Hi,
I researched this quite extensively but no real solution yet.
I have Kaiser and I recently bought Audi Q7. Kaiser works fairly OK over Bluetooth (Jetware installed). I can see and import contacts - not a very elegant process since the name and surname get joined up and all the numbers, which belong to any one contacts are shown separately (with /M, /W etc.) and I have to do a lot of work manually to sort everything out after import. But I can live with that.
However, I would like to integrate my Kaiser into the phone prep located underneath the central armrest (I believe it is universal so I can put on any cradle supplied by Audi - it just seems from the list of supported devices that Audi sells no cradle compatible with Kaiser or any PDA phone), so it would use the power supply and antenna in the car.
Can anyone help me in any way?
So, no solution anyone? I've been searching for days now and it seems that the only practical thing would be to buy a cradle for another phone and then convert it somehow for use with Kaiser... Not a very elegant solution though...

You can use Bluetooth rSAP adaptator for this connection: it is Audi ref. 8P0 051 440 for the A4 (2008);and it looks identical connection...
You may also have standard hand free bluetooth by the MMI (but this don't use external car reception), I can use the phone contacts also this way in A4...
Hi,
I have a HTC Touch 3G:
The phone is recognised (the name), it seems to pair ok (had to put in a 16-digit PIN), but then the car (Passat 2008) kit cannot connect to the phone for some reason.
Is there any solution for this subject?
Regards,
SpiderXman
I believe, you have to turn on the rSAP-Profile in the BT section of your Jade.
The VW vehicles have a BT-Unit, that only works with mobiles, that have the rSAP (remote SIM Access-Profile) enabled.
You know, how to enable it ?
Start-->Settings--> Bluetooth --> SIM Access
Hope this helps.
Greetings from Cologne,
Arniebirdy
Thanks for your help,
However I have done this procedure without success.

Hi/ I have the same problem with BMW X5 2004. paring is OK, but it dosn't work. it looks like connect and then disconnect (on phone screen headset icon appear and disappear). SIM access anable but no sucses
With touch 3452 it was not a problem. HTC support team told me that it is a conflict with BT kit on BMW. Now I see not only.... What to do???????
For most of the things discused here no one has paid.
For the things people have paided for go to the garage, i know i would!

You know you can, but how to resolve this issue ???? I think any payment can't, can it?
Hi,
using Jade's BT SAP with BMW 3 series (E91).
Works like a charm, except one issue: names in BMW phonebook appear sorted by first name.
In Jade its sorted - as it should be - by last names.
No solution found until now.
Anybody an idea?
Thanks
@ConsultantR
Try this for older BT Kits: http://www.jetwaremobile.com/

Hi there,
I have a similar problem with my Volvo S40 2009. My Jade and the car connects each other but every 15-30 seconds the connection cuts off. It is very annoying while talking to someone, just in the middle of the conversation the radio starts to run again, since Jade loses connection to the car.
Is this some kind of configuration or setup issue? Any help?
I had this on / off problem too.
It was a fault in the phonebook contacts (some signs are obviouly not allowed in this bluetooth stuff (e.g. / or ")
So i moved all contacts to a folder, that wasn´t synchronised and that worked fine. Afterwards i added this removed contacts back step by step and was able to identify the problematic ones.
The easy way instead is to set up the phonebook to SIM only and copy the most used contacts to the SIM

Thanks for the hint Quirlsen. Is it only the Name and Surname lines, which I have to correct? Otherwise it would be impossible, since I also have the Windows Live(Msn Messenger) contacts in the Contact List.
By the way is there a way to remove those Msn Messenger Contacts from the phonebook? They just popped up after I logged in once to Windows Live.
To be honest, i don´t know.
I´ve exported my whole contact list to csv, cleand it up with Control+H and imported it back (i had to add all picvtures afterwards
Your Win Live prob you could solve by defining different phonebooks for sync with phone and other stuff.
Hi everybody,
is there any news using the Mercedes Bluetooth SAP cradle with the HTC Touch HD?
Comand will detect the Phone, but then won't trigger the authentication dialog on the phone but instead gives up immediately.
Thanks
Frank
The version using remote SIM access will not work, you have to replace it with the Hands Free Profile adaptor Mercedes Part No:B6787 5877, which works fine but doesn't use the antenna and amp built into the car, it uses the phone's own antenna so connection is not as reliable. Has been working OK for me though.
SAP compatibility
Yeh, I would of thought a high profile phone like the HD would support this.
I have had to settle for the far inferior HFP with poor connectivity and reception.
I don't think it is rocket science, but perhaps less of a priority for our wizards at XDA.
Would welcome any suggestions besides changing my phone or my car.
I'm using the MB Bluetooth cradle adaptor in an '07 ML. Pairs up and works great for answering and dialing out but there is no access to the HD phonebook or previously dialed numbers. Sad as the wifes iPhone is 100% compatible.

