I just bought an T-Mobile MDA Pro (universal) in China. It says For Test only and Not for sale on the boot screen. True, I bought it for a cheaper price than usual. Is it safe? Secondly, I want to change to an English ROM. Maybe O2 or Jasjar, or whatever. Can I do that without getting the "cannot be run on this device problem?" Please help. Thank you very much.

It cost 4000(RMB,not $) in china.
U can buy it on the C2C website,like www.taobao.com

I have get an Orange SPV M5000,and changed to Jasjar by myself,No problem!
Sorry to read this post only after SOSOSOSO long...
anyway, I have just upgraded my ROM to the Helmi Rom, with Dopod Asia's Radio and Extended ROM. Still, I am now trying to revive the Chinese input. I tried Maction Chinese SIP but not as good as the originial one included when I bought th eunit.
BTW, I bought it in a mall across from the SHanghai Train Station (The main train interchange in Shanghai). I paid 4500 RMB for it that time. I don't think is a very safe idea to buy from the net in CHina.

my Japanese girlfriend bought a X01HT with the intention to use it abroad (after the unlock patch), but after using the device for some time, she is not very happy with it and gave it over to me (^^)/
Well, as I have no use of it, I would like to know if anybody here is interested in buying it.
We got the device beginning of November, so it does not have the limitations of the after 2nd December devices.
The imei-patcher was applied, so you can use every Sim Card with it.
Also I flashed the Cingular 1.34 English ROM on the device, so everything is in English.
The device looks like new and has no technical problems.
So is anybody interested ?

I'm interested in getting this device but its only available in 16gb from what I can see in the UK.. that's too small for me, I can't rely on streaming all the time.
Has anyone bought one from one of the HK sellers? I don't know the dangers in doing this but they seem reputable.. I'm not sure how else I can get a 32gb model!
