Wizard Unlocking - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305225
I am trying to follow this tutorial but the links for the button rom and lokiwiz dont work can anyone link me one that works?
Thanks

read the 'read first' sticky in the wizard upgrading forum, everything is in there

That would be great advice if those links worked. But they don't work for me. Actually the problem I am having is identical to wind_sun's post in March. I will just copy and paste as I dont know if I could word it better. And it goes a lil something like this:
Dr. P:
I have been doing the unlocking SIM and CID for several rounds and no luck so far. So I am thinking that I would put up a message here for helps from you and others. Here is the related info:
tmobile USA MDA
IPL /SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.26.10.2
I downloaded CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE and extracted into a folder and start the downgrade process by double click ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID since it is G3 with 2.XX ROM.
The verify screen reads:
From:
Model ID: WIZARD
Image Version: 1.2.0.0
Language: ENGLISH
To:
Model ID: Prodigy
Image version:
Language: WWE
Everything goes smooth until I get to 98% done. The tool complained:
ERROR[302]: UPDATE ERROR (My situation is different in the computer goes to 100% then states it has to close for some problem. It prompts me to send or don't send to Microsoft. The phone remains at 98%)
and ask me to recover by disconnecting usb cable and taking out battery, which I did.
After I put back battery, the MDA screen comes back with 3 color bootloader display. The screen still show IPL/SPL 2.26 version at this time. I did see USB on the left bottom of the screen when I reconnect USB cable.
Then follow the instruction to rerun the ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID on PC.
It errored out at the 98% AGAIN and shows me the SAME error messages.
Repeat the process and it always errored out at the same point with the same error message.
Of course I was able to rescue my MDA by reflashing it with the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM with no problem.
But I still want to downgrade so that I can unlock and upgrade. There was no reply to this thread by wind_sun. A lil help? Thanks in advance.

I just checked this thread and all the links work
are you saying that you can't flash the button rom?

BBOBECKYJ,
Exactly. Exactly as stated above. I am having the same problem wind_sun had. Hangs at 98%. Thanks again.

I've not read the thread - i didn't need to, I followed the instructions exactly and it worked
I'm confused about what you're saying, firstly that the links to the roms didn't work, (so i gave you those links). Now it seems you are saying that the roms won't flash yet you also say you still can't download those same roms
i believe the guide i linked (not the one you were using) is foolproof, and if you follow each step exactly you can't go wrong.
also if you're having problems, you should post in that thread and not create a new thread - as it is monitored by the thread creator who may be able to help you.

so what was the response to that problem? (if any) does that not solve yours?

First, I apologize. I do not post often. The result is my forum etiquette is poor. This thread belonged to someone else. Initially, I was backing them up in stating that the first reply to this thread was incorrect and was not valid at the time of the posting. I knew this as I had tried those same links in the past 24 hours. My mistake was stating my problem in this thread in the same post obviously. That was poor mannered in hindsight. Second, being that I do not post to forums often I forget how excruciatingly detailed a post or thread has to be. Everyone is not always on my frequency. Even so, with matters of the technical sort, people probe and ask questions. In the future, I will try to do better.

LOL i didn't notice that the third post - yours - was not the same person as post one, that explains my confusion
however, as he/she didn't post back again (yet) i assume that the link in my first post works, so try that if you have not yet done so

