Someone please confirm or help, do you have same problem?
In camera setting page - advanced - adjust (Like you want to adjust your contrast, hue, brightness, saturation for your camera) I can't setdown the value (Default is 3, I can't set it to 2 or 1) if my today screen is set to potrait. But in landscape (Right or left handed) i can decrease the value.
Any one have same problem, or any fix?
Thanks.

i'm sorry but i don't have that issue with my dopod. i tried it out by setting the default to portrait. from there i activated the cam and went to the settings. i could bring it down to 1.
cheers
Thanks for your reply. Anyway can you tell me what is your ROM version? Because i did confirmation to dopod indonesia, and they said all of they DOPOD U1000 have same problem.

I don't have this issue too, and it's actually the first time i heard this as well. I doubt the confirmation they made is true, since non of the other DOPOD ROM has this issue. Anyway, my ROM Version is 1.24.709.3 EXT: 1.24.709.105
I have the same problem with my U1000.
Portrait mode, settings can only be increased to +4 and +5, but not decreased back down again.
Landscape mode, everything is fine and working. I can decrease as well as increase the levels.
My ROM version is 1.24.707.3
Ext ROM 1.24.707.104
It looks like they have fixed this in the later ROM release as shown by wu's results.
Yes they fix on ROM ver: 1.24.709.3
But on my free pack i got ROM upgrade CD but htis only upgrade my Ext ROM to: 1.24.707.105, only add My connect.
Thanks everyone !!!!

My conclution it's ROM 1.24.707.3 problem's. But I can't find any 1.24.709.3 ROM version in member's dopod home page.
Some help maybe?
Are you guys and gals able to zoom in and out with your camera. Mine does not seem to be able to do so. On the left side of the camera screen, there is a vertical bar which I think is for zooming, but it does not respond to clicking or dragging. Do you have the same problem?
zoom only works if you not use 3Mpix resolution.because it's digital zoom not optical zoom. Maybe some one can hack if zoom will work on 3Mpix but your pict will so pixelated, look bad (Like you using your DigiCam and us digital zoom.). And your zoom avaibility will increase if you use lower pixel.
I think it work like that.

1.24.707.3 and 709.3 make no difference, it's for different country, Taiwan has 709. What's inside the ROM should be exactly the same.

Hi,
This is seems to be the last version of our magic tool - Screen Rotation Service (or SRS). It includes Second Edition's Today Theme (menu & today scrollers support in landscape) and feature to automatically resize your today screen for Landscape Theme!
(Download it here: setup.armv4.exe)
During installation you will need to answer "Yes" to this message:
Code:
The file"\Windows\ace_ddi.dll" is hidden, read-only, or a system file. Would you like to replace the existing file?
After installation you need to go to: [Start menu] - [Settings] - [Today] and select "WMSE" theme from the list
And one more, minimize (X) your programs before switching
Thanx to abc and everyone here!
Re: SRS HE = Halloween Edition
Feel free to post your feedback/questions on this version of SRS to this thread
More recommendations that i remember about SRS:
1) Do not soft-reset your device when in landscape-mode
2) Minimize (X) your programs when switching between different modes
To install SRS-HE:
1] Download SRS-HE to your PC
2] Run it to get "setup.armv4.cab"
3] Copy this file to your PDA
4] Tap on it to install SRS-HE
5] Soft-reset your device
6] Go to [Start Menu] -> [Settings] -> [Today]
7] Select "Wmse" Theme from the list
8] Use [Start Menu]->[Settings]->[SRS] to switch the modes

No it is installable on any Himalaya device with any combinations of ROM, radio and ExtROMs
If it doesn't run at your specific system, you can always uninstall it without any damage. It really worth to try!
Yeah, I have ROM 1.60 (latest O2 UK rom) and it didn't work very well at all. Half the OS had problems, including the camera (even v2.5), the Today screen and many of the Control Panel applets.
I've seen reports on this site of people having fewer problems with ROM 1.66, but I don't think anybody has claimed that they've got it working with ROM 1.60 without problems.
Still, I'm hoping O2 UK are going to release 1.72 tomorrow!

