make sure you have 2.08 or higher radio, and HPSL/spl 2.10 or higher
i have Radio 2.15 and HSPL 2.08 but i can't find newer HSPL and Android is still not working...i tried about 10 different Androids..

I dont see what your problem is then, HPSL 2.08 is the newest.
Make sure your SD card is fully formatted fat32 and 32/64 kb cluster size before you put the android build onto it, and the sd card should be 4gb or more.
SD card is 8 GB with FAT32 and 32kbit...everything is ready and prepared so i don't understand why it doesn't work

Format the FAT32...within the phone, not pc, and check my thread for a link at the bottom that has a possible fix.

REALLY????
How come I am using class 2 and it doesn't lag on me???
i personally experienced this problem......................... then i search and found that minimum class 4 card is required.......after i bought a new class 4 card then android worked............
(i will suggest you to burrow a mirco sd card (class 4)from your friend and check whether android works or not ,,,if it works then you might need to buy a new class 4 card
Dude just wait for it to boot.it takes ten to fifteen minutes for first boot

Sorry, but this is the biggest nonsense i have heard about running android on hd2. In fact a lot of users report (including myself) running android on a class 2 solves the most issues. For me the key was to format the sdcard with the SDFormatter. Well, its all there in the sticky...

Complete and utter arse vomit!
I have/had Android running perfectly on 3 separate class 2 SD Cards. As mentioned above its about formatting your card CORRECTLY and also making sure you have correct windows rom/radio version.
To format your card use this and set it to FULL format with ERASE ON. Then also either be patient while the build created the data.img or place one there yourself in the "Android" folder to skip that part.
If you fail after this then your an idiot or your phone is gay.
Hi all,
I am looking at purchasing a Kingston 16gb Class 4 SD card to use with app2sd for my X8.
Will this card be fast enough? I have read across the forum that people recommend class 6 but is anybody using class 4? Is it fast and stable enough to run apps?
Thanks,
C
I am using a 16gb class 4 card and it works fine. App2sd works with no issues whatsoever.
hi karun11, what brand card are you using?
I am using a Sandisk 16Gb class 4 card
Class 4 is only slow if you use the Unofficial App2SD (that moves dalvik-cache) to an ext2/3 partition on your card.
If you use a Custom ROM on your X8 that is 2.2 or 2.3 and supports Official App2SD, class 4 is fine.
Even though unofficial App2SD on class 4 is slowish, I tried it, and it was fine for me.
So the answer is - it really doesn't matter.

very2 agree...i use 8Gb class 4
I use 8GB class 4 card with ext2 partition with ALL user apps on it, Angry Birds run flawlessly - well, there is some minor lag a moment after the level is loaded, but when you start shooting birds it goes beautifully So yes, class 4 is ok
i use TDK 4Gb SDHC class 4, app2sd (moved dalvik to sd)
1Gb ext3 for app2sd, 400mb for swap
its fine,work smoothly
*sorry for my english...

i am using the official SE rom. So would the class 4 card be fast enough? My App2SD does move the dalvik-cache.
Does anybody know if 32gb card works with the X8?
i'm using 4GB class 2 and I havent't problems
Used class 2 8GB and class 4 4GB with app2sd, and I could say that album pictures are loading a bit faster with class4...

You might have to format the card before you can use it.
I had to do it.
If i'm right you can go into the sd card settings.
i hope this'll help you.

I have 8gd class 4 with 2 partitions (FAT32 and EXT3), and i don't have problems.
You can do a test for verify if your SD is damage. You can use MiniTool Partition for that.
I have a 16Gb class 6 in my X8 and it works fine.
I had some of that(loop restarting) in my experience with custom roms.
Remove the sd card and try to boot,if it boots then the problem is in sdcard.
Now,when this happen to me all i did was a file system check in a windows box and the phone booted fine.
So good luck.
I want to buy 16GB class 10 memory card but i don`t know what is the best to use with NativeSD or Dataonext.

Filesystem support depends on the kernel.
Both are probably supported with custom kernels.
One or the other will probably be supported with stock too considering the partitions on android phones usually use ext3/4.

IT DOES !!! Every new phone that has Android supports SDHC ... HC (High Capacity)
read description of an app
one more thing is it this app ?
AppMgr III (App 2 SD)
Note:
* Move apps function may not work on your device as manufacture removes the function of moving apps to SD from Android system (not support: S DUOS, Note2, Tab 2, L5-L9, OneX, 7-10" tablet)