BBOBECKYJ,
I was only agreeing with THESCREENSAVERS about the ANTC thread. I took it light that if two people found the links to be broken ANTC might look into it. I was not clear in separating that from my own issue or that it was ANTC's advice/tutorial my initial post referenced. You are correct. I was stating ANTC's links did not work. Another great tutorial(minus links). I OBTAINED THE ROMS LAST NIGHT. After navigating through our excellent forums, for 24 hours I found the links for the tools mentioned in ANTC's thread in DR. PUTTINGHAM'S thread that you suggested. Thank you for that. I should have done that initially for THESCREENSAVERS instead of switching to my own frustrating issue. I tried to kill two birds(issues) with one sloppy hand grenade(post). Selfish me. What a mess it is that I have to apologize and clean up the mess I made with 3 more posts(and counting). Now my friend, I am so glad that DR. PUTTINGHAM'S tutorial worked well for you. The wording in your last post makes me less than a fool though or a fool that has proven DR. PUTTINGHAM'S post to not be foolproof. The ROMS DO NOT FLASH FOR ME. I have gone wrong. And wind_sun too. Which, by search is wind_sun's only post...nearly two months ago. But since we are here now. Again, I still want to downgrade so that I can unlock and upgrade. There was no reply to this thread by wind_sun. A lil help? Thanks in advance. CAN ANYONE HELP?
P.S. How did you follow the instructions if you did not read the thread?
No avatar, no gif's, no kewl one-liner...I'm so lame....

To answer your last question first, I used Faria's unlocking guide first. Dr P simplified and explained in more detail the same things in his thread. I read only the first post of the Dr P thread when I got stuck with the Faria one.
I am not aware that anyone would be unable to flash the button rom, (which is not to say it couldn't happen) and just to be very clear, you are using this guide?
Dr P thread is stickied, for amongst other reasons - I think he monitors it and helps anyone with questions. (ANTC is probably busy cooking another wm6 rom atm LOL)
ps try to break up your posts, it is hard reading very long blocks of text (and harder to reply to question within it)
pps don't apologize for posting - that's what forums exist for. it is annoying when it is obvious that someone has not read anything and then expects everything done for them, but you did read and had a go

I'd just like to add my 2 cents here if you don't mind
@ Babyexp
Have you tried downloading Button ROM again as it might be corrupted even though the download completed successfully? That's why some sites like Linux distros ftp have a file with the result of a checksum (SHA1,MD5,CRC32,etc...) so that users know the file isn't corrupted
The other option is to use another PC to see if the RUU crashes same way
cheers

Awesome posts. I feel like I got something accomplished. Then, I didn't. I'm back to WM5. Wish I could lift my chin a little like you guys with WM6....
Are you telling me about reading? I always seem to have the quirks/problems noone else has. I've been browsing the forums for the better part of two days! I'm squinting so much now I look Chinese! LOL. Thanks again. Can I get a link Mestrini?

hi guys
I'll be quick - as babyexp says, we're not trying to hijack teh thread, but having multiple people with the same issue in one thread, then if someone comes to resolution, is a good thing, imo.
I've been also trying to upgrade an htc wizard to wm6. I've re-downloaded the latest files for button 1.05 (from rapidshare) and lokiwiz, and have been following ANTC's guide. In step 3, he says run button, and let it complete, but when I run it, it also progresses up to 98% on the Wizard and my laptop, then pauses. After 3-4 minutes, the laptop updates to 99%, leaving the Wizard at 98% (red progress bar on the wizard), and stops again. I've left it for about 30 minutes at this point, but now on my 4th try at flashing, it hasn't completed once yet.
After removing the battery, and restarting to the colorbanded screen, I've been able to reapply the tmobile rom (RUU_TMobile_US_226102_22610105_022511_WWE_Ship) to get the phone active again. However, attempting to put button on brings me to up to this 98% hang behavior
I've tried installing the wm6 rom directly on top of the tmobile one, which completes, but on restart, prompts for screen calibratrion, does customization, then is still running wm5 after the restart - even teh start/calibration screens look to be wm5. Strange behavior - my hermes upgraded with no issues, compared to this. Should I perhaps run lokiwiz first before button, and ensure that I run both a U(unlock) and C(Supercid unlock) ?
any pointers appreciated.

yep, use the original unlocking guide, ANTCs is simplified i think. I linked it in my first post in this thread

ok thanks bbobeckyj - I'll give that a try on monday when i'm back in the office.
btw, "if at first you dont' succeed, try try again" isn't the best plan for these phones . I kept trying to reflash mine, and after about a dozen attempts, the battery died, and that was the end of that. ohh, i thought i had a brick there, as it wouldnt' charge via usb cable (i don't think).
I left it over night on a wall charger, and when i checked this am again, it was back to the colored bar screen, and I was able to put the tmobile base rom back on it. whew!
dwight.

