Phone Pad App.?

A friend of mine has Compact II (Magician) and when sending texes they have a Phone Pad option aswell as the keyboard option.
But it doesnt seem to be included on the Vario II.
It looks a quicker way to send messages as the pad is big enough to use your finger and it uses the T9 input.
Does anyone know of an App for this?

On my XDA Trion, it doesen`t work. After installing and softreset, it is available, but it`s nothing to see on the Screen.

I've installed International version in my TyTN and works fine in spanish.

I have to agree with Parazzi that I have tried installing both the English only version from this site and also the international (with a complete removal between versions) and while the option is added to the list of possible keyboards I see nothing on the screen. Could there be a registry adjustment that needs to be made?

I can not get into FTP server..can some send it to me?
I try to download Phone Pad from the given FTP link but it does not work...always server time out message. can some one help me please?!!!

Phone Pad Desperate Help Needed!!
I searched the forum but found different tread about this but none of them with a complete and clear answer.
I installed phonepad (so I can send quick MSM with one hand) maybe 20 times in tha last week
it runs for a couple of hours then I can see it in the keybord option but cannot select it!
Even if I uninstall it and reinstall it same!
The only solution for me is to HARD RESET my device (did it more than 20 times...) and reinstall everything + Phonepad ..ok for 2 or 3 hours then it goes again!!
I might add that my device is a Japanese system running englisg UI found on this forum. Could be that the problem?
Anyone can help me out?
Is there another program or application istead of the one downloadable from this forum?

I do not have 3rd party phone dialer, I am using the default one (english) Or do you mean the Japanes (original system) phone dialer? As mentioned my phone originally was Japanese, I can restore that with a hard reset.
Also I foud that even the symbol pad does not work
I am using PPC for the last 5 years and NEVER had SOOO many problems If I could get back to my HP

uniostalled phonepad soft reset twice but I can still see it on the
input option but cannot select it and get this error "the selected imput method could not be loaded" could be a currupted file ?
Where can i manually delete the phonepad files?

I dedicated my Saturday morning to my favorite hobby: install uninstall softreset hardreset sounds strange but I really enjoy
First of all I hard reset my device back to Japanese system then proceeded with installind one program at the time (first phonepad) and softreset after each installation.
I found out that if I install phonepd AND spb diary on the same driver, phonepad does not work!(at least on my device)
So I installed spb diary on my memory card and phonepad on the device memory and is working!
Also Microsoft voice command makes problems.
But unfortunatelly even if MVC is on a different driver phonepad does not work
I hope that one of the great programmers of this forum could take a look at this problem and find a way to solve it.
Will try to change my device back to English again and try the same procedure ...but not Today

Installed others programs, softreset and the phonepad ???

Is there A NY Other Phonepad Software out there? i googled around but found nada de nada niente nix nannimonai

i have japanese X01HT and have same problem with you when 1st time install this application.
after have a hard reset i installed:

On MMC
Resco explorer etc.
Voice speed dial (I love this program)
Spb Time
Virtual Earth Mobile
Opera
Declan Japanese Dictionary
Spb Time
Etc etc etc.
Installed phonepad on main memory as last program on main memory and now is working just fine!
Now I just have to delete the languages I do not use...know how to?
Will try to instal some other "non system related programs" game etc. on main memory to see what happen!
I know for sure that if I install Micosoft Voice Command no phonepad!
Anybody has phonepad AND microsoft Voice Command together?

Kaiser keyboard language problem

Hi,
I have a Kaiser (T-Mobile MDA III) with a German keyboard (QWERTZ) layout.
The Kaiser
Since I'm Dutch I changed to ROM to English and changed the keyboard to German layout via Start - Programs - Utilities- Device Config - Advenced Config - Keyboard.
But still when I press the "z" key the "y" is displayed.
What can be done about this?
I'm running L26_WM6 (HTC Kaiser WWE version_3) Kaiser has SPL running.
Is it also possible to switch hardware german keyboard against english one? And if yes where can they be bought?

the XDA_JCE... cab makes the hardware keyboard 100% german, (FN)+SPACE is also working!
try it.
a lot of people have this problem, too. help me share this file in other threads, if it works on your kaiser.