I have exactly the same problem, just added a new post on this!
I find that once you flash a rom you can have full functionality but when you add any extra programs you cannot view the address book or the recent calls.Very frustrating.
It would be awesome if someone stumbled upon a tweak that would correct the problem. I'll try some bluetooth setting changes in montecristoff's HD tweak and report back if I have any success.
I am using the VW Passats Sim Access Profile and this works perfectly. Make sure that the SAP is activated under the bluetooth settings on the phone..
I also cannot sync the adress book, but had the same problem with my old Touch. Guess this is a WinMob problem. A workaround is to use the SIM Manager and copy your contacts on your SIM card as well, they won't show up in the contact list anyhow. Then have the car sync with the SIM card and all is ok...

Thanks,I've tried that, unfortunately it still does not work.Considering this state of the art equipment, its very sad that there is still no solution after many years(given that I am sure this is possible with a little effort by the people in the know how).Mercedes have screwed this up big-style..again
Actually, I'm not sure its MB's fault. Like I said the wifes iPhone is 100% compatible and so was her Motorola razr before that. To me this points the finger at WM.

Actually it's Mercedez's fault. MB is known by the lack of support for BT connection on their cars...
My father has a CLS, and by default only supports a handful of mobile phones. He has a SE k800i and the CLS wont go with that phone. And there's a official list, from MB, with only a few phones that work with the builtin BT on the CLS.
On the other hand his phone works like a charm, like my HD, on my BMW S1. This also includes full support on BT SAP.
Shame to MB
Note: I don't know if these issues have changed lately, ie more support to more BT phones from MB on their cars. Maybe now MB has more support on this.
I've got a jvc headunit which is pairing nicely and auto connecting with my hd, one main issue though it it doesn't seem to be sending through the id3 tags, anyone managed to get these sent through from htc touchflo 3d?
i`m having the same problem! using the HTC Touch Pro with Mercedes Bluetooth HFP Cradle on E Class. Everything works perfect, except the thing, that i can`t see my contacts on the Command!
Any suggestions, please
N95 and SAP
I have a Nokia N95 8gb and I'm thinking of buying the Mercedes bluetooth SAP-profile for my CLK. I was a bit surprised though when I read on www.viseeo.se (in Sweden) that the SAP-profile does not import the contacts from the phone memory, only the SIM-memory.
Anybody using N95 with the MB SAP that can confirm this?
I prefer original MB products of course.
Thanks!
I can confirm that the N95 8GB works with the SAP module but you do have to copy your contacts onto the SIM.
Rapidly starting to regret getting a new Sony X1...
Are there any news about this problem?
I cannot connect the htc touch hd with the BT craddle from my mercedes glk (partnbr: A2048200535).
I had no problems with accessing the phonebook (POL and SIM) with the HFP Module on my 2005 C-Class (Comand) and my Orbit. The 2009 C-Class uses a different system so I cant say anything about the HD. BUT, I had good success (in the former car) with this little software when it came to the sync of bigger contact lists: JetWare Mobile http://www.jetwaremobile.com/
Lets you choose what contacts you want to sync. Perhaps it helps you with your problem, too.

I can connect the HD2 to my new MINI with bluetooth carkit fine via headset profile.
However, the phonebook does not sync with the car.
Ir worked fine with the HD with the Microsoft bluetooth-stack.
Is there any solution for that?

