I recently installed 'Bluemusic' which is an app to force all sound through my bluetooth headset, specifically for use when I'm on my motorbike. I'm finding though, when not on headset and not using BM that the phone is switching to speakerphone after maybe 1 or 2 seconds of it starting to ring the number I dial.
Anyone know whats happened and how I stop it doing this?

I'm running DCD 3.0.0 rom and I found that everytime I turn off my bluetooth headset and bluetooth on my phone that when I go to make a call I cant hear anything from my phone, I've tried turning on the speakerphone too but nothing, I don't know if the other end can hear me but the only way I can fix it is by soft-reseting...
is this a known problem? is there a simple fix? or am i doing something wrong here?

Hmmm... is the volume turned all the way up in the system settings along with the volume for calls?
I have this same problem. I think it is related to Voice command. Do you have VC?
This happens to me 1 or 2 calls after turning off my headset. When I turn the headset back on, the audio works again. I tried turning BT off but that didn't do it along. The fix (so far, I think) is to activate VC (push the right mapped button), and say "cancel". This may need to be done in conjunction with turning BT off. That may reset the audio and ensure it is mapped through the phone speaker, rather than the headset.
I am not 100% sure on this fix yet, as I just figured it out this morning. I think it is related to VC because VC obviously has other problems related to BT.

I've had this problem sporadically with Plantronics 855. I found that turning off BT before the headset seems to cause my problem. When the problem occurs, a soft reset is the only thing that gets audio back. In general, stock 2.17 worked better with the 855 than 3.35 (I'm now using DCD 3.0.1). The headset will occasionally redirect to the handset unexpectedly and will not resume playing audio after a call. None of this is a deal breaker, just minor annoyances.
bump for a fix please
anyone else experienced this? what happens is that during a call while using hands free, when an incoming call comes in, it automatically shifts the current call to loudspeaker, and switches itself back one the phone stops ringing :/
funny you should say that, it happend to me for the first time today, just as you described
same for me - got a text while listening to music and found out the sound came out from the speaker :S
I had a similar but slightly different problem yesterday. I was trying to listen to music with bt headphones - the music cam out of the speaker, but system sounds were coming through BT headset.
soft reset did not help, turning off bt headset and powering it again fixed it.
I had a same problem. It was really annoying. I searched a bit and found that setting the key "\\\registry\HKCU\Control Panel\SoundCategories\Ring\Speaker" to 0 solves the problem.

does that stop it ringing from the speaker altogether or just with headphones?
Just with headphones.

Hello,
I have trouble using Supertooth Light speakerphone with my G1 (JF RC9).
Two issues i have are:
1. bad quality call - mainly the person who i'm talking with is hearing me twice (echo i guess)
2. ringer isn't activated threw speakerphone - the G1 rings, not the speakerphone.
Anyone know about these kind of problems?
Thanks
I'm sure I'm being very dim but I thought Froyo supported Bluetooth voice dialling. Just tried with my BlueAnt headset, press the button on the headset and I get the low beep that means it can't do anything. I can receive calls on the headset fine.
Should this work and what am I doing wrong?
TIA

I too had some issues with this, especially after installing skype. I finally got it to work by setting up the phone dialer as the default and pressing the bluetooth button twice insted aod the usual once.
It seems that some firmwares have this disabled. not sure why.
Hello,
When people call me I speak through BT and they sound loud an clear. However when I try to listen to a voicemail I have to be in a dead silent room to even remotely make out what they are saying when playing back through Bluetooth. I have the BT volume turned all the way up. I switch to speaker, they are loud and clear. I'm not sure if this is an android issue or an LG issue.
Also no problem with google driving directions through Bluetooth. THe only time BT is too quiet is when playing back voicemails. I have to switch to speakers every time.
How do you listen to voicemails? Through phone by dialing the voicemail number or through a voicemail app?
Good question. It turns out that the apps is what is quiet. When I dial *86 my voicemail is loud and clear. Any suggestions (other than not using the VM app)?
I ended up trying another VM app and it didn't have the volume issue. Thanks for pinpointing the source of the issue.
Glad it's fixed. Ive only ever tried the T-Mobile voicemail app and it works alright except for the fact that it doesn't turn the screen off when trying to listen to the voicemail and if I manually turn off the screen then it stops playing so the only way I can listen with activating stuff with my face is speaker mode or Bluetooth headset.
