Hi im new here and this is my first post.
When i first tried to upload songs into my library from the Storage card, it worked fine, but now im not having the same luck.
After i begin to update my library it detects all the mp3 on the storage card but then when its adding them to the library it stops about half way and just lags for about a minute or 2. Then when it says done, the mp3 have not been uploaded at all. I've tried several times but with the same results.
It seems like the only way i can play the mp3's from the storage device in windows media player is my individually selecting the files and playing them one at time
Is there someway to fix this problem?
Is there another mp3 player that can be added to the TYTN?
Is there another way to play mp3's from your storage device without adding them to your library?
Thanks!

This is a standard WM5 problem.
Find MSmetadata folder on storage card - DELETE it (need file explorer set to show all files - hidden files)
Should find it works better now. Reconstruct library.
If still stuck see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284271&highlight=msmetadata
or search using MSMETADATA
Mike
That worked perfectly and resolved my problem
Thanks alot.
Im havin a problem with windows media player on m 8525. everytime i try 2 open it, a message comes up and says An unexpected error occurred and i cant get 2 my music. Can someone help me fix dis problem?
can someone help me?
i have this same issue.
also, i synced a movie to the storage card. when i try playing it on windows media player it plays for a few seconds before giving me an error about Not Enough Memory
Hi
I currently have that problem, i cant create any playlists.
the only why i can listen to media is either through file explorer or oin media player - menu - library - menu - open file.........then finding the music on the card.
hope it helps temporarily.

delete msmetadata, wmdrm and wmpinfo.xml from storage card
Don't delete the wmpinfo.xml file, this is just the file that allows media player on your desktop/laptop to identify the device (SD Card) with all the settings from your last sync.
If you do delete it then you will have to set up a new partnership in media player. Not terrible but avoidable.
Hi all,
This may be a dumb question but as a "newbe" to he HD can someone tell me the correct method and or directory structure required when copying music files to the storage card? I tried puting them in Music/"album name"/ but my HD did not find them. I followed the manual and used actisync and WM11 but it still did not work. Have done a hard reset as after trying these two methods the original two songs did not show either. Any help would be appreciated.
You need to add the Music Tracks to the Windows Media Library - once you've copied the files across onto the Memory Card (it really doesn't matter on the Directory Structure) go into Windows Media - it normally takes you straight to the Library - then from the Menu select "Update Library ..." and wait a while.
Many thanks
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the quick response, I new it had to be something simple.
Adding Music to TF3D music player.
Hi there,
I was struggeling with the same thing.
Remove; Application Data\HTC\HTC Album\AudioManager_Eng\'Audiomanager_Eng.vol' and softreset.
If you can't remove this file softreset first and try again.
After the file is removed and a softreset is done TF3D will add your music automatically to the library when you scroll to the today music player.
It is music/artist/album.
You might want to get a small piece of software on your PC to check the music ID tags. I had alot of problems to start with and found that deleting the album no and comments gave no problems.
You dont have to use active sync through WMP11. You can simply use the explore on active sync to find your music folder and then drag and drop.
To delete audiomanager.exe you will have to disable touchflo.
I'm having the same problem with the TouchFlow3D media player. However I don't seem to have the folder structure you mention. I have ...
"Application Data\HTC\HTC Album" but there's no "AudioManager_Eng" folder. My "AudioManager_Eng" folder is located at "Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng" and in there I DO NOT have "Audiomanager_Eng.vol".
Any other suggestions?
Thank you,
Mike
1. if you add a lot of music files it will take a long time for your HD to find them. a very long time!
2. to test, start with 1 or 2 albums in mp3 format
3. take care that each of the mp3 files to have the same album name on the Id Tag
4. on your card you can have any structure. i use something similar to my PC: music/artist/album
5. you can add a picture (artwork) within the respective folder for each album and it will be displayed on the tf3d player (the name should be folder.jpg for each picture)
if you respect these steps for sure it will work. you can also use s2p and the albums pictures will look very cool when you wil slide them
good luck!
Any update on this? Mine doesn't work..
Help!
I don't know what's wrong with my HTC Diamond. I got the Sprint version. It was working fine until a few days ago. Everytime a play a song on the TF3D player, it plays the songs, but then it stops the songs halfway thru, and then it wont continue playing unless I restart the whole song. I tried doing the Hard reset, soft reset, follow the steps above and it still does the same thing. On the WM player, they work fine, but not on the TF3D player. Pls help
Ok, I've had my HD since feb and always found the touchflo3d music player a little buggy but after getting a couple of problems which i put down to having over 700 tracks in my music folder, I decided to delete all of my music, delete the wmdrms folder and started from scratch. I only put about 50 tracks on and when i go to the music player it searches for some time and says no music found. i tried updating the library in the windows media player app but although this states that it has found hundreds of music files the app crashes while searching. every time i go to look at the library from the TF3D music player, all the info is for the music I had before I deleted it all from the card!?
Any ideas peeps?
Sorted!
deleted the HTC audio manager files and rebooted.
Hey felas
To start with, I'm a fresh virgin in WM and just bought the Leo, flashed the ROM with 1.48.405.2 WWE and it's all a dream except ..
I go to the music player tab, play a song and in 5 to 20 seconds the song just stops playing. It doesnt pause it, just halts and when i hit the "play" button twice it plays from the start. Unusable..
I am using an 8GB SD, tried formatting it twice ( through win7 and WM ), tried uploading the songs via Media Player and by just copying them into the folder. Its all the same. Soft reseted the thing a gazzilion times and it still doesnt like me.
I searched trough the forum but didnt stumble upon anyone with a similar issue.
I give up. help?
Thanks in advance
That's frustrating. What's the format of your music files? And what's the bitrate? How do you have organized your music files. In seperate folders or in one large folder?
Just curious.
BTW, does this problem occurs constantly. I mean, if you leave your phone alone for a couple of hours and try to play the same music file then, does the same problem occur again, or is it just after an update of your music library.
appelflap this problem has been noticed by others. You might want to check out this thread which documents several solutions.
Slow Music player
try to erase the Music maps inthe sd card and create a new one,put music inthis first, more less like 200 tracks and start again the player,if this work put more music
Thank you for the assistance guys The problem were the mp3's I guess.. or the dumb HTC developer that coded the Media Player. Anyhow, I reckon i might like this forum after all.
Happy holidays
The solution ?
Hi. I experienced the same problem with my music player. I noticed that EVERYTIME I connect my LEO with a computer, whether or not I add new music files, the music player would just "stuck", find no music files, display the message "No music found" when I turn it to landscape.
Found the answer on another forum. Actually, "our" music player is unable to read some MP3 ID3 TAG... It seems to be only reliable with ID3 version 2.4 UTF-8 type tags. So what you should do is "simply" convert all mp3 files on your storage card to the appropriate ID3 format. It's not very long since you don't have to recompress the audio files! You can use mp3Tag to apply change to all your mp3s at once. More info in this threat => http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=42474
One definitive solution would be to convert ID3 tags of all your music collection! It would take quite some time... unless somebody find the way to fix this with a magic cab?
This just adds to the very long list of issues of this "wonderful" piece of technology. Thanks who?