Easy solution to ALLLL of these problems.
go to IMEI-CHECK .. pay the 40 dollars to unlock ur phone.. Update to WM6.. Easy.. Stop being cheap.

Stuck on a Garbled Splash Screen

As a new O2 xda exec user, I thought I should play safe and upgrade to latest ROM etc on the O2 web site. After a couple of false starts and after checking the excellent wiki advice, I got the thing to run through and complete the upgrade.
But on doing the final hard reset, I find myself with a completely garbled screen instead of the O2 splash screen. After a couple of seconds the 3 lines of text appear on the screen (the R, G and D numbers) but against the background 'snow' I can't read them. No response to keyboard or to 'random' pressing the screen. The screen eventually turns off after a few minutes but when switched back on remains with the same garbled screen as before.
Tried going through the whole process again but sadly got the same result.
Tried going into bootloader and doing a soft reset (as advised one of the many upgrade problem threads I've checked) but that also took me to the same garbled screen.
Can anyone help me out with this? I can't find anything quite like this on the Wiki or in any recent threads.
Should I try an alternative ROM? Stupid question, but is a Jasjar ROM OK on an O2 exec?
Hi - just thought I'd save people any wasted effort. This problem is now sorted.
It seems the O2 web site had linked to an out of date ROM which I downloaded and installed in blissful ignorance. Went back to the web site and found the link is now updated and gives the correct ROM version. This loaded and started up with no problems.
In case anyone reads this - although I didn't get any direct responses from the community I would still like to say a big thanks cos the Wiki and the responses to other threads are a real help. You guys have put a lot of effort into this and created a resource which is invaluable.
Top bananas!
lol...well i guess me and u were in the same boat my dude...i def did exactly da same thing u did..jus a new user getting the update and fu**ed my ish up...thanx 4 posting this tho it was some help*goes to download new update*
I cant even sync with my pc anymore i dont know wat to do
I'm no expert - as the screw up above amply demonstrates - but the failure to sync was one of the rage inducing steps I went thru too. Sometimes the PC would recognise the xda but other times it wouldn't. In my case, it was sorted by reading in another part of the forum how to get into bootloader mode by pressing the light and on/off button at the same time as using the stylus to press the soft reset. This should take you into boot loader - an apparently dead screen but if you look closely you should see 'Serial' at the top and 'v0.xx' at the bottom.
If you reconnect by USB cable to your PC the 'Serial' should change to 'USB' and in my case I was able to run the software on my PC to update the ROM.
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but hope this works for you. Otherwise check out the Wiki section (wiki.xda-developers.com) which has lots of good tips.
i fixed it i had jus installed a new rom

My wizard won't boot up....

my wizard won't boot
My wizard isn't going past the WM6 splash screeen, it gets stuck on it. I've tried soft and hard reseting a number of times as well as removing and reinserting the battery but nothing helps...
I recently flashed it with Blackdiamond 2.0 and have been using it without a single problem for the last 2 weeks or so.
Last thing I did on it last night was to use the 'Advanced Settings' in the settings menu and checked the options to make the scroll bars thinner and the scroll buttons smaller, it asked for a soft reset but since I was using it at the moment I clicked no and continued using it eventually powering it off and went to bed.
Now when I turned it on this morning it just won't go beyond the blackdiamond splash screen (pic attached)
I can't flash the rom again since activesync can't establish a connection with it(doesn't recognize that its attached with the pc, probably because the ROM never loads). I really don't know what to do... any help would be greatly appreciated
thanx
Check XDA-Wiki (top of this page) for troubleshooting guide under Wizard section
I'm not sure what is wrong with it, but it started because...I was trying to turn the bluetooth on and it wouldn't let me, so I did a soft reset, and what happens is it will just go to the loading screen for windows and stay there forever! I don't understand what happened . I've tried to reset a couple more times but it won't work...and also the power button on top doesn't work anymore.
Can anyone help me?
problem solved thanks
I just can't understand why people find more comfort in asking a question than doing a simple search and find the answer by himself. It's less time consuming and you feel a bit proud that you solved your problem on your own.
I think we should make a sticky with things like this :
"My wizard won't boot !"
"Which is the best rom ?"
"Will WM6 work on my device ? and where to find it ?"
All questions above have been asked hundreds of times, perhaps more and are still asked by almost every new guy that just registered.
how did you resolve your problem? I don't see troubleshooting anywhere...unless I"m very blind or maybe dumb.

