cant update nbh

hi guys im new here but been reading a lot over the last month or so. ive got a problem, ive tried searching but i cant flash my nbh file, do i need an update program??

That is a bit vague, what exactly is the matter? When you say you can't flash your nbh file do you mean you have tried to update your rom to the new HTC Official rom? Or are you trying to flash to a custom rom?

i have a cooked rom already installed, but i wanted to update it to a wm 6.5 rom, but the rom came only as a nbh file and no installer, so not sure how to flash it

Either download and use the Blackstone CustomRUU Wrapper or flash from the SD Card (search for instructions or check the wiki).

artemis USPL - improvements

I was asked to patch USPL for ROM size checking when flashing via RUU, so this version does not check size even when flashing via USB. (original SPL skips the size checks only when SD flashing.)
I did this a few days ago, but didn't get around to posting it

how to use it: if you already have a version of artemis USPL installed, simply flash this new version using RUU or from SD (ARTEIMG.NBH on FAT32 formatted SD)
in bootloader (tricolour mode) it should then say version: 1.11.cmon
for instructions on installing any USPL if you have no USPL yet - check out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403 until I have more time/motivation for userfriendly packaging
more plans: if I get time/motivation I might upgrade this to be full HSPL (overwrite protection)

it's the same process.
The difference is that you can flash any rom without size limits.
Before you only could do this with SD Card method.

i have replaced the nbh file of artemis uspl with this one
then started uspl after that once it gets over i started
ruu upgrade utility
thats the way how it is done or something else
during this process no bootloader screen comes

And where is the response to my question? ....

you need to enter the tricolour screen to check version.

does artemis have an issue with vista? tell me what kind of problem please

you have to manually go to bootloader to flash the image

I want to thank you very much for this useful work. However I couldn't try it yet Because at the end of the rom update utility application (I mean %100) it gives a error 270 udate error image file corrupted. Please check your update utility I have tried all these attempts while my phone is at the bootloader mode.

Yes. All other files are the same.. infact you need to because zip does not have start_uspl.exe

hello everyone ....i want to upgrade my o2 orbit wm6 to wm 6.1 or any cooked rom currently i am using wm6 but the problem is my active syncro is not working is there any other to start uspl without acive syncro.....give some suggestions ...thank for ur time...

This by no means can be called "Searching".
You should actually try it sometimes, it might lead to some insights.

I tryed this but no restore the original SPL

you have to flash from your SD card as far as I know

- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

How to take the RUU_signed.nbh file from the official shipped ROM file as most files are in the exe format.

you can extract the .exe using winrar

Sorry to be a dummy but does the shipped ROM package include the original SPL? So I just flash the orig. ROM back thru sd card and that's it? Is it that simple?
And after doing so there won't be any sign of having used HSPL?

correct, but make sure you have the correct stock rom, not just any old official rom.

I'd really appreciate if someone who tested this as working, to downgrade to SPL 1.42 from a higher version one, reported whether it's working (I do hope) or not.
I don't need it for the time being, but it would be nice to know there's a fallback opportunity in case something goes awry...

If you have HardSPL on your phone then flashing a stock rom will overwrite the SPL with the stock one included with the Rom. Tried, Tested, Working.
Taken from my Rom Flashing Guide:
NOTE: The only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from microSD card
* You can also use this method to flash back your Stock Rom and Stock SPL that you originally had on your phone*
- Download a shipped Rom from *HERE*
- Rename the extension to .zip
- open it with winzip and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to a folder
- Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and copy it to the root of a microSD card thats been formatted to FAT32
- Insert your storage card into your phone
- Enter Bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to flash
If you already have a higher Stock SPL than 1.42 on your device then you can flash a stock rom using the goldcard method (if you have a goldcard that is) to downgrade your SPL as long as its not 2 or above.
If you have SPL2 or above then you are stuck and cant downgrade to anything.

That was the meaning of my question... going back to stock 1.42spl form hardspl is not a problem, and I actually asked you this very thing in your flashing for noobs thread maybe a month ago
But I was somehow hoping that you could use the microsd flash method to overwrite a newer stock SPL back to 1.42, and you just crushed my dreams
At least now I know for sure

Why couldnt it start with SH06PN? Its only the serial number its not your model number.

Try flashing your Original Stock Rom via storage card.It must be your providers version or it wont flash.

FLashing stock rom from memory card

I have real problems using the exe files from my pc to flash a rom.
I'm trying to remove the t-mobile pink cirle branding and been advised the only way to do this is flashing an unbranded stock rom.
I have hpsl installed, can anyone advise if this is possible and also whether stock roms are available in LEOIMG.nbh format?

possible. but pls be cautious about stock SPL version.It will overwrite HSPL & make sure it is downgradeable to bepe HSPL. it is better to rip splashscreen only & rebuild LEOIMG.nbh.

You can get rid of the first bootscreen on another way, by just flashing a seperate nbh file (on the same way you can change the radio). Search the 2.09 rom thread in this forum for a way to do this (really simple).

Perfect, thanks, i was worried flashing another .nbh would restrict which rom i could use but sounds like it flashes a different part of the rom

[Q] Can't update RADIO

I downloaded Shipped ROM. I extract it and rename RUU_signed.nbh file into LEOIMG.nbh
After that, i copy the LEOIMG.nbh file into sd card. Restart hd2 by press power off + volumn down and process update
It can't install RADIO and failed by this step(pls see attach file).
Please help me to overcome this matter.

What is the name of the ROM that you tried to flash?
Do you have HSPL? (<has nothing to do with the error, just out of curiosity)
How big is your SD card?

My HD2 model is T8585.
The ROM i used: RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_3.14.479.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
HSPL 2.08
What can i do now?

That should have worked, you might have a borked radio.
Try the flash again, if it fails again try a custom ROM (that does not include a radio) and report back.

By which HD2 version, I meant European or Tmobile one.
Anyway, it doesn't matter now.
Just flash the same ROM using HSPL. (double-click on the_rom.exe)
(Additional Step: If you want to remove HSPL completely, run HSPL4 and select an SPL from the drop down menu)

It is European. I also tried install Radio individually but it failed.

I'm sure my phone is broken down in RADIO. I tried to set up RADIO in some ways:
Download shipped ROM, extract and rename to leoimg.nhb, then copy it to sd card
Download RADIO file indiviually, and set tup, it also error.
You can see the attach file for further details. And give me some guides to overcome this.