Where did you get such ROM version? And why you are not moving to 1.72? It doesn't really matter who the supplier of the ExtRom is (imate, qtec, tmob...) it is a matter of OS rom content. So, just update your device and receive a set of 1.72 advantages (faster BT binding, greater performance, no good CT and so on)

But now it's very important to have phone app, calc app, WMP and cam app setted to run in landscape mode.

I got the update from my service provider: O2 in the UK. It's the latest version available, at the moment. I don't need all the hassle of messing about with ROMs from other countries and providers. I'll wait until the next ROM is released by O2 for me. (Tomorrow.)

Hey,
I've installed it on my HTC Advantage X7510 with WM6.! Professional, and I can confirm that it works.
When I'm in the today screen and I turn the PDA it does turn in Landscape and Portrait mode with no problem great at last it works.
Thanks for the link if anybody what's me to try anything please let me known.
Thanks
Gigino
I am happy for you gigino, but I am in the same boat as palmchen (have a X7500 with t-mobile WM6 ROM).
Perhaps the interface to the sensor is slightly different between WM6 and 6.1
I am sure it can't be that difficult to access it from WM6. Hopefully the developer will be able to implement it or give some clue which will assist some brainbox from this community in hacking this version to get working with WM6. In my eyes this is one of those killer apps.
I tried this on wm6.1, and had the same error message.
IMO the answer is simple: it works using HTC VUEFLO .dll. X7510 has those dll, x7500 doesn't!
In AP4 or AP5 it will work

only because we can't get it working!
Sorry guys, we doesn´t have these devices for testing.
We just was surprised about the info, our tool is working on HTC Advantage X7510.
Also we not know the reason why it is not working on HTC Advantage X7500.
Possible reasons:
- missing/different software driver
- different ROM/ACU version
- missing needed hardware
As i said, we cannot test because of missing hardware.

Not because of that. It was working all right.
I hated this auto rotate thing because 9 out of times the rotate happens against my wish, and it slows my device.
After the initial few minutes of novelty, I was already wanting to switch it off.

No, I don't, there are SOME dll, you can find it in the AP4 / AP5 ROM. I agree, the rotation is too slow and the screen rotation is useless and time consuming 90% of time. My brain is much faster in image rotation and my finger is slower than brain but acts only when needed

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the chefs could put the HTC Footprints into their roms?
I've noticed it that Footprint is only available on the newest HTC Cruise.
Altough most chefs uses the ROMS from Diamond2 (now) which doesn't have Footprints, do you think it would be possible to implement it into D2 Rom?
PS: i'm not sure to put it into the ROM dev-section, sorry if it's in the wrong section.

Hi all,
i'm new in Xperia world and this forum has been very helpfull for me...
I got manila TFL3D installed on my X1.
I tried to install footprint (not very clever, actually) without HD camera installed.
That does not work at all but the problem is not here : i've lost the text in a menu when i open a picture in TFL3D : the options/actions menu at bottom right is empty.
It opens the menu, i can click an action but i can't see the text ! (hard to select an anction without reading anything...)
I uninstalled footprint but it did not come back.... (and yes i've soft reset)
What can I do ? Except uninstall/reinstall manila ?
Thanks,
(sorry for my english i'm French...)

You referring to this? Nothing seems to happen after I tap on 'Menu > New' though. Did a soft reset, copied the HtcCameraUtility.dll to my Windows folder and checked my registry settings, and even tried installing gtrab's R3A CAMERA but still doesn't work. Something else I missed out? Or does it only work on Touch-IT? Btw, I'm on stock R3A.

yup. i've only tried it on roms with a htc camera built in, so I've no idea if it will work with stock and a cab.
using that cab, you dont need to copy htccamerautility as a working one is included, but it would be best to install the htc camera first..
what you can check is that the camera.exe in windows is not the SE one.. The SE is a dummy file to trigger CameraRunner.exe
[edit]
I've just reread what you posted... the R3a camera WILL NOT work, it needs HTC CAMERA..