You got 2 choices :
- flash a new rom (put it into bootloader and connect it to the PC then flash)
- hard reset

Have I Got A Very Expensive Brick?

Hi Guys/Gals,
I'm VERY new to all of this, as far as I was concerned, FLASHING was a bloke in a dirty mackintosh!
I do hope that I'm posting this in the right section (like I said I'm new to all this)
I have (had) an O2 XDA Exec, it had WM5 on it, and my (idiot) boyfriend decided that I should have WM6. I trusted him to do this (I know, I'm too trusting too ). During the installation, using active sync, Vista decided that it knew better and everything went kapput!
I'm sorry that I can't desribe it in your techie speak.
All I have now is a blank screen, and when I plug it in to charge the red light comes on.
ANY and all help would be VERY VERY much appreciated.... and if I may, could I ask that any help is described to me as if you were talking to a 10 year old?
Many, many thanks.

Hope Not
Check and read the WIKI for Universal and am pretty sure you can find some answer in there. I nearly bricked my Exec once but every information i needed is in the WIKI. By the way is there anything on the screen? Have you tried doing a hard reset?
Where to start?
Thanks Sandi76,
There is nothing on the screen at all, I've tried doing a soft reset and a hard reset and still nothing.
I'm looking at Wiki now, but I honestly don't know where to start. It must be the blonde (natural of course ) in me!
So, if someone could just help me to get started, it would be appreciated.
....and my boyfriend will be very happy about not having to sleep in the shed!
Thanks again,
MissG

PS. I'm not going to let him touch my phones EVER again!
There is hope!

Hi,
I think the first big problem is Vista. I've heard that Vista is not friendly to the ROM updating process. I may be wrong and somebody may have solved this but I would suggest that you get hold of a computer with XP in it to try to restart the updating process.
Second, can you put the phone in bootloader state? (press the two option buttons and reset hole at the same time) If so, you can flash your ROM again. I know, i know, to press the three at the same time you need a bit of help...maybe your bf can help with this...
Never again!
Thanks so much Wovens,
I've tried the reset to factory settings and pressed the 0 key, and it just says Clearing..., goes off and then nothing happens.
(I must have very long fingers because I can do it myself, and my b/f needs never come near my phone EVER again!)
I'll have to search about for someone with XP. I think that all my friends use Vista???
Do you think that finding an XP machine is my first step?
Thanks guys... I REALLY do appreciate your help you know?

Hi again,
if you only have Vista, read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=292631 it may help.
Again, I would do it with XP. It may be that something got partially flashed when b/f tried, so, factory settings will not work because they are not there any more. You will need to flash again. There is also, if I remember correctly, a way of flashing via SD card that bypasses the computer process. But you would need the phone fully charged or till battery light shows green as you don't have anything showing on screen right now.