TRy Resco Keyboard or PCM Keyboard.

all those available cabs or reg strings doesnt work anymore. I think this issue has been somehow introduced with a newer OS bulit. I do have the same problem with my wizard hardware keyboard....

Hey everyone.
I know, that the last post was 2 years ago, but I've got huge problem with my HTC TyTN II. I reseted the device to manufacturer settings and after this action, I can't bring my hardware keyboard to be german again. My Kaiser is running on shifu_4.0 WWE ROM-Version (don't know, what it means, i've bought it like this) and this ROM is english. Before hard reset, i've installed this XDA_JCE... package and it worked just fine. Now I get the "Z" on the right place and "ß" is also available, but [FN] and SPACE are not working. I really type a lot on device and need hardware-keyboard with working Symbols. Do anyone know, how i deal with this problem.

Nothing works. I've tried every possible method with changing Registry, installing other cab's etc. The problem is, I always had Symbian before and don't really know, what I've got to do. Should I perhaps reinstall the ROM? Perhaps on the base of native german one? Do someone know a god one?

How to use another keyboard on my P3600?

I am desperately looking for a (working!) method to use another keyboard (like the good cootek touchpal keyboard) on my HTC P3600 (WM5). I tried the software IMSelector as well as SIPChange but it works only a few times!I reboot many times but I always keep the default keyboard...
Can someone help me?

I'm not sure about free software but I use SKTools and it get me the correct keyboard all the time.

I have an identical problem with the TouchPad or TouchKeyboard installed on my P3600. I've found that removing some of the object on the Today screen help TouchPad to start. So today, i've only a few items (messaging and SBP Diary) on my Today screen.
I also wait a little bit before entering my pin code for the phone until i see touchpad started (it shows the keyboard for a few seconds).
Since then, i "don't" have so much problems.

I've asked htc to know if there is an upgrade to wm6 and they said NO !
how can upgrade my p3600 to wm6?

Alternate SIPs not showing up is a well discussed problem in the Trinity forum, having just reinstalled everything on my own Trinity it seems that it is memory related, once the free RAM is below about half then alternate SIPs tend to be reluctant to work reliably.

Alternative Keyboard

I've had my SPV M700 for over a year now and have been well pleased with it I have customised the display somewhat but have had some problems with two items:
HTC Home Customiser and changing the default keyboard.
HTC Home Customiser:
I downloaded and installed the application some time ago but have never really understood how to use it, can someone point me to a guide?
Alternative Keyboard:
I dowloaded the HTC Diamond keyboard and one other the cabs installed OK but I could never get them to apply, anyone point me to a good looking alternative keyboard for the SPV M700.

Thanks very much, that's exactly what Iv'e been looking for, had some trouble installing it at first, removed all of the other custom keyboards that I had tried to install, did a soft resest and installed the PCM Keyboard .cab soft reset but did not work, the keyboard was there to be selected but could not be used.
I went onto the PCM FAQ solutions page and the first fix worked, I had to download and install Default _IM_WM5.Cab after a couple of resets I now have a lovely graphically pleasing iPhone like keyboard.

Activation of the Letter/Block Recognizer cookbook

Hi all,
I just received my HTC TOUCH2, and was very desapointed to see that the Letter/Block Recognizer wasn't available.
I found a couple of threads on the subject, mis of registry tweaks, cooked rom's ... Also searched around for an easy-non-risky solution.
And...MIRACLE. After consolidating misc post, I found 2 old cabs (attached), installed them, and it WORKS perfectly!!
Procedure:
1. install both cabs
2. run "bloc recog" program, it will enable/install? letter/block recognition deature
3. run SIPChange program, and select your favourite input method

I have the same problem.
I have installed both cabs. In the start directory I can find only SIPChange program, but "block recog" seems to be nowhere.
Adjusting settings in SIPChange doesnt have any effect

Thanks a lot for this hint.
After years with the TytnII I and being used to block recognizer I changed to the touch2 - and the missing BR war driving me crazy.
These two simple steps improved the touch significantly - and now I really do nor regret my choice anymore.
