Ok, im using my TyTN, running the Vanilla WM6. I get a Email from my work(saying it detects im using their exchange server to get my work email on my WM5 device and i will need a upgrade for Daylight Savings Time) so i never got to download the .CAB in my work email, the link is now dead.
I then got a text from Cingular saying i need a Daylight Savings Time upgrade and to go to Cingular.com/DST2007. so i went and followed the instructions and downloaded and installed the .CAB and restarted. Now my "G" icon at the top has changed to the WiFi icon. I do not like this and am not in a 3G spot at the moment so i dont know what icon is there in that case. Either way, i dont like this icon, i liked the G and 3G icons included in the Vanilla WM6. Who wants to help me get them back?

That icon appeared on my Tytn yesterday for several hours, then suddenly dissapeared. I never applied the update.

I don't believe that this is because of the update. Its the ROM. This vanilla rom was hacked up. This is why Lyphur is using his version for .2 which will be out tonight
try enabling wifi then turning it back off...works for me! it does that randomly when i reset

i just get OBEX FIle transfer and nothing else
ive hunted through the XTNDConnect settings and it says it provides them services but it doenst seem to be working.
Can anybody provide any tips.
Im currenty working on XP SP1 but will be working with 2k eventually
the xda is running the latest upgrade from o2
i want to be able to browse all of my computer network and connect to the internet via gateway..so basically just add my pocketpc as another machine on the network if thats possible

Ive tried installing widcomm software on the 2000 pc and it wont work,
ive updated widcome on the xda to 1.5.0 still says it cannot find any services
ive got some connections in network places but if i try to set em to "connect" they dont work, however whist it is trying to connect i can add Lan access using PPP on my xda.. not that it actually does anything.
Still not working
When I try to unisntall the program because it contains some seriouis bugs in combination with the magician, it just keeps on going with the microsoft turning icon, nothing happens. I have to do a soft reset to be able to work with the magician again, and then pbt is still on it.

Never mind, problem solved. After waiting a very long time before soft resetting, the todayplugin part of PBT was gone. After that it still was in the software list, but after removing it again it is now completly gone. (aswell as my active sync via bluetooth )

i think u r using the wrong version of pbt
try using the Version 1.0.1.2 (Installation through Windows PCs)
it works like a charm on my o2 mini
the higher versions r not as stable as this one
But what's the point of using this software? I was told it enable BT Activesync but I found I can do that w/o this software now.

Thats true, I had it working twice without it, (on my 1.01 and 1.06 rom) and with the 1.11 rom I didnt feel like going through it all again, with PBT it worked instantly. Thnx for the tip btw, will try it now
edit: Installed it, works immediately again. I hope the bugs are gone now...

Does anybody have a clue if the color of the bluetooth sign can be changed. Or is it available somewhere as a file, so I can change it for myself ?
Edited : I found a file "bluetooth.bmp" in the windows directory, which might be the one used, but it is a two color bitmap, so even if I could change it, I would still see nothing on a white background.
Anybody any clue ?

Hello, is it possible for us to find this Wireless today screen plugin? From what I see it is part of tthe ROM you installed, could we find it as a cab file perhaps and install it in Qtek ROMS?

I know the following :
-it was not available in older ROM's (it is in the latest iMate ROM f.e.)
-it is not installed by the ExtRom, as I do not have it installed at all
-it can be disabled by ExtRom, as some other threads here have explained
In those threads the reg-hacks are told to place it back on the TodayScreen. But I guess it is not so easy to give You a .cab
After I saw what Member (ey99070) was able to do with the Date, by disconnecting it, and making a new one called TodayTime, saving space, I guess somebody will come with a new one here as well, showing in less space the status of the WiFi, the Bluetooth and maybe even something else.
Sorry for not being able to provide a .cab. Maybe somebody else has better information and can help You out.

i currently have a normal today screen that shows date and time and all the normal stuff.. but there is one thing im dying to have ... yet its so simple.. i want to have the part of this today screen where it says Tmobile UK Wififf and Bluetooth: off.. is there any way i can have that added to my today screen?

The above pops up sometimes on its own, as well as generally when I get an alert for a new text or the like. But my Google Account is already synced and seems to be in working order for the apps that need it. And when I click through on the above to try and log in, nothing happens.
Any thoughts as to what is causing it, and how to fix it? Been having this issue for about a week now (which induced me to try and upgrade...was not pleased with the experience, so I reverted to my most recent backup, and the problem is thus still there.
I'm not running sac's rom, but I heard there is a fix for that error in the rom thread. Do a search for google sign in error in the rom thread.

From a computer check your Google account setting to verify that two factor authentication is turned off.
