Small Info:
Himalaya JTAG
First, thanks for the reply.
Yes I have seen the wiki, but if you will read the contents, it doesnt say anything other than, a dead xda is required to find the jtag points. also it described what jtag is, and that it has been found on other ipaq and the other device. But it does not show the jtag points, Not even a picture, of the pcb.. At least not for me, I dont see anything.
Any other leads? Can jtag be accessed by thru cradle connection? I really need to know this info. Thanks
Try to look for information about this topic

Hi everyone: I came another time with a curious problem.
I got a vodafone Spain v1620 (PH20B2) apparently with touchscreen problems only. I got the maainboard and installed it into another BA I have with other problems (that
markanthonypr and + Que ppc knows perfectly ).
I have done all the procedures just to unlock it and know the situation is: with a movistar sim the BA recognize it, gets signal.... but if you make a call the phone hangs up inmediately, and if you call from other phone to the BA the movistar service tells you "this action is not available".
That means the phone cames broken?
I have also to say that I've tried, with the wises advises of Xplode, installing a vodafone rom (but I only got the UK one) and nothing.
Any idea?
I answer myself
After some investigation, I asked the vendor on ebay and he told me he "found it" the BA. I suspect in no well way the kind of finding he did. Even though if he really found it in some place, I think vodafone has lock the phone through blocking the imei. That means I have a wonderful pda with no phone.
Haven't I?
And also means there are people interested in doing business no matter they have to lay.
carred66,
To answer your question, if the device was indeed stolen, then you are 100% correct about your statement of having a great PDA with no phone due to IMEI blocking.
If you bought it off ebay, you should return it to the seller asking for a refund. AFAIK, ebay has rather strict policies on "found" goods.
Having said all that, unless you are contributing with something to the forum (programs, skins, roms, patches, etc.), please refrain from opening new threads. While I understand that your problem was kinda unique and did not seem to have an answer from us, that does not mean that you should open a new thread with your problem.
I know that you are aware of the Q&A section because you have several posts in there, so please keep on using that unless you have something to contribute (then, you can have your own thread )
Thanks.
copy that!
But the seller sold it only telling that it had screen problems.
I think it'll works out of Spain. Thats funny, isn't it?
maybe if you want... to spend money for it...
I mean just for the grace of have a BA working well!
You can make the IMEI Check and pay a little money maybe they can make something for ya...

Hello,
I desperately need some help.
My girlfriend bought a HTC Touch Dual from ebay which was locked to the Orange Network in the UK. I tried to unlock the phone for her so she could use her Vodafone SIM and have made a right mess! I used an eight-step process on one of the threads on this forum and got completley lost.
Firstly, I don't really know what I'm doing, and have no idea what a 'radio', 'rom', etc is. In fact, in reading these forums I realise how out of my depth I am.
Would somebody be able to help me out. Not necesarily with unlocking, but just getting the unit back to working order - i.e. so the cameras work, the sound works, the screen responds to my taps, the wireless card works, etc...
Please remember I know nothing about these machines, so you will need to use VERY simple explanation!!
Thank you in advance,
Gary
Problem Solved

Hi,
I have bricked my phone and now stuck at the T-Mobile Boot logo.
The only solution i saw to restore is JTAG which is a very expensive solution for a one time use.
I am searching for Mobile Repairing Services who offer JTAG restoring for HTC G1 phones.
Thanks,
Chinmay
SOLUTION:
JTAG Repairing is available at Manish Market Details below:
Wonder Gallery
Manish Market, 1st Floor,
Shop Number No.27, Palton Road,
Mumbai 40001
Note: Do not try any other shop, the guy sitting at this shop is really good at this and genuine. Some people at Manish market might remove some parts from the mobile so beware. People from Mumbai must be aware of this.
Cost: Rs.800
Time: 1 Hour
Things to remember once mobile boots:
1. Check Network
2. If Network does not get registered check IMEI number
3. Call and check mic and speaker.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not own this repair shop, would not be able to receive your phone and get it fixed as I no more live in Mumbai. I do not have a contact number for this store, the address has been posted which should help locate the store where I got my phone fixed long back.
Try Heera Panna .

If the phone is truly bricked you can not reflash, that's the definition of a brick.
This thread is regarding the DREAM not KAISER.
Hi,
If my phone does not boot or get into recovery how would I install the Kaiser SPL ?
Instructions say that active sync must be green, which would happen only if the phone boots.
Kaiser is Windows, and mine is an android phone... got confused with the active sync being green as that happens with the Windows Sync Utility :-(
-Chinmay
You can't mate that's the end that is a hard brick. Since you can't get into recovery. Can you get untk bootloader?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App

You can't, they assumed you had an hTC Kaiser for some odd reason, obviously can't install the Kaiser SPL on Dream.
So just to double check, can you boot in to the SPL? Hold camera and power.
i also bricked my htc g1, i have given it for repairing @ manish market,he has asked me to come 2morrow............let see if he does it?

Hey guys,
I also have a bricked G1 in India (Delhi NCR) and cant find anyone to fix it. Ive tried my tried and true repair guy in Karol Bagh and a few other places. Ive resolved to try to unbrick it on my own. Ive tracked down the necessary pieces and am about to purchase the parts.
Links are available on another thread.

Ill let you guys know how it goes.
How much did they charge to fix it the JTAG way?
They have G1 motherboards that are UNLOCKED on ebay for about $30.
Thanks- How Much did he charge ? Where exactly ?
Hey thats a great news...

Chennai, anyone?
anybody know any such repair centers in chennai? I will be visiting chennai in a month and have a couple of hard bricks that can use some unbricking.
And now bricked at kolkata
I have no hopes of finding a JTAG repair solution at Kolkata.. Only if I could courier it to some one at Mumbai and get it repaired and sent back .. Currently looking for G! motherboard for replacement.
Hi
Since India was too far away for me, I found a guy that fixed my bricked "HTC G1" (hard brick , without access to the fastboot menu) in Ecuador (South America).
If anybody in Ecuador has the same problem you can visit his webpage at:
mujerpc (dot) com or you can find him at Mercado Libre Ecuador with the name "HTC Innovation"
He fixed my phone in 2 days. (since his lab is a little bit away from Quito).
He changed the mainboard and returned the phone with an Android ROM installed.
Regards
Martin

First of all I just want to say HI and Merry X-MAS to everyone and also a happy new year , now lets cut to the chase I have asked a few times on the bord how can I solve my problem about not getting signal , now i found in this evening that actually the phone doesn`t register to the network, I was experienced the problem so I boot the android to see if it is a wimo or rom problem, android found the network but couldn`t register just like wimo. Now I found out that it might be a IMEI problem like is blacklisted because it was stolen I also contact the HTC support but no answer yet is there any way to solve this problem ? From my little knowledge I think the phone what i thought it was new to be branded and unlocked before it arrived to me so maybe i can re-unlock it or something ? Also is there a way to find if it was branded or stolen i can provide my sn and imei if it helps ... Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English ..
