Yi folks,
Somhow my telephone numbers don't format ok anymore. I droped my Magican on a conreate floor and it instantly resetted to defaults.
After putting a backup back i can't get my number formating okay.
if try to dial 1234 i get 1(234)567-89 No matter what language setting i choose.. realy strange.
I would like to have NO formating just the numbers. 12346789
Maybe sombody knows how i could edit this in my registry or fix this.

by language settings do you mean regional settings which is the setting responsible for number, date formatting.
Use attached program before something like that happens again.
And use it every week ;O)
Only for Wm2003se and lower.
The scheduling and battery monitor is disabled (dll´s missing)

Yes thats the option i tryed to use.. but it din't do a thing.. somehow its disabled by my hard-reset-restore-spdbackup

Thanks for the aplication. I am not sure how this would fix my number formating ? I use SPD backup to create a backup at 4.00am. But my backups seem to contain the number formating error also.
OK. The disadvantage of automated daily backup.
Do you have smartdial installed?
Do you see this format in your contacts also?
Goto options in contacts menu tools and check these settings.
For smartdial I don´t use it (to bulky) . I use a customized version of
celedial.
Also check your hkcu\controlpanel\phone\features dword.
Mine is hex: 4DFD8 but that is not standard.

Just recently I detected that I do not receive any calendar notifications any more, which is really annoying. Device wakes up but no sound at all. Browsed some threads on this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1035667#post1035667) but only advise I found is to hard reset - which I do not want. I checked the registry instead and found some questioning entrys.
Could anybody USING PHONEALARM (www.pocketmax.net) on a Prophet or any other WM5 device please post some of his registry entries here?

To me either pocket clock or PHONEALARM caused the same problem.
I went back to a sprite back-up point from before installing both applications. Then my reminders and alarms worked again.
I have not tried to reinstall either of them.

I didn't manipulate the registry, I just put the user name and introduce the serial number.

Yes I did the same. And after more than two months I ran into the mentioned problem. And now I want to manipulate the registry but need to compare the mentioned values with mine. There is nothing critical about registry values and your would pretty much help me providing your info.

BTW, I had the exact same thing happen to me with my Magician, and had to hard-reset to get notifications back. I've only just been game enough to load pA on my newish Prophet and so far it is working OK. I am running pA Lite v.1.56.1 (Build 80).

many thanks. Unfortunatly it looks the same on my phrophet - but without getting notified. I am using pA 1.31 - no idea whether this will generate other registry entries than pA lite 1.56.1. On my my WM2003 device with pA 1.31 installed the registry looks different, in reminders I have:
* Default = "Erinnerungen"

Have found a solution using alarmToday, also a pocketmax product. Look my post on their support page:

No need for a hard reset!!!!! Hope this helps other users, for me phoneAlarm is one of the best tools I have on my PPC and to deinstall it would be of great disadvantage.

I used Freeware Task Manager from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280104 to fix this. Run it, go to notifications tab, select "delete duplicate" and reboot. All working nicely now.

Few moths ago I've edited a Trinity's ROM (AX3L v3.1.2.c) to speedup and boost my device...anyway I've left the "cooking" when my device jump to floor and become broken...
So, I have noticed that many people try to make their own ROM to boost their device (and adding some personalizations)....but making a ROM is difficult (not to much..) and need too time....

Umm, the fact that this is automatic and not manual
second cab just sets 3.5 as default .net...
same thing you may set by using netcfcfg.cpl
will be trying it right away.

You can make those changes manually, so you can even restore the default setting.
Key: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/.NETCompactFramework
Dword:
2.0.7045.00 -> Set to 0
3.5.7283.00 -> Set to 1
To revert the changes restore the original values.

Tried it on my Polaris running udK's Syrius rom with Manilla 2D.
- All today items are gone (also Manilla 2D) except time/date which is the only item left in the list of selectable today plugins
- 3G keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. The white "connection" dialog keeps poping up and is totally annoying.
The one fix I was after was about allowing custom certificates on PEAP auth for WiFi (we use that at work). Could you isolate that fix and give my a hint (registry etc)?

same here... and it wont let me un instal... pleeeeease fix this. i need my today screen back. i troed re instaling them and rebooting but there gone... my advice.

