I've been recently having problems with connecting my phone and bluetooth on the computer. Once upon a time I had no problems but the last few days are getting on my nerves, it’s saying that no devices are found. I can send via bluetooth, mobile to mobile no problem but cant on my computer. I hope I am explaining myself properly; any feedback would be greatly appreciated thank you.
trying to connect or trying to bond ?
if the later try rebond
if the former are you init'ing the connection from the pc or the pda
try the other way around

Hey guys,
Ok this sync is really bugging me, first it took me ages to work out why when i plugged it in the connection went green ina ctive sync and said connecting but wasnt working no matter how long i gave it - turns out it was a firewal problem,
but now when i plug in my wizard and the wizard says connecting under active sync but my computer active sync doesnt do anything, i tried switching usbs restarting both PC and Wizard to no avail, i know my PC is seeing somthing there because it says at first (when i plug into new USB port) found device etc etc, but then it installs it as a network connection and trys to aquire an IP/Network address from it!! that doesnt seem right to me!
Any advice would be great
Thanks
Nathan
hmm has anyone with a working active sync noticed if its installed as a network device for you? does the wizard work as a USB - GPRS modem? because that would explain that bit.
Thanks
Hmmm...
I'm gonna guess that no one is responding because you've basically said some things that lead everyone to believe you've not researched your device or problem before starting a new thread about issues that have been covered time and again.
First, by default Windows Mobile 5 (WM5) connects using the Network Connection method. If you want to use the old USB Serial connection your will need to upgrade to an AKU 2.2 or AKU 2.3 Rom.
Second, if you use the search function (see the top center of the screen) you will find numerous threads discussing several issues with ActiveSync.
Newbies are always welcome but you need to at least try to find your answers before just plopping donw a new thread.
Hi,
I did a search, and tried most of the suggestions, but i dont get this AKU2 thing? and couldnt find a deifnition.
but anyway im since broken the phone so thanks anyway guys
Check your vpn option and firewall option. If you using cisco vpn then uncheck "statefull firewall (always on)".
Hello everyone, Ive searched but come across no help
Im using a Cingular 8525 with the 2.06 firmware and windows vista ultimate. I cant get my computer to connect to it for Dial up networking. My phone allows it to use it (its an option on the phone/laptop when pairing) but it does not connect! It keeps giving me errors. I have tried to enable "Bluetooth DUN instead of USB in the internet sharing app, but nothing changes.
Also, how can I get Windows Mobile Device Center to access my phone via bluetooth? Thank you!!!
can anyone offer assistance? thanks
Anyone at all? This is driving me nuts! I even used two different bluetooth drivers in my vista pc...but still nothing. it works via usb, but not bluetooth. Help???
I got Internet connection sharing working via BT PAN with the new ROM and Vista. Never tried to use it as a modem though.

Click to collapse
can you give us your step by step instructions on how to do that?
Id even be ok with getting it to read with a USB cable... After upgrading to WM6, I lost sync support for Vista...
I always take my time before jumping into anything new, On my experience bugs take a while to be sorted out and fixed.
My advice, stick to XP and WM5 for a year at least, then it would be a lot safer to upgrade.
Hi everyone,
First time I post here, so I hope I won't make mistakes...
Few days ago I was looking for sniffing remote connections on my Android-Phone.
I tried the connection to Wifi, but the Man In The Middle didn't work. The ARP Spoof seems disconnect the phone.
I tried the direct connection to the computer with Wireshark. No more success. Android doesn't support Ad-Hoc and I was nearly to crash my rom.
I tried the TCPDump. Doesn't work more. I'm maybe on a rooted phone, but, my skills don't allow me to do this. I pushed the file, but It didn't start.
Anyone can help me ?
I'll retry maybe tomorrow the MITM...
Thanks in advance
I am trying to establish an internet connection from my android (tmo vibrant stock 2.2) to a professional wm6 (tds ranger spectra precision). I am sorry if this was posted some where else but all of my search efforts return either tethering a wm/android device to the pc or switching to/from android/wm devices. I have had this working before using pda net but the wm device had to get sent off for repairs and when it was repaired they did a master reset thus losing all of my settings. This device has a USB (input) and a seperate USB (output). lol... samsung usb drivers for wm6 anybody.... as i create the commection via pda net DUN (dial 123) i keep getting "no modem at above number". I have reinstalled pda net a number of times and established the bluetooth connection before and after starting pda net. I have also initiated the connection from both devices pari wm>vibrant & vibrant>wm. Any help would be graetly appreciated. If there is any thing I have missed please remind me as I dont have a lot of time right now I will be checking in via mobile today and will be updating this post with better info this weekend. thank you for your time and efforts in advance.
Hello everyone, and thank you for reading.
I've had an issue since I've bought this phone and after looking around and trying a few different things I now turn to you for help as my last resort.
The problem is that the phone keeps disconnecting from the internet. I don't use a data plan so i only use the internet and all the related apps when i am connected to a WiFi network (Home or other). But what happens is that I'm connected one minute and sending and receiving messages on Facebook messenger or even whatsapp and the next minute it just drops the connection. I have to actually go into wireless settings every time and hit connect for it to reconnect, and it keeps doing this over and over.
I figured that maybe if i got the updates (following this technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rEt6wPZDnA) for it that would fix it, but apparently it didn't do anything. I currently have windows 7.8 installed successfully with all the other updates that were found.
If there's anything you could do to help me i would greatly appreciate it.
Cheers!