Wovens

IF there's a will there's a way...
Although i had flashed my ROM under Vista i am not going to recommend it because of the hassle of reinstalling the old driver for your exec, and the process is just a pain but it's worth it once you've done it. Try XP. But if it will not work check and read the whole wiki of Universal and am sure the answer you are looking for will be there. By the way can you go on the bootloader mode? perhaps you can try the mtty utility under 'How to upgrade your ROM' in the Universal WIKI.
Hi MissG, I recently resurrected my old Exec and had the same problem (trusting Vista Ultimate), I thought I had bricked the Exec but then read the wiki and found this:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_Stuck_Bootloader
I know you think the screen is blank but look very very closely and hopefully you will see that it is in fact showing the v. as in the screenshot, if so then follow this and praise be to Xda Developers - good luck

OMG! You're right. I actually did read that on wiki yesterday and tried it, but couldn't see anything.
So I just gave it another go (just in case) and it is there. Incredibly faint and small I can't read what it says, but I can see that there is some writing there.
So, all is not lost then?
I've had no luck finding an XP machine yet though, so I may have to resort to partitioning my machine here (which I don't really want to do... knowing my luck recently, I'll also have to join several other forums to fix my PC!)

A HUGE thank you to OLYMPIA786 for going above and beyond the call of duty!
I'm a very happy little girl now and my b/f doesn't have to sleep in the shed any more
It was a real pleasure.
Out of pure idle curiosity - what was the actual issue in the end?
nothing big, same old vista compatibility problem, i flashed it with XP and it gone through the very first time.
Olympia786 did my Exec as well - a stunning job!! There are times I hate Vista and this was one of them!
I have got vista ultimate on dvd but never installed on my laptop.don't want to take risk with my universal.I didn't like the vista to be very honest, too complicated and not user friendly.happy with XP.

SD Card slot.

Problem just started on my Uni.
SD card will no longer stay in. I can hear the little click (though it doesn't sound as positive as it did) as it goes in, but it doesn't stay there - just springs out.
Anyone ever experienced this before?
Better still, anyone have a fix?
The Uni is useless to me without it.
Thanks.

Maybe you already done this: Have you tried with another sd card?
Still same?
If yes try to see inside to confirm that nothing is broken at simple view
I´m sure someone will come with a wiser sollution
Good luck,

Hi - thanks for the reply. I've found replies are few and far between sometimes..
Yes, I've tried other cards. This latest one (the one I *think* may have broken it) is a legitimate 8GB card bought from a reputable high street store. A waste of damn time anyway because the Uni will only see 4GB of it, depsite doing something to make it see more not long ago (I forget what it was). I Googled the expansion slot problem and found a quick-fix. Add a layer or two of Scotch tape. The card becomes thicker and 'stays' in the slot. It works very well, but it's not my ideal long-term fix.
All that said, my brand new Universal arrived this morning (£60 GBP would you believe..) so I guess now I'll be reading up on how to flash the ROM.
I haven't flashed firmware on a Windows handset since my HTC Canary 7 years ago..

