Hi everyone, I am newbie need your help.
I am using MDA Pro, last time I tried to install Pocket Informant (trial version) and when it asked me whether to choose PI as default PIM program I has ansewred "yes"
After using it for 2 hours, I decided to uninstall it but the problem happened. The softkey pointed to calendar is now no longer function, It say smt missing. I have to point to "calendar: on the Start menu. I also cannot see the Calendar shortcut from Program group. What can I do to solve it?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Re-Install Pocket Informant, open the program go to tools and settings and un-tick the "Make Default PIM" then uninstall.

I have installed informant PIM and .mobile Contact Phone softwares. I love both of them, a way better than PIM apps that came with origrinally. However how can I remap the softkey for Conact and Calendar in TODAY and PHONE screens? I want to open informant when I press Calendar and Contact button for .mobile Contact Phone.

Here is what I'm using. Even though it doesn't give you full control of what you want. It might suit your needs though.
I have a Hermes running Pocket Breeze and Pocket Informant 2007, however I don't seem to be getting any alarm notifications / alerts for calendar events..
Cant seem to find a setting in these apps. I am setting on alarm on the acutal event but it never notifes me.
I am also using phoneAlarm, can this be disabling them?
I have check under Sounds and Notifications and all is ticked for events/notifications.
Any ideas??
Thanks
Mark
Does anyone have any idea on this? If so could you please give me some pointers
Thanks
Mark
Could this problem be related to the "Notification Queue"????
Help.. I keep missing meetings..
Have you tried checking your notification queue for duplicates and/or out of date entries.
You can try scarybear checknotifications, memmaid or sk tools for this (prob there are others too)
Try this first, see if there are any duplicates or out of date entries. Delete all these, soft reset and then try again.
I use a combination of the above tools as I find that they often find dups or out of date entries that the others miss. Try checknotifications first (free), and see if this helps.
I still find that the known alarm problems with windows mobile persist into WM5. I use Tweaks2k2 to alter the wake-up settings. You can also get an alarm fix from Burr Oak software - its free the last time I looked. Look for "Wakeup Tweak Installer. I assume this is the same programme I used to use before I got Tweaks2k2.
Try uninstalling all non-core apps and see what happens. ie PI and phone Alarm. Clearly there is a conflict with 3 programs all having a go at alarming you, ie default calendar, PI calendar and phoneAlarm.
I have never had a problem with any alarm notifications, but then I am just using the default calendar.
Hello,
I recently downloaded the application on the ftp server to reassign the soft buttons in the todayscreen (was recommended).
However, it is impossible to assign the calendar application (it always results in an error stating that one or more required files cannot be found, despite the fact that I can launch calendar from the start menu). So I removed the software, but the problem persists, even after a soft reset.
How can I get the calendar back on the left softkey, without having to hardreset my device?
Thanks!
Jörg

Hey V J, I think that is the old problem that is fixed with a simple reg tweak. It is looking for the wrong Calendar App, iirc. Try the google site search for Calendar error registry - or something like that.
Man, I love that Google search - found it in the first result - since I am feeling magnanimous, here you go:
Q: How do I fix the Calendar softkey error?
A: Regedit \HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112 from windows/lsk/htccalendar.exe to windows/calendar.exe
Thanks! That was indeed the issue.
(I must have been using inadequate keywords on google...)

Hello.
I've searched a lot, but failed to find anything which solves my problem.
Is there a way to change the program which is launched by 'manila'?
E.g.
I've installed 'Pocket Informant' as my favorite agenda application.
Even if I set Pocket Informant to my default calendar application, the standard calendar is launched when I touch on schedules at the home screen in TF3D.
Any help is appreciated.
TIA

Will do the job.
Works just fine for me.
Thx a lot.
Hi
Customer has a HTC HD Mini, and uses Lotus Traveler to sync his mail from work.
There seems to have been a hickup in the system in his office which requires a reinstall of the mobile application, but I am unable to get it removed.
I go to Settings-->Programs-->Remove programs
Mark the program "Lotus Traveler"
Press Remove
It loads for a few secs
I get the confirmation of removal dialog, press OK
It loads a few more secs
Then I a dialog box comes up and says: "IBM Lotus Notes Traveler was not completely removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?"
No matter if I press yes or no here, the program remains installed, and in the list of installed programs.
I get no more info than what I've written here, so if you need more detailed info, you will have to tell me how to get it =)
Try to reinstall it. It should ask to deinstall it first. Maybe that helps.
Already tried that, forgot to mention that. When I try to reinstall the same thing happens...
Get him to do a backup of his PIM data and then get the Domino admin to send a "wipe traveler" from the server. See screen caps
i agree that getting Traveler related logs/data is a pain.
Well, I fixed it. Not the way you suggested deedee, but similar.
Took backup of PIM data, did a hard reset ON the phone (since the Traveler Server and the phone was disconnected, hard-reset from Traveler Server was unavailable) and installed again after reset =)
Got the same problem, in search for a solution I end up here.
So if anyone else end up here...
This is how to do it the right way:
On your phone; settings -> security -> select device administrators -> click on "Lotus Traveler Security" and "Deactivate"
Now you should be able to uninstall the application without any problem!
