Does anybody know if it is possible to use the Blackberry Connect application, in combination with GMail?
I have a Mail2Web push account setup and my GMails forwarded there at present. However I can only reply with my Mail2Web address which is unsatisfactory. I can't manage the emails on GMail (delete, etc.) that way either.
Google have released an app for Blackberrys which I wondered if it would work on the TyTN, or via BBC?

Hi guys
I'm wondering whether it is somehow possible to override the limitation of Activesync in WM and sync mails with more than 1 server?
I use mail-push for corporate mails, but would like of course to sync also my private mail2web - account.
what's the latest on this? sorry to revive such an old topic.
As far as I know, you'd have to use an alternative client to sync with multiple servers/
What if I want my handheld to sync to one exchange server just for email and another for contacts, calendar, and tasks?
At this time ActiveSync only supports 1 server.
mail from one exchange server, calendar/contacts from another...

Thought I would share it as i've been trying to figure out how sync my corporate email & calendar via one activesync server (company) and google contacts via another (the google server). So now I have both personal email (gmail IMAP) and work email (Exchange) and my personal contacts imported into the native contacts list.
Hope someone else finds this useful.
BTW, I also set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\EnableNonLocalCrossPollination to "1" instead of "0".
And now???
No news about multiple accounts setup?
As gmail is now provideing push access this becomes more than frustrating to be limited to one push server!!!!!!
You're too lazy MS!
Activesync does support multiple servers if you are not syncing the same items with both.
For example:
I sync my calendar and contacts with google sync and sync just my email with the company I work for.
You just have to go into the pocket outlook and create a new account as if you were creating a pop3 or imap account and then select Exchange Server. You however can NOT sync contacts or email or anything with both.

Thx for your answer. That's what I am using.
Bu I want to use the push mode fo both accounts and Activesync does nto support it... Which is a pity!
Is it possile to setup multiple exchange servers on the touch HD.
Or does one have to be exchange and the other IMAP
Maybe this would help:

Not directly.
I have 2 Exchange Servers, one in the company, and a private server.
The company Exchange Server is used with Server Activesync, and the other I have configured with IMAP.
Enable the crosspollination allows you to sync then Calendar, Contacts via USB/BT at home, too.
So you have the same data across company server, private server and the device.
You can only have one Exchange sync profile running on the device. The other accounts would have to be brought in by Imap - then obviously you're just syncing email, not calendar, contacts etc.
mail from one exchange server, calendar/contacts from another...

I have used Outlook forever and thinking about changing but there are some things I do not know about Gmail that may not be possible. I have been stuck on Outlook because I have total control of my mailbox on my home server (.pst file) and I use a two business emails addresses from domains I own.
1. I own two domains and I have emails addresses I created from them. How or can they work in Gmail so email from my paid email addresses hit gmail then my device?
2. How much stored mail can I keep in gmail...my .pst file for Outlook is big?
I have had a gmail address for years but do not use it at all besides for the market I use emails from my domain but I would like to get the wireless sync going if it all can work in gmail...
Advise...
you can setup forwarding to forward all ur mail to gmail.
if these servers support imap/pop u can do wireless sync without having to first go to gmail. the phone fully supports configuring your own server settings for mail.
I run a small biz off of google apps.
While I'm not savvy on everything outlook has to offer at the server level, I was amazed at the options google apps domain and email hosting offered to make a transition from any platform.
Well looks like it works but I have one problem...
I setup the pop mail account in gmail from my PC off the website. I can send\compose emails and select my pop mail account to send. However from the Droid, when I compose I only see gmail...how can I see the pop I created from the website to push to my DINC? I want to be able to select the pop account I want to send from off the phone for gmail?
So I was planning on using K9 in place of the stock email client but low and behold it appears that K9 and hotmail don't play nice together. I can only seem to get hotmail connected as a POP3 account. Does anyone know if there is any way to get K9 connected to hotmail as either IMAP or exchange?
I've tried manually setting it up as IMAP and Exchange with m.hotmail.com and m.live.com as the server with the default ports but nothing seems to be working.
Suggestions along the lines of forward mail to gmail, gmail is better, etc etc that don't involve K9 connecting to hotmail directly are not necessary. I know all of the other "options" but I need to either connect K9 to hotmail directly or not use k9 and stick with the stock email client (which I'm hoping I can switch to k9).
Well it appears that NO ONE has figured it out because K9 (and the paid Kaiten) don't support Exchange ActiveSync which newer versions of exchange and apparently Hotmail Exchange uses.
So anyone have another email replacement client that is as good as K9 that I could consider to replace the stock mail app? Requirements are the ability to connect directly to hotmail, a couple IMAP servers and a corporate Exchange server all at the same time with a unified inbox.
i was using gmail activesync/exhange for mail on my S3 for almost a year, but since upgrading to the S4 i can no longer add my gmail as exhange account (no longer can add new devices for gmail/exchange for free).
what are my options to get push mail now using exhange and the stock email client (which i prefer over gmail app). i heard about outlook.com, but i really didn't want to start using another email address. can i somehow use outlook for push mail and have my gmail go there? as of right now my only option is forwarding my gmail to outlook.
TIA
What is your main reason for using activesync? If its just for push then try k9 mail. Its free and one of the best email clients with push on android.