Well hope you can solve the issue!
Good to hear that you have a new Uni!!
May I know where you´ve got that great deal? and if possible I would like to buy one!
For flashing instructions read here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_ROM_Upgrade
And personally I recommend you Tomal v.8.5 the fastes and stable 6.1!
Good luck!
Hi again.
It was a UK eBay "Buy It Now" offer.
I was browsing Uni/Exec/SPV etc and refreshing waiting for a particular auction to end when this one just popped up with charger, new battery, leather case and 3 x stylus. It looks/smells brand new. Incredibly lucky I know.
Thanks for the advice on the ROM. I'm just reading through where/how/why and whatnot now. I have a G3 device so I think I can just go ahead and flash.
But as I say, I'm reaqding through the Wiki and the threads. I have seen others mention Tomal's ROM. I'm looking for as Vanilla as possible. This unit for me will ideally run TCMP as best as it can and Vijay's FullScreen along with terminal services. Everything else is a very distinct second priority. I have a Wizard I use for TomTom and a Nokia N95 for an everyday phone. This just needs to be a media player and a remote access unit for my desktop machine. Apart from a file explorer, I could pretty much do without everything else.
Thanks again.
Orb, that Wiki entry needs updating somewhat. There's loads of issues not covered there. The Tomal is a single installer and presumably doesn't need the programs mentioned (though it briefly mentions that at the end). There should be a distinction made there. Some ROM's need these programs, some are single installers, if so ... ... ... ... etc. Not some half-assed brief mention with no other instructions. I presume I just double click the installer in Bootloader and leave it to it???
It says I need to CID/EROM unlock but fails to explain what these are?! More searching shows that it's extended ROM and SIM lock that need removing. What point is there using acronyms for a supposed 'newbie' tutorial..
My unit won't run the EROM program complaining of needing a new NET framework.
This isn't mentioned. Not that you may get this error, what it is, or what you need to do if you do.
The SIM unlock won't run either. Once my unit is in bootloader mode and showing 'serial' I plug in the USB lead and it shows 'USB'. I run the SIM unlocker and it eventually says 'this is not for your device'. More searching and I find I need to be using XP to do this, not Windows 7 or Vista.
Searching about I see loads of people with similar problems. If the Wiki was updated, then when people pointed users to it, then it would do it's job (which is presumably to help people and prevent the forum being full of questions, which it obviously is..).
Looks like I need to get onto an XP machine and do some serious searching through the sometimes 50 page long threads before I risk bricking my Uni.
I'm more than happy to do research if that's what I need to do, but what's the point in promoting a Wiki if you have to ignore half of what it says and find out for yourself anyway?
Not a rant at you by the way. Just a post made from observations.
Cheers.
Hi kryogenik!
I completely agree with you. My Uni came to me from uk with WM6.0, so I supposed it was unlocked and I made various flashes with no fear.
With a friend of mine Uni things were different: it had a stock WM5 and I tried reading wiki to get some answers, but the only thing I obtained was confusion.
I'm really not a newbie on computer systems, and I assure that the wiki has to be freshed out!
Turning back to the wm5 uni, I simply ran the executable from Tomal (8.2) and everything worked fine. So... what is really needed to?
@orb3000: when a newbie comes here asking for instruction on how to flash you always make a ctrl+c ctrl+v with wiki link... Why don't you try reading it with "newbie's eyes"? As kryogenik said, I won't attack you, it's just my thought...
Cheers...

Yeah, as dear Admin said "Wiki is a strange place"
Why not try to post this request on the proper place on general section
"request to mods by users"
I think that will be the place to have an answer

Exactly. There are some very odd ideas about what a tutorial is.
I'm hardly a newbie myself, but when there's something so valuable at risk it obviously makes sense for things to be right? Why bother otherwise.

Well, I've got the extended ROM showing. I can understand that needing to be done - perhaps the new ROM needs it writable. I can't for the life of me imagine why the unit needs to be SIM unlocked though?? I have seen posts from people who have SIM unlocked AFTER a ROM flash so I'm thinking perhaps this isn't the case?
Did you do either of these? Or maybe your unit was already in this state?

Thanks Orb. But it's not a request. I have a feeling it wouldn't be acted upon anyway. I can't be the first to point out inconsistencies.
I run a website and Vbulletin forum too. The day I have to rely on someone else to tell me it's not right is the day I give it up.
It sounds like I'm bashing XDAD. I'm really not. It's been a lifeline for me numerous times (the forum I must stress, not the WIKI).
I'm just surprised that such a fantastic resource is being let down by the one thing it should be proud of.

