In the "non-official" imate JasJar ROM releases, there is an option under Phone Settings->Caller ID to show your caller ID to "Only My Contacts". I "downgraded" to the official Jasjar release, and now I only have two options: "No One" and "Everyone".
Anyone know how to get the third option "Only My Contacts" back (without having to flash an entirely different rom?).
Thanks!
it prolly requires the version of pocket outlook in wm6. so no luck. just don't downgrade :¬)
My friend has a DASH running WM5 and he has that feature. I wonder if it's a reg tweak that can enable it. I would love to have this on my official TM ROM.
caller id question
is there any app or reg hack that would let you see the operator from another mobile phone, ie a call comes in from your friend that has Cingular and it shows up as "your Friends #" and the operator from which he is using?

Hello,
I have noticed with the new firmware (v0034) Jabra is no more storing ln the "Call List" incoming international call correctly. Indeed, the + sign is missing preventing the user from dialing the international entry from the "Call List". I'm wondering if someone in the comunity has experienced this "regression" (the International phone numbers were correctly handled in the v0032 firmware)
Thanks for your feedbacks,
Zak.
Yes, this is a known problem. As far as I know this update has only been offered on the Jabra US website. All site still offer the 0032 version which does show the + sign.

The new thing in this update is that you can now set your device to vibrate when you are using any ringtone other than "from phone"

HI every one,
I use to have a audiovox SMT5600 and a 2125/faraday and both phones had the feature under the phones setting to "send caller ID to contacts only" or something of that nature.
On my Wizard (8125) when I go under phones settings Caller ID properties that feature is not there.
I was wondering if the TyTn ( cingular 8525 (i think)) has that feature.
Would some one be so kind enough as to check for me ?
TyTN doesn't have this option... and I think no WM5 device has it.
Just noticed that this setting now appears in the AKU 3.3 ROM. Pretty cool.
Is there any programs for the pocket pc' that can block caller id's so your number doesnt show up on their caller id? Thanks
Settings->Phone
Services->Caller ID
press Get Settings.
This feature is based on the network you're using... Your network provider will have to allow the use of this in order for it to work...
Along with the OP's question, Is there a way to change what settings are offered? I'm on Cingular....When I was using Faria's 3.2 I was able to select between 3 options...show to all. show to contacts. never show.
Now that I am using Molski's 2.26, I only see...show to all. never show. Is this a ROM version thing or is there a way to get the extra option?
On my old regular cell (T616), I had blocked my # and then used *31# on my contacts, however with the wizard when those people call, they come up unknown. Royal PITA. So I would like to have my number shown to people in my contacts so that I don't have to fudge my numbers anymore.
Hi,
Has anybody had problems with special phone numbers like "99" (two digit phone number)
At my office were are using "office GSM" and to dail our reception we dail 99
But HTC windows mobile 5 does not work, the phone displays a dialog "UNKNOWN APPLICATION"
Have anyone seen this?
Or, maybe someone has seen it and found a solution?
Anyone?
Can I maybe change the dailer application?
If yes, where can I buy/download such one?
Can I use the one from WM6, roumor says that WM6 works
Maybe its conflicting with your speeddial as that allows up to 99 quick dial numbers.
Try saving a new contact called reception and with a phone number of 99 then add it under speeddial as entry number 99. Then when you dial 99, it will actually dial 99.
I tried that, but the same "error" still pops up.
Strange is however that if you dail any number between 1-29 it tries to dail.
but 30 or higher (<100) does not work and gives the error "unkonwn application"
I called HTC europe support and they could also see this. One funny thing was that the support guy tried the same on a WM6 rom cooked TyTN device and here it worked , but as he said -"if you do this, your warranty goes away.."
Hello,
I have a cingular 8125 and when I get a call, I get the caller ID number (If I have the number in my phone book, the phone will display the caller name as it shows in my Phone book).
I also have a Sony Ericsson Z520a and when I put my SIM in it, I also see the Caller name when I get a call (the infoemation is sent by the operator) enven If I don't have the caller in my phonebook.
The operator is F!d0, they do send to caller's number and name. I am just wondering if anybody has the same service and is able to get it on the Wizard 100.
I never got the name to be displayed on the wizard either when it had the original Cingular WM5 roms or with the TNT WM 6.1 roms.
Thanks
this is a really good question i hope someone will be able to give u some answers
