Quick time player is the only one ive found that can. my question is does anyone know of a codex that win media 10 can download to play your recorded video files from the xda. or is there another software version you can download it to and edit it: like windows movie maker!! the microsoft download centre does'nt have anything to fix this problem. any help would be appreciated.
XDX2???!!!!what is it...a new device from O2....hahahaha  ...kidding..
In WMP 10.1 wich is installed in Magneto or WM2005,u can view mp4 files...
I have Magneto on my device and I can view mp4 files using WMP but I never do!!!I use Betaplayer or the new Version of it named TCPMP,it's a freeware and the best player in the world,it's got everything u can never find in Media Player, try it by urself...u'll never regret it...

Hey
Does anyone know what codecs I need to play videos recorded with the TyTN camera on WMP on a PC?
I'm running Vista RC1 with WMP 11 but I had problems on XP anyway.
I currently have X Codec Pack installed, which contains XVid and DivX.
Cheers
Quicktime should play them back no problem?!
but what about playing quicktime files on the tytn?... pictpocket does not work... it fails to start... i have wm6 dutty v.2...
Can anyone pls help me here, i got my htc diamond but cant play 3gp files ? ?
Core Player plays most formats including 3GP - TCMP
Thanx! Have you got a link for me ?
Many thanx!
why not do a search for TCMP -
If you would have used the search option you wud hve gotten it by now anyway here is the direct link fer ya
TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.CAB.zip
Sounds very strange cause my Diamond plays 3GP with no problem with the built in player, also Mp4 (h.264) plays fine.

Click to collapse
Thanx! appreciate it!
you can't play 3gp !
3GP/MP4 PLAY ON HTC DIAMOND BY DEFAULT ....ONLY REASON TO NOT PLAY 3GP FILES WOULD BE A CODEC OR SYSTEM ERROR IN YOUR PHONE ....I EXPECT YOU USED SOME KIND OF FILE ASSOSCIATION TOOL (RESCO 2008) WHICH HAS CAUSED THE ERROR DUE TO WINDOWS NOT KNOWING WHAT APP IT SHOULD USE TO PLAY THE FILE...ANYWAY...REFORMAT YOUR DEVICE
( CLEAR DEVICE STORAGE) TO RETAIN NORMAL SERVICE IS ALL I CAN SUGGEST...USING TCMP WILL NOT CORRECT YOUR SYSTEM ERROR MY FREIND.
ok guys n gals, I've got some training cbt's that I'm trying to watch on my HD. I can get the sound no problem but I can't get the video to play.
I can watch these on the PC no problem running on WMP v11.
Now so far I've tried to view them on the HTC player, WMP CDivx Player, TCPMP and Coreplayer all do the same. Sound no video.
The only difference is with the Coreplayer throws an error video codec (wmv 9 screen) not supported by the player.
I've tried using the MP4ForHD found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478050
to convert these but that software shows video: no video
So I'm now totally confused and being totally thick here , can anyone help or point me in the right direction
cheers
You can try re encoding using "Pocket DivX Encoder" or "Lathe". But it is strange that it works on your computers windows media player and not the mobile.
Which version of the Coreplayer do you have?
Hi
im trying to play some video files (divx, xvid) on my touch diamond
ive tried core player but i only get audio and no picture,
do i need to install codecs or something?
I'm sure there are better answers but I gave up on the built in one and got tcpmp. Its free because its discontinued but it plays my files in general.