Is it just any HTC camera? Or only those for Rhodium/Topaz? And if convenient, could you point me to where I could find it? Tried searching but couldn't seem to find any for Rhodium/Topaz.
By the way, I saw you mention in another thread that you use both the SE and HTC camera. You mean that's possible?
Edit: Found 2 versions of the Topaz camera, but after installing, got the error message below when I tried running the 'HTC Camera' program that appeared:
'The file 'Camera' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file.'
Edit2: Btw, I did try installing the rhodium MHub.cab and also checked the 3 registry entries but still no use.
And by the way, I suppose the Rhodium camera not working is also why I can't launch the camera from the Photos and Videos tab in TF3D (using Daran's TF3DB3).

Thanks for your answer.
I got a stock rom for the moment. Maybe i'll change it in a few weeks, with everything working ! (hopfully)
The reason the HTC camera doesn't work is that it needs lots of support files, It's just easier to use one cooked into a rom..
If you really want core stuff from HTC devices to work on the X1 then use a cooked rom.. It's simpler, more efficient and you know it'll work...

Can I assume that you used a cooked ROM (so as to have the HTC camera) and then separately installed the SE camera?
Anyway I've been contemplating switching to a cooked ROM for a while .Just worried that switching back to stock (for servicing purposes) would not be possible. Btw, can I assume Footprints will work on Touch-IT?

Ya. Saw your post about Footprints in your ROM. And uh, ya, I did kind of see a mention of restoring to stock ROM, just that still had some things I still wasn't too sure about it (like what 'stock radio' is and where to get it). But guess I'd probably just give it a try.
Hi,
After you press the icon it autofocusses and then the screen dims white and then you can hear the click. The photo is ok.
If I do this in panoramic mode it seems ok.
Anyone ever had this issue or a fix?

Yep, that's how it works! Think this started from the camera software port from the Topaz or Rhodium devices so I assume you have a custom rom?

Hi PiLoT, you saved my ... nightrest.
Checked out the forum but guess my keywords did not make it.
I wonder why they changed that since it makes it look .. weird and uncomfortable.
IMHO its slighlty fast autofocus
well i seem to get faster autofocus anyway
Yeah, I always felt the new camera software was faster when taking snaps. Not to bothered about the white screen personally.
Hi all,
The Dutch version of the 1.66 ROM has just been released and I would like to know what are the main differences between 1.48 and 1.66. Is it worth to upgrade and install everything again (a hell of a job).
Tnaks in advance, Kuzibri
I think the best thing for you would be reading through this forum... There are at least 10 threads that handle your "issue".
I know, I have done that for most of them, but I'm, of course, mainly interested in the findings of members that already used the leaked Dutch version. There seems to be differences in ROMS between countries.
The biggest changes are:
* SMS Bug fixed
* Lock Screen works now
* Proximity Sensor seems to work all the time now
* Device runs smoother
at least for me
thanks for your kind and fast reply.
The dutch version is out :O Thanks for telling, vriend
I would like to know if 1.66 is worth it or not as well. Talking about the Dutch version. Also a noob question: all your installed programs (games, tweaks, etc) will be gone right? Everything that is on your SD card will not get removed I assume? And will all programs work normal or do we have to wait for all the programs to get updated to roon on 1.66?
Would appriciate the help! Kind regards.
Games, Tweaks, etc will be deleted! SD is untouched..
Most/all of the programs work! There is an issue with the battery % indicator but theres already a fix for it!
Before you upgrade, backup your contacts, calender and other important stuff ( notes or whatever)

Thank you very much for this information. Will have to search for that battrty % fix because I use a custom notifications bar (the default one is ugly imo) which includes a nice 1% battery indicator.
So overall, it is good to go 1:66. Just going to have to start over after upgrading. Maybe a good thing so I can get rid of all the junk I dont use: a general cleening process

There you go
1.66 seems to hang more if you still revert to the old SMS GUI...

you're absolutely right by that. But the link is here:
http://www.htc.com/nl/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=2
A bit weird though that this ROM update is not present on the general HD2 support site (where you normally can find all updates for the HD2), but that it is placed(you would almost say: is hidden) in the ROM update category.
Thanks... works like a charm!

same for me!
It doesn't run as smooth like in the old version, lags many times
maybe a radio change would help?
Which Radio would be better on this Stock rom? Does it hurt the device software?

Hello,
Should I flash the 1.66 ROM to my HD2 (romania)?
The official web download said that the update does not apply to my serial no.
I experience hang-outs especially after ending a telephone conversation.
Please help.
