Copy or rename Camera.exe.040c.mui to Camera.exe.0409.mui (or Camera.exe.0410.mui)
Configure on Setting GPSID (External GPS):
GPS Program Port = GPD8
GPS Hardware Poot = (the port of GPS BT Paired ,ie..COM0)
Great now works fine...
Only problem that i recive an error:
Cannot initialize GPS service...
perhaps because I have not connected it to the gps bt?

Until a few weeks ago, I had an XDA IIi with TomTom 5 GPS receiver and software. My phone and GPS were both nicked (along with my car and £4,000 worth of other stuff) after getting broken into.
I have now got an XDA Exec. The memory card that was in my phone was a backup onto a larger card, so I still have the original software and am trying to get back onto my SatNav as quickly and as cheaply as I can (unless cheap is not necessarily the way to go).
I am considering buying this car mount for the phone, but the GPS in the pic looks nothing like my old one. This got me looking into alternative GPS receiver and it seems like there are quite a few, but I don't know what would be compatible.
So, any advice on what receiver to get? Also, do you think there would be any problems with putting my XDA IIi TomTom software onto the Exec?
That`s the mount I use,and it`s AWESOME! Perfect fit, clear built in speaker, ver solid when mounted.
I use this receiver from ebay ---> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....geName=MERC_VIC_RSCKCK_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT
Never had a single problem setting up TT5 or using it on my Exec.I would definately recommend the above 2 items.

The listing doesn't mention being compatible with the XDA Exec. I presume you are 100% certain?
Also, the mount I posted a link to looks like it is for a certain type of GPS. How does it actually fit in, and is it a neat looking job.

hey mate, you have another option as well, you can also create a dial-up connection, in the 2nd window(2nd thumbnail by you) usin' the default phone as *99#, Username and Password to be left blank.
Cheers..
How to get PPC online internet when use with bluesoliel v5.0.5?
It's was very easy in v3.2.2.8, just check the option "ACCESS LAN NETWORK", then PPC can use the share connection from PC. unforturnely, v3.2.2.8 seemed not stable and makes my PC reboot frequently...
When upgrade to v5.0.5, that option was not found. And could not get on share internet connection anymore... Anyone can help on this?
Thanks.
Hello,
did someone try it on the htc diamond? i think it can not support the wifi adapter.
try the attachment. thanks!
well i ve tried the version 2.5 and it did not work in Promiscuous Mode.
btw i would like to learn a way to collect IVs in Diamond.
This app would be nice to have on my diamond..
try PeekPocket 1.6 (also a wlan sniffer), works nicely on my Diamond.

A copy of WiFiFoFum is only £10 GBP and you can use Google Checkout or Paypal.
I beta tested WiFiFoFum all through the testing phase and I will say for functionality, PeekPocket does everything and I tested it on my Fuze after I saw the post and must say that it works great.
Thanks for the heads up bobokonijn...

Excuse my ignorance but whats the point of Peek Pocket... doesnt it do the same thing that the windows software do? just scans for wifi networks? or is there more to it?
Airscanner Sniffer is not the same as PeekPocket. Peekpocket only shows available networks. Airscanner is a packer sniffer.
Anybody have been able to work these in Promiscuous Mode? i could not. neither i did find a way to collect IVs. anyone has any experience about this stuff on ppc?
@Baz43:
PeekPocket shows all available Wifi networks with their respective signal strengths and what type of encryption they use.
HSniffer I have tried on my Diamond and it is capable of entering promiscous mode and capturing packets.

Does anyone knows where the pictures you take with the footprint cam are? I wanted to save them at my computer...
would like to know that as well. because i did not find it, i use the reg-edit:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P10 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
then you will have the option to take gps-pics (written into exif-data) with the usual cam, and full size.

Hi,
You can find it under: root (internal memory not memory card)/Application Data/HTC/HTCFootprint/
I didn't try it yet but you probably can't access the pictures through "Active Sync" or just by conncting with USB but you can use a filer application like "Total Commander" (free and very useful).
Good luck!
Footprints save your photos as small thumbnails 400x400 pixels, what makes them useless and the geotagging information is saved in a separate file turning the export of that photos to for example Google Earth a manual work (if you want to see the the photo in GE you have to copy/paste the informatin stored in the footprints file). More information here http://www.gadling.com/2009/03/25/product-review-htc-touch-cruise-with-footprints/.
I sugest you try locr_GPS_Photo_WM_1.0.1 here http://pt.locr.com/.

I use this tweak too but I have to launch any gps application before I start the camera otherwise the camera gets stucked in the initialising gps screen.
Anyone knows how to solve this?
on my jade, the camera does not stuck, but of course needs some time to find the gps-signal... how long did you wait?

Well, I tried everything but without sucess. If I launch a GPS program before starting the camera there's no problem and the fix is almost instantanious, but if I launch the camera without a GPS program I could wait for hours because the camera get's stucked in the "initializing GPS" screen. Maybe it's got to do with the ROM language. Anyone got a clue?
Hi guys. I just read through the Blackstone-subforums to find some cool new apps and yes, I found something very Interesting.
I'm talking about this Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511838
They made TMC-service without additional hardware possible for the Blackstone and I tested the service on my X1 and it works amazingly with MN7.
Big THX to our "brothers" in the neighbor-subforum!!!
Could you please indicate how you got this working?
Did you have to disable the Media Panel (X-Panel), or did you have an older firmware without this?
If you did have to disable it, how did you do that?
And, it was my understanding Navigon (MN7) only supports GPS with integrated TMC and this mix-driver isn't ready yet.
A step-by-step for the X1 would be really appreciated!
Thanks,
Rowdy
I'm interested in a step-by-step guide too! HyperGPS works fine but I can't activate it in MN7. If I do it manually by editing the XML Port 9: HyperGPS is activated but I can't press the "Traffic/Verkehr"button.

the new media panel should be disabled, because it claims radio exclusivly. There is a reg key which prevents new media panel loading during boot.
with the old media panel, iGO works fine tmc messages.
How are the setting in the MN7 for the tmc?
COM9 with 4800 baud?
Kartsen
whooh, looks pretty amazing!!
But, after running, it doesn't matter wich com port i'm selecting, there all not working!
hoping for a new version..
but WHAT IS TMC ??
TMC means Traffic Message Channel.
It's something like this:

Yes, well, I have searched 'everywhere' but probably on the wrong terms, since I cannot find this registry key.
So, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
I would also be interested in a solution for MN7, because it doesn't seem to support TMC via COM-port..
How did you get it to work de Wolfe?
Hi. Sorry that I left the thread without any further infos
I almost dispaird of this topic. TMC worked exactly one time and MN7 showed me a traffic jam. But after that any other start of MN7 just let the TMC-driver peg out... After hours of further testing I gave up and took comfort in seeing that the whole project is still just in alpha-status...
Since yesterday my beloved X1 is at the doctor and gets dressed its ugly crack
