SMS lock

hi, is there an application that I can use so that a password is needed to access my sms folders?

Try 'smart inbox'. Search on the net for link

But it replaces the default/original SMS Inbox and uses its own Inbox.. i just want to stick with the default MS inbox.

You could try this from www.zedsoft.net its called smsorganizer. It has similar features to smart inbox and uses the default inbox. The downside is it doesnt lock the inbox but it does hide any confidential sms you may get :wink:
On a side note does anyone know of any software like this that works with wm5?

does any1 know how this guy makes his program send u a msg telling to the d/l the latest version when you try using the program?
ie i went to start smsorganizer today, and it doesnt start, but comes up with a pop up asking to check the website for the latest version...
how does anevemkovacs get the program to do that ?
does he have access to control the program even though i haven't been online for months...

can i use 4 xdaII

jsut backup(via spb backup) and remove all the msgs of 30, 31 and 1st date and reinstall the application.

Solved: No SMS notifications and missing SMS account in Pocket Outlook

Yesterday I noticed that I don't longer hear the SMS incoming sound (doesn't matter which soundfile is selected).
The message arrives and thats it no indication by either blinking, vibrating or alarm.
The problem only occurres with SMS, Emails and MMS are being notified in every possible way as it should be.
I had this problems once before and ended up with hardresetting my terra. Don't want to do that everytime.
I also noticed that the SMS/Text Message account in Pocket Outlook isn't displayed anymore just Outlook and MMS is avaible from the menu.
To avoid misunderstandigs I do receive SMSes and can open them at any time from Pocket Outlook. Just getting no notification alerts and missing the SMS account settings inside Outlook
Anykind of help or a link is very much appreciated.

Just set "SMSAvailable" in the registry to 1 (enable).
This should solve your problem.

I think i ve got a more serious problem, with the same effects.
I can't see anything else at Messaging accounts, only a "Setup E-mail" button (no messages). I tried to set up an e-mail, but when i finished it goes back to the account select screen, and still only one option, to add a new email account.
After i press X and reactivate the screen on the Task Manager, i can see the Outlook's Inbox, but when i see the folders there arent messages only the Outlook e-mail.
I added the registry key you said, because there was only one key in that folder (nosentmessages 1), nothing changed.
I cooked this rom in my own, had i something missed to put in? If yes, are there any way to install that thing without recooking the rom?

Did you try to edit the registry with the setting from post #3?

Download complete email/pics???

Hi guys,
does anyone know any settings/hacks that allow my hd2 to download complete emails plus attachment (docs and pictures). It say images have been blocked??
Also can anyone recommend a better keyboard i hate the face that the HD2's landscape is off center doesn't make sense.
Any help or advice would be awesome.

Don't know about the pictures, but there is a setting for downloading complete email without having to do send/recieve again...
Goto Email Settings -> Download Size Settings -> Message dowload limit and set it as Entire message

It's a default setting even in Microsoft Outlook for PC, don't know if it can be changed.

Sorry, but where are the email settings?
For some reason the moment I check my emails on the computer they disappear from my hd2, even though they were there before, which is really annoying.

Go to "Windows Mobile Device Center",
> Mobile Device Settings
>Change content sync settings
> Email sync settings
>Include file attachements
.....should do it.

is the problem solved? i've got the same problem. with my p4350 no problem at all! and yes i've tried entire message etc...

Auto download full email instead of pointless previews?

Hey,
Like the HD2, but there's one really annoying niggle that I can't figure out how to sort (it's probably a really obvious setting that I'm just missing).
Emails only ever seem to download a very basic preview of what the message is and then give the annoying "click to download the rest of this message" option.
Is there any way to bypass this? So emails are automatically downloaded in full, ready to read?

Change Message download limit to Entire Message.

Dont seem to have the option with hotmail.. Is this right?

I would be also happy to know how to do that with Hotmail. This option is available however doesnt matter what I set there because everytime I select "Download entire message", click "Ok" and then want to reassure if it is set I see just the default values. I could change it just in case of POP3 access but when I am using Hotmail I dont know hot to set it. Maybe I should set Hotmail via POP3 but than I couldnt use "Push email"...

Automatically download pictures in emails

hello peeps, just want a quick tip please..
When viewing emails on my TP2 i get an 'internet pictures blocked click here' link.... anyone know how to download the pictures automatically without having to click the link all the time ?
Also if anyone knows how to do the same for the 'tap here to scroll right' link that'd be great.

this is a very small issue but it sure is an annoying one for me . there always seems to be some kinda problems when i hit download, tells me i have to wait for the next full download for that email account, which i think is silly because i hit download for it to download now, not later lol you know what i mean, other times it seems to just go into a endless loop asking me to download then telling me to wait and then asking me again to download, rinse and repeat lol.....
There's gotta be a reg edit out there or something that can do it!!!
Any pros out there wanna take a whack at it?? I wouldn't even know where to start lmao.....thanks a lot!!!

If you delve a little deeper into your mail settings:
Tools>Options>Download Size Settings>
Make sure you enable Download Entire Message and also Download attachments

If you delve into your email you would see that this does not work for automatically downloading the pics in an email.

/BUMP\ Anyone with some light they wanna shed on this one ? looks like it aint just me getting a little bit annoyed with this hangup.

This is an age old problem with the WM email application dating farther back since WM5. There is still no fix available till date for this annoyance.

if the sender is in your 'my contacts' group in gmail (I can only speak on experience with gmail) it seems to work.
