I have an 8525, with the latest ROM. No matter what notification sound I select, the sound won't play most of the time when I receive a new e-mail. It will sound occasionally, and I haven't noticed any pattern to this behavior. It will vibrate when a new e-mail is received, if I have the entire phone on vibrate.
Any ideas as to why this is happening, or how to fix it?

Hi,
today I noticed while PocketAlarm tried to wake me, i.e. made it's alarm sound, a call didn't ring, but instead the caller was immediately routed to my mailbox. Could that be? Would be a bit annoying, I'd still prefer to get a call through instead of having an alarm ring Could that have to do with Sound already playing, so the phone couldn't play it's sound? Back to "single-task" days then?

Hi,
When receiving a new emial, i set my phone to play a notification. Most of the time it does not work, it is really intermittent. I make sure to check the volume is turned up when receiving an email and not hearing a sound.
The rest of the notifications (incoming calls, text messages, voicemail ect) are working fine.
I have a similar issue that when my phone is set to vibrate, despite me having a vibrate notifcation for new email my phone doesn't do anything. If I get a text message it vibrates fine, but I have to visually check the phone for email when I have my phone in discrete mode.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? I'm using the Wizard Love ROM (2.26 AKU 2.3), but I got it on my original O2 2.21 ROM and Faria's WM6 ROM..
Does anyone else have this problem?
I have my Wing set up to flash the orange light for 15 minutes when I receive a text message, or until I dismiss the notification of course.
When I'm listening to music using my Motorola S9 bluetooth stereo headphones and I receive a text message, the orange light flashes; however, when I read the message or dismiss the notification the light continues to flash until I turn off the headphones. This is annoying, because for some reason on my phone TCPMP needs to be shut down and restarted if I power off the headphones.
Any suggestions (besides setting the notification not to flash)?
When I receive texts on my LG Quantum, the phone will not vibrate or make the SMS alert tone sound...
When I am called, however, the phone vibrates and plays the ringtone as normal.
This has only happened in the last day. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue??
Never mind, fixed it.
The issue had to do with the registry. I changed the default SMS tone to play the Xbox Live Achievement sound via registry, and when I took the battery out, it reset to "none" in the settings.
Just changed it and it works again.
Hi, I thought Sidelight would do the trick, and it works great, EXCEPT for the fact that it only alerts once and then stops. Often I'm out of the work vehicle and I won't see that notification alert and will end up not knowing anything came through.
Is there an alternative option for this phone that will simply give a recurring visual alert on the screen for calls and texts that I've missed?
