confused. Maybe because I do not know the language.

Just to let you know I have managed to Translate everything. But I want also to cook things up. Is there anay cooked ROM for dual SIM phone? It could be very usefull.
