you can remove these programs like other programs, from setting, system, and remove programs,
after hard reset you can cancel running of outoinstaler program till you haven't these programs on your device,

i get this warning every now and then, like today when i synched my phone it popped up, it says "cannot execute file: \windows\pocketnotify.exe" i looked in the windows folder and i cant find pocketnotify.exe, should i reformat or is this from an app i installed?
I bleave it is installed with spb GPRS monitor and it keeps popup when you do a softreset or sometimes try to sync.
If you have spb GPRS monitor uninstall it and it wont show up again.
If you get a tool which can edit the Notifications database (like Pocket Mechanic) you might be able to delete the appropriate entry. It sounds like a System event notification, possibly an AppRunAtRS232Detect one.
i used to have pocket mechanic installed but my device gets buggy when i install more then 3 apps.
also never had spb gprs monitor, but i have spb pocket plus installed. would that be the problem? i think i'm just gonna do a hard reset.
I used memaid and just deleted it from the startup.
First, I have Cingular 8125 with Qtek AKU2 ROM.
I have installed informant PIM and .mobile Contact Phone softwares. I love both of them, a way better than PIM apps that came with origrinally. However how can I remap the softkey for Conact and Calendar in TODAY and PHONE screens? I want to open informant when I press Calendar and Contact button for .mobile Contact Phone.

Here is what I'm using. Even though it doesn't give you full control of what you want. It might suit your needs though.
Hello everyone,
I recently upgraded to a Cingular 8125 after using an IPAQ 6315 for 2 years (Deviced was unlocked from T-mobile). The Ipaq 6315 had a very nice tool which allowed you to perform a system/data backup and pardon my ignorance but I do not see that been an option on the Cingular 8125.
Does anyone know if that's possible to do on the Cingular 8125 or am I looking at getting a third party software to get this done? :?:
Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

You probably need to get a backup program. I'm not sure which backup program is good, as I've heard about issues with a number of them. The 8125, other than ActiveSync, doesn't have any real way of backing stuff up, as far as I know.
While I don't know exactly what you're wanting to back up or which programs you're using, the database programs that I use have an export/import option from the bottom menu tab so that it will create a backup file of the information I've entered onto my SD card.
However, a couple of the programs I run are automatically synced through Active Sync through the "Files" setting, so when I upgraded the ROM and reactivated those programs, the information was back in there with the first sync.
Thanks for the reply guys!
I've made changes to the registry and have installed third party programs in my cingular 8125.
When I was using the IPAQ 6315, the built in backup software will allow you to backup "My documents" folder as well as system files (including programs)... so if I was to upgrade the rom on the IPAQ 6315 all i had to do was run my latest backup and "My Documents" along with my third party programs will be back on my phone without the need of me having to install all the third party apps, one by one....
Does anyone know if there's a backup app that will work the same? I am looking at SPB Backup, but i just dont know how good is it.
Thanks,
Will V
Hi everyone, I am newbie need your help.
I am using MDA Pro, last time I tried to install Pocket Informant (trial version) and when it asked me whether to choose PI as default PIM program I has ansewred "yes"
After using it for 2 hours, I decided to uninstall it but the problem happened. The softkey pointed to calendar is now no longer function, It say smt missing. I have to point to "calendar: on the Start menu. I also cannot see the Calendar shortcut from Program group. What can I do to solve it?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Re-Install Pocket Informant, open the program go to tools and settings and un-tick the "Make Default PIM" then uninstall.
I've searched for a month solid, I'm trying to do whatever I can to save space on my MDA which includes removing/uninstalling software which I feel is useless. Pocket MSN is one of the first things I wanted to remove due to the fact that it starts itself up as a background process even if I don't want it to.
Is it possible to remove this application?
Go into windows/start menu/programs, find msn in the list, tap & hold, delete. This should remove the program. If you have a registry editor, delete all the msn keys you can find...HKCU/HKLM/HKCR installed apps.