Try this cab guys...he had the \hklm\software\microsoft\today\items\ key with the today plugins from his own device included in the cab for some strange reason. This will definately fix the 'today items' problems...but other problems...you'll have to ask him
EDIT: If you installed his original cab...it probably screwed your today items settings which 'i dont think/know' how it can be restored...hard reset I guess?
And THANKS ALOT AX3L for an AMAZING set of tweaks...I can edit cabs so I can sift through and extract the tweaks I want...but for the average user who can't and wants to just install the cab...you need to do some work to fix up your CAB and make sure every tweak is compatible with 'most' devices

God....these are "few settings"....go to Setting -> Today -> Item and re-enable your plugins....
So, I've tested on Trinity and ELF using so many ROM version, and I never looked "3G keeps disconnecting etc..."

Hello, Is there a mode to hide the Sim contacts from contacts list?
I try with HDTweaks and skTools but after reset or turn off the device the sim contacts turn on again.

For me HDTweak works just fine, and the SIM contacts stay hidden. You will have to wait for a longer time before soft-resetting the device, probably.

I think it doesn't matter if you have changed the registry it should get stored. But, to be honest, I haven't pulled out my battery yet.

Try out MY (FU johnpatcher) KaiserSimFix listed in my signature. It works after soft-reset.
You don't need a mod, just open your contact list and look for an option called VIEW. Choose which lists you want to view and close.

I tryed this and it didn't work, instead i used another cab which did work called rhilhashidesim , i think anyway. i got so many cabs on here i cant really tell.

There's no technology difference between KaiserSimFix and the rhilh... since the same registry entry is edited.
Would be nice if somebody could definitely state if KaiserSimFix didn't work by checking the registry entry after soft-reset.
USING NORMAL ROM ,
sim contacts will get reset to VIEW after soft boot

I wanted to know how can i fix this bug. i own a HTC TD2 and when using touchpal(i really like this program) for new sms, when i type a part of contact name in TO: field it doesnt show any list of contacts starting with characters that i had inputed.but HTC keyboard works well.i had the same issue in WM 6.1 as well as in WM6.5.
pleassseeee helpp me guys.any solutions?
I don't know of a fix but you can select "add recipient" from the menu.

mine doesn't have this issue. on sms to: field i just type the name and it shows those contacts contain this name for me to select. mine is td2 original 6.5 rom from htc, hong kong english version, touchpal 3.5
I used to see this in selecting weather cities but I figured out it was because it would put a space in after the word, therefore not finding the city that was proceeded by a comma.
Unfortunately not the case in SMS contacts.

+1 for issue in v4.00.. interestingly it works fine in the contacts list - so if you select names that way it's ok

I was wondering if there is a way to print or send to an excel file the list of calls made or received?
Another thing, is there a way to control the time of ONLY calls that you've made? If I go to the calls counting (in Portuguese "Contadores de Chamadas") I have the registry of ALL calls made and received. I can't control the time that I've spent where I've started the call (that can be very useful if you have minutes to spend), I only know the time spent on the phone.

I'm using this program now for some years, and it works perfectly on almost all WM versions !
I started with WM2003 and now on my Mega with WM6.5 it still works perfectly !
My present version is 2.0.1.

As far as I remember, it was necessary to make a softreset on this program after installation.
Otherwise it's depending on your user interface, what you need to do.
For sure you can find the program either in the directory "programs" or a localized name e.g.
in german "Programme"
and a link in the following directory "windows/autostart".
If its not there, you need to make a link to there.

Please elucidate me
First I install the Phone.Dashboard.Minute.Tracker, then when I need to use it I have to change from TouchFlo to Phone Dashboard?
But if I use the TouchFlo the program is working and registering all, right? To see it I only need to turn TouchFlo off, right? Or I can no longer use TouchFlo?
Don't exist another program to control the time used in calls that don't need all this? I think is something so simple compared to other things that WM can do...

I don't like or dislike touchLFO... I don't know or ever used something else to know if it's better or worst. I had a Nokia 1100 and I've bought this phone with touchFLO... To me is OK since it works.
Do you think there exist better than touchFLO? Give me some links that I can look

Ok, I've downloades festinger (v.3.1.2) and tried it.
Good but not so good...
The registration is month by month. If I charge my phone on day 10 or 15, or more than once each month I can't get the info I need.
It should let me choose the period to show.
Historia became Free!

Touch2 Has it's timer for calls too .... Start =>> Settings =>> System =>> Device Information =>> Call Duration ... Outgoing and Incomming ... i think this is what u're lookin for ?
