When I try to modify anything in the registry it is not possible and the changes do not stay after soft reset. Also, if I import something to the registry the Qtek 9100 show a message saying: Syntax Error. Then it shows another saying: Registry importing was finished. But in reality changes did not take effect. Any clue ?
Thanks
about the save changes after soft reset..
=if you made any changes in the registry, dont reset right away.. just wait 30sec-1min before you reset..
about the syntax error..
=the registry file you've import must have a wrong syntax.. im talking about the .reg
kindly check one by one the values..
I recommend you use resco registry..

Before this site was hacked I have read a post about removing the old microsoft stack icon after putting the widcomm stack on it?
I can't find it anymore!
Does somebody knows how to do this without any bugs ?
Best regards,
Dide
You must delete a reg file.
Local_machine/services/BTicon.
Delete the BTicon reg. file. then soft reset
Doesn’t this solution slow down the performance of the unit after the soft reset?
I’ve read this in an older post.
I remember something about an extra solution for this one.
Br,
Dide
I can't really tell you this, I personaly used the method posted below.
if you afraid some trouble coz of delete this registry, you can add : mark before BTicon like this
;BTicon
this registry is not force any more. and try to use problem will be happened or not.
if you wish to make it back to default, you can delete this ; again. it registry will come back.
Original BTicon Registry Entries
Anyone who has the original BTicon values or an exported key? I need to restore my MS BT icon.. Thanks!
original reg

I'm trying to make a cab of all my settings/programs etc since there's a lot of flashing going on nowadays..
I've dumped my registry with all my settings, however now i'm trying to get a registry dump from a clean device (after hard reset) so i can compare and extract the values that are different. Of course, now i don't have any programs on the device to grab the registry. Can someone point me to the right app? Was trying to use registry workshop from my PC, but it doesn't seem to like exporting from the trinity.. while exporting, the window just goes blank and hangs there..
Hi All,
I'm trying to make some registry changes on the Mogul and when I save the changes all is ok until I soft boot and then they go back to their default values. How can I prevent this?
I am also trying to save a file in the \Windows directory and it's giving me an access is denied message, how do I unlock this directory?
Thanks,
X2K
Which registry editor are you using?
Try using Resco explorer and registry editor pluggin:
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/
I hope it helps.
I'm using PHM Regedit
Which registry key(s) are you trying to edit? Some keys don't get saved or get reset no matter what upon reboot.
Try this:
In [HKLM\System\ObjectStore] is a reg key "RegistryType=1", which means Hive based registry.
When you set it to "RegistryType=0", which means FILE based registry, all changes you do in the registry will stay there also if you reboot with device's reset button...
BUT AFTER YOU CHANGE THIS VALUE, FIRST REBOOT HAS TO BE DONE WITH SOME SOFTWARE, NOT WITH THE RESET BUTTON.
Subsequent reboots can be done with reset button then.

Great tip, even after a year since you posted it . Couldn't get rid of the default t-mobile -MDA Vario III aka kaiser- settings (PIE homepage e.g.), but you helped me out on this one
Hello all. I have tried to make the registry change (In [HKLM\System\ObjectStore] "RegistryType=1") to "RegistryType=0" mentioned above. That worked fine but I still can't save a change I'm trying to make. I bought MS Voice Command and was told to change the [HKLM\Software\OEM\Voicecommand path to \Program Files\MS Voice Command\voicecmd.exe. I can't seem to save the change. I have used several different registry editors including PHM, Resco and CeRegEditor. The displayed path (\Windows\SDDialer.exe) will not update. I'm using a Verizon XV6800 with WM 6.1 and the Verizon MR-1 update. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hey there,
Does anyone know how to make a registry file so that I can easily change settings in the registry by just executing it?
For example, I have 4 different registry edits that I do if I need to do a hard reset and it is a pain in the ass to do them everytime. I want it so that i have 4 different reg files that i can execute that will help me edit them.
Is this possible?
Thanks
hai all
my main memory is very low i checked for the reason and fond a folder called deblogger and has a file called cprog. its almost 75mb and im not able to run any other applications now.. im not able to delete it also. realy dono wat to do..pls any one help me out
you need a registry editor to kill the reg key that creates the Deblogger folder,
i suggest downloading PHM registry editor from here
and then you are looking for this in the registry
HKey Local Machine\Software\HTC\DebLogger
this will stop it logging anything, after a soft reset it will still show the registry key but will not log any info
hope this helps
Which to delete?
So do you kill the whole branch of HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger or a value under it? I have five keys under that, FileMode, OutputType, Severity, and TimeFormat. But I also have the following branches HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger\cprog , HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger\HTCPhotoPicker, HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger\SettingImprovement, and HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger\Zone.
So which of these do I delete?

The whole branch, i.e. the DebLogger key
