Problems with alarms - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hello all
I had a 5:45 AM alarm which I unset but it is still going off. i have tried turning the phone off and on again, as opposed to a warm reset but to no avail.
Does anyone have a cab I can run to de-activate all alarms?
Thanks

Don't know of a cab here that will do this - could be wrong.
I think it might be worth your while investing a small amount in either Memmaid or SKtools. These apps allow you to clear the notifications queue and also to select any duplicate alarms/notifications. Quite how these duplicates get created is a good question.
Memmaid:
http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Enhancements/MemMaid-supports-WM5-5047.shtml
This has a trial I think so you might get away with not paying (though I think it limits to 6 items on any one run in the trial) Does lots of other clean up stuff as well.
OR
Sktools

If this is still available for free, check for scarybear's checknotifications.
BTW, Globox, you should hang around here more often. This is a very common problem.

You want to have the bluetooth shortcut on the today screen?
If you'r running O2 plus, under the "applications" tabs it can be done.
Click on O2 plus icon in today screen
Click on applications tab
Click on add button
Find bluetooth under the settings list
Done
If you'r not running O2 plus, sorry can't help ya

I think he wants to remove it entirely? I dunno, trying to figure out the posts in this place is pretty hard sometimes.
It would be pretty cool to remove that icon though, since phonealarm duplicates all the functionality I need from it.

That is easy. Do a backup (or registry backup only), whip up that friendly regeditor and locate the string "BTIcon" using a search function or walk there manually, it is in HKLM\Services\BTIcon. Remove the entire BTIcon branch and there you are.
This is coming from memory, hence the strong suggestion to do a BACKUP!

Getting the Rotate icon back

I wonder if there is anyway to get the rotate screen icon back in to the tray on the Hermes?
You can use Spb Pocket Plus.
With this program installed you can hold where OK button is and get the option Rotate left and Rotate right.
Thanks for that tip, but I don't like SPB Plus.
What I was really after was a reghack.
Anyone?
Coercri,
You're not the only one who wants this icon back.
I had a wizard but after a upgrade the icon rotation of the WLAN was gone.
So if there is anyone who knows how to get this back we would very grateful.
Cheers,
Drifter
phmkeys and traylauncher are your friends, vijay555 also has a software that can do that. The only reason I use phm software is cause I was using them since before, but vijay is a pretty active member on the forums so using his software has many advantages. And best of all they hardly use any resources, do a search around for either set.
No one with an answer for a registry tweak?
Cheers,
Drifter
I tried copying across ScreenRotate_Service.dll and ScreenRotate_Service.dll.0409.mui from the Windows folder of my WM5 Himalaya, and imported the registry settings for the service, but I can't get it to work. This is the service which creates the rotate icon in the tray, and isn't present on my Hermes, so I think I'm heading in the right direction. Maybe someone can find the solution?
I think it has to do with the service not loading at startup, but I'm not sure how to fix this with my limited knowledge...
I readed ther's an application at address

but I'm not able to open this page!
Someone can post here the application please?

Auto Soft Reset App needed

This was mentioned here before but I can't find any reff to it.
I need a small app that can automaticaly soft reset my Wizard at a predefined time (like 6am each morning). At the moment I have SBP Backup set to run at 6am each morning but I need a smaller simpler sollution?
ViJay? anyone else?
Thanks
Jules
I remember there being a lot of discussion, but can't recall if a final app was ever made.
I suggest using my VJEschaton to soft reset. Combine that with an app that let's you make entries in the notification queue, eg Memmaid or SKTools, and assign it to launch VJeschaton with softreset, no confirmation, at 6am.
Let me know if you get a puff of smoke

Seems like a software bug to me. It didn't affect the notification area and the nav.
Probably sothing to do with the video controler?
Really weird

Try a factory reset and see if that solves it. You already have an RMA on the way so you might as well test different possible solutions.
You see looking at the picture, I thought it didn't affect those areas too... but I swore it did. I think it was just more visible on the drop down area. Of course I cannot remember now since it is gone...

Ringtone issue

I've checked through the search button of this forum and couldn't find any other topic for the issue I'm experiencing.
When I lower my ringtone to zero and set it in vibration mode or Do not disturb, randomly the ringtone jumps to +1, which is very annoying, especially when this happens during the night that I set it to Do not disturb, and I hear mobile ringing on my bedside table.
Did anyone have the same issue? If yes, how did you fix it?
I know that probably I will solve it with an hard reset, but I would leave it as last option.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I had, and have deleted all the presettings, but they were all unabled.
Yesterday I've deleted few apps(especially one that I'm sure had something to do with a similar issue I had) and left the phone without any case overnight, and magically it didn't do it.
Now I would need to understand if the issue was due to the apps I've uninstalled or to the case.
Will keep you posted
Unfortunately the app wasn't causing the issue, so I've just finished an hard reset.
Will try to keep it as clean as possible and installing just few apps in a day, so I can monitor the behavior.