No, that does not help.
With this app you can only send contacts and so on to another device.
But here, everytime you connect the device via bluetooth with the car, the car should read the contacts from the phone.
That worked without problems with the microsoft-stack.
I am having a similar issue, paired phone with Mercedes HFP and first time contacts came across. Next time back in the car and it reconnects, the contact memory is empty? Can still make and receive calls but no contacts. If I re-pair the phone by resetting HFP in car then contacts come across? Software issue on phone or car kit driver issue? Previously had HTC S710 and had no problems. Very annoying so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Same here - I even ca`nnot get the car be paired with HD2 - why ?
Hello,
here is my issue with the BT connection: I have a Pioneer F900BT unit in my car. With my previous Nokia E66 everything worked just fine.
Now, when connecting with HD2, connection works ok, phonebook is downloaded ok, BUT: when there is a call, the music in the car is not silenced automatically; what's worse, it seems the phone doesn't send any call identification to the headunit, since all the history (outgoing, incoming calls) is empty. So, I cannot redial or see who's calling me.
I did try the fix in the registry described on another thread (setting HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\sys\COD=5374476, but it doesn't help.
Any idea?
Thank you.
It works perfectly with my Mercedes Command with Bluetooth Adapter, it does not transfer all of my 800 contacts because it use to make a new entry for each tel. number (Home / Works, etc.) therefore it says "memory full" at about 75% but I can understand. At least I can call/recognize up to the "S" beginning contacts.
Anyhow, since I used to have this problem in the past, you could try Jetware, it worked for me with my Cruise.

To follow up, I have found that its the pin lock (mentioned in another thread) that is causing the problem. If you unlock your phone before you pair up then contacts are coming across every time. May not work for everyone if their problem is different but has for me so wanted to share. If anyone knows how to bypass security issue with paired device I would like to know but as a workaround its better than no contacts!
I have this problem with my BMW iDrive too. No problems getting the address data on the HD but not working for me on the HD2. Can pair and make calls though. Any solution?
phonebook does not sync
I have a BMW with the bluetooth feature. From what I have noticed there is a connection started to the phonebook and it starts sending (and receving some) information but after about 110k it stoppes and the phonebook is disconnected. I would be happy to assist in any further analysis if anybody has any ideas.
I have no problem making and receiving calls in through this setup, but, as stated, the connection to the phonebook is not possbile. This was previously possible throgh the HD

read my previous reply, its because your phone is locked whn it connects. If you unlock it before you pair up it should work.

OK. I tried to just unlock it, but this did not work. I will try to unpair, then unlock and then pair again, and see if this then works.

Well, unfortunately it did not work. I unpaired the phone from the carkit, then removed the pin on the phone, did a soft reset, paired the phone with the carkit and saw that it started communicating with the phone book, but the communication stopped after about 110kb, as it usually does, and the phonebook was then disconnected.
Any ideas anyone?

Same issue
I'm facing the same issue... New Mercedes, phone calls are no problem but phonebook is not accessible... I doubt that it's a lock issue... When I paired it it also didn't work but there it was certainly unlocked...

I have just gotten an Audi which supports the sim access profile in phones. It says that it uses only the sim card from the phone thus saving battery and giving better reception through the cars external antenna. All very good but I cannot find this profile on my Touch HD. I am using radio version 1.17.25.09.with NRG ROM. What can I do? Is there a cab file for this does anyone know?
Aslo upon connection does this system read the phones own phone book or only those contacts on the sim card?
Appreciate direction on this one.

Does anyone know about why the touch HD does not have sim access profile in bluetooth????????
Have you found an answer to your problem ?

Thanks for your interest; no as you can see there seems to be no interest in this thread. I would like to know more about SAP and how it works and how I can install this on my blackstone. I would also like to know if it uses my phone book directory or just SIM numbers (because I do not keep any numbers on my SIM card).
If you ever get any info on this I would appreciate it being passed n.
Thanks
Rsap - SAP etc...
Hi
Just read your message.
I have a Touch HD that connects perfectly with my VW Passat CC system.
You need to go...
Settings >>>Connections>>>Bluetooth>>>SIM Access....and tick the box that says remote sim access.
After you have done this you go through the pairing process. The phone will work straight off but you'll only get contact details on the car console if you have them stored on your SIM not on the main HD memory or an SD car.
I simply moved the key contacts I have across and hey presto I can ring using the car console or the car phone pad or the HD. If you recieve a call from someone not in your SIM stored contacts the car consol simply shows the number.
Is this possible for any PDA?
Have a Ndrive S400 and also a VW passat, and no luck so far in pairing my phone to the car.
Thanks.