I also was a newbie sometime, and I found that if everybody gives me easyly all my questions and problems I will not learn never! and I will get used to demand that people has to give me the answer right away!
So no my friend, I understand is not an attack and I´m also friendly:
But said that I´ll push newbies to do it by themselves, even if it´s a little bit more difficult
At the end they as me wil apreciate it, because we learn to SEARCH and READ
lol.
Cute idea but there's a big difference between encouraging someone to help themselves and pointing them to articles that do the exact opposite to what they're supposed to do (i.e. confuse rather than assist).
Everyone needs to start somewhere, but you NEED to have at least some correct and up to date information to send you on your way.
You wouldn't give someone a manual for a 1972 Ford and tell them to read it so they can fix their 2009 model.
Anyway, that's my opinion on it. I hope one day someone has time to add missing bits to the Wiki. I appreciate it could be a major task. As I said, essentially this will save on hundreds of people posting the same problems over and over again and people getting sick of replying to the same posts over and over again.
It's simple common sense.
OUT
Agree mate
I´ll try to find out how we can update the Wiki
Have a good day

Noticed Something Strange.. Hard Buttons Have Lights?

Okay, I'm not sure what has happened. I picked up my HD2 last week, I had WinMo running until I got home from the store LOL. After trying the different builds I settled on Darkstone FROYO for obvious reasons to me. Ran it ever since, until today, I decided to give a different radio a try due to the fact that large file downloads ie Google Sky Map would fail and I read that a different radio may help. After flashing the radio I went from the Chucky ROM to RC4.7 BLACK TMOUS VR ROM. All went well. Backed up my SD CARD DATA and reformated it to FAT32 32KB, copy my backup back on the SD and loaded dual boot.
Booted right up into Android and right away i see my hard keys are lit up. To be honest I didn't know they even were lighted. LOL.
Anybody else notice this?
They are not working in any build as of now. Are you sure that when you booted into Android from WM, these buttons were not lit up.
If they were, they gonna be lit up all the time (even if you lock the device). If that is the case, would suggest you to reboot it to windows and boot into android only when the buttons are not lit up.
They are on... but yes you are correct. they are on all the time. Even when I lock or when the device goes to sleep.
You booted it from WM with them on, wait til they turn off before booting android
I noticed something else too... I still had the boot screen from the Chucky ROM even after the flash to the VR ROM. So I just reflashed to AxLor DF1 Xlite and that is taken care of. my lights are now off yet again.
wasted thread this has been talked about 1000 times over find another way to get your post up
they shouldnt be lit up lol

i agree... but maybe that how "he's" getting his post count up... lol
anyways, this has happened to me a couple times and i agree with earhog, wait till they are off in WM before u run HARET. this way they'll be off when you boot android and wont drain your battery as quickly...
rlee
Damn... I have always searched the forum for answers and advice prior to posting any questions... hence my post count. I did do a search and all I could pull up was posts about them not working. This was more of observation than a question that I thought was strange.
Nothing more.

exactly my point since this android port hit all we get are people posting things that are not helpful ...how is this helping any one , so what u are telling me is we need to help him figure out why his button lights are staying on ..the is a effin emulator ....how about i go post a thread ..."my android market is working"....wtf is that going to do for any one when there a 15 threads saying the same thing find one of thse thread to "CONTRIBUTE" to ...
Every post should be from a Developer or Chef?? The point of the post was... hey this is what is happening, has it happened to anyone else? How did you fix it? Ideas?
The EXACT point of this forum. If you you knew the answer and it was nothing that intrigued you... why did you open the post? Lol. Anyway, it has been answered, issue solved.

and you do have a point but the forum has rules and there specific rules for this whole hd2 android forum , thats why when you see people like me saying this stuff we never just put the answer its because would you tell your child the answer all the time no because we all know he really wont learn anything...which is the real reason for this site

I am using my first post just for you. You sir, are an ass and need to go elswhere with your "higher-than-mighty" attitude. Since none of the roms are finalized, this is an acceptable topic for this section. OP even stated later on, all he found was posts for the buttons NOT working. And it is apparent that he was asking if anyone else has ran into this issue. For all we know, there may be an issue the the ROM he has loaded that is causing the buttons to stay on like that.
So heed your own advise and stop padding YOUR post count.
noticed something like that too. the button lights are on SOMETIMES. I can say for sure, I didnt start haret with the lights on, but at some point the lights went on during running android (and stayed on). I think an incoming call triggered it, but I'm not sure.
