My Motorola phone has the greatest feature where it sounds an alert every min or so if I have missed a call or message, until I dismiss it.
Anyone know of a small app or other way to get the Hermes to do this.
Thanks for any help.
Give PocketMax PhoneAlarm a try. Apart from its repeating alarm functionality it also gives you the option of Profiles again soothing missing in the operating system.

There's eve a free version called Phonealarm Lite and it still has all the alarm features as the pay package.
I just set under sounds and nottifications under the missed call tab to the sound of my choice and repeat.
So basiacly I now get a small shirp that beeps every second until I check it.
You can't pick the interval with using the defualt, but it is better than nothing.
I have never installed PhoneAlarm Lite so I cannot comment.
However on the full version you can set the duration after which the missed call, e-mail, SMS, etc sounds would repeat.

Yes I had done this but I don't have the option to repeat - it is greyed out, so it only plays once. Wonder why you have it?

The Lite version does the exact same thing, however, it's not actually free as I posted above. Apparently I was having a "senior moment" .
Thanks for the suggestions.
Tried Phone Alarm Lite which does what I want but it has just too much stuff. Really don't want my Today screen messed with.
I would have thought something very simple would be easy to create and very popular. As mentioned the options are ALMOST already in the OS
When I see some of the ridiculous progs that people write I can't believe that no one has turned their attention to this. (e.g. Menstural Cycle Calculator so you know when not to invite your gf for a swim!)
Damn. So close yet so far...
Found what seemed to be the perfect app but I can't get it to work on my Hermes.

Guess I'll just nave to keep looking
You could try Pocket Zen Phone:
http://www.pocketzenphone.net/PZPForum/index.php
I think this can be used with just an icon in the tray, and supports repeating alarms.
I haven't used it for ages myself, but you could try it.
Thought I would start a new thread on this project
I have taken KingFetty's app and modified it to have more functionality.

That is great to have this kind of program

thanks,
Ron1n are you still working on this?
There are a few people after this and the link in your sig is down. Any chance of
putting a new link up?
Cheers for all your work on this app I look forward to using it.
Rochey
sry, there's big confusion with that app now - which one is that new one?
will be newer one?
it seems to be useful thing imo...
I have not been updating it recently but I may have a newer one than my last post. I will update the link shortly, my domain is being renewed today and should be up by tomorrow. If you have any suggestions for updates, let me know.

Can your notification be set to be repeating so you keep getting reminded of the missed call? Reason I ask is I use TodayAgenda and the entries do not appear to show up right away.
Cheers For the Link!
Cheers for the link Ron1n.
I have had some problems with your version (callcalendar2). I am getting multiple entries for for phone calls and also some of the phone calls are saying that they have lasted for 12-15 hours.
I have now reverted back to the original callcalendar.
If there is anything you would like me do (testing or get logs or something) then I would be happy to help.
Hopefully speak soon.
Rochey
This is a great application.
On my Touch it seems to work fine. I would have a couple of additional options if possible:
1. I would like to be able to hide the 1st screen that pops up on boot. This boot screen is really irritating as sometimes it lingers for ages as other processes execute in the background. If I could avoid it altogether with a registry entry...
2. I would like missed calls to be added to the calendar with a configurable forward time. So if I miss the call it will pop up in 5 minutes and remind me that X called. Another registry option would be great...
Apart from this it seems to work really well.
Kind Regards,
Sam.
Is there a way to donate?
Any news R0N1N?
Hi ya R0N1N, any news on the newer version of your app?
I look forward to it.
Rochey
it will be nice if you could give the option to add or not the call/number to calandar..
instead of have it automaticly add to the calandar.
by the end of the day my calendar look like I have meeting till the nest year.

Has anyone found the solution for this problem?
I went back to the original version... it works great
Does anyone have a download link that works for the latest version of CallCalendar2?
I definitely second that. I love this app and din't even know there was a version 2 until I saw this thread.
this is a great program every since i've found out bout it i've installed it hope the creator doesn't mind me postin the cab back up
Hmmm - I still get calendar appointments that are 1 hour out
Are any of the dev guys who wrote this code around anymore?
EDIT: It seems like it's caused by the TimeZone updates MS released lately... Looks to do with the application not looking at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\TimeZones.
Thanks for the repost. Much appreciations.
Hi all,
I've rebuilt the original CallCalendar app by KingFetty in VS2008 (with hopefully a bug fix or two) and using .Net 3.5 framework.
See how you go with this
What makes this version different from the one posted a few posts up? Any changes?
Is it possible to make a version that would run as a process or service? Available versions are visible in task managers(under applications), also in QuickMenu, and I hate that...
Hi,
I've just finished work on an app for windows mobile that allows you to view the status of your friends on xbox live.
It's an actual app, rather than a web browser pretending to be an app, that shows an iPhone style list of all your friends gamertags. It allows you to see whos online, what game they are playing, what they are doing in that game, their gamer picture and gamer score.
Version 1.2.1.0
Features Added:
* Notification auto closes after 10 seconds
* Notifications have a button to take you to application for further details
* Application will notify you when a new version is available for download.
Bugs Fixed:
* Fixed memory leak
* Performance inprovement for scrolling
* Performance improvement to startup time
* Fixed problem with touch sensitivity on VGA devices
* Improved icon for VGA devices
* Minor tweeks
Version 1.2.0.0
This update adds an online notification system. Now when your friends come online you will get a Notification pop up to tell you whos just come online.
Features Added:
* Can run in background
* Auto refreshes GamerTags status, using configurable refresh interval
* Generates Windows Mobile Notifications when friends come online
* Notifications can be Enabled or Disabled
* Useability enhancements.
Version 1.0.1.2
Bugs Fixed:
Fixed startup bug, which occured on some devices
Fixed VGA QVGA display problem
Version 1.0.1.0
Features Added:
Trial mode added allowing users to test out the application.
The application requires .net 2.0, so if you are using anything thats older than windows mobile 6 you will need to download and install .net compact framework 2.0 or higher from Microsoft here
Attached is a screen shot. For more information or to download my app please go to my site: http://www.fehnerssoftware.co.uk
finally a gamer has the need.. just like me
thanks bud.. downloading it right freakin now.
Edited
ohhh wait...
i would have to see it in action before i spent a dime.. sorry mate
this would be really cool if i didnt have to buy. At least let me try it first, to see I its worth it. Funny the app store for the iphone have very good xbox friend apps all for free.
I've been dying for someone to develop a true WinMo app for XBL friends list. I'm excited to try it, but do wish there was a demo. will there be game stats and messaging integration?
Well I would suspect iPhone owners paid for it, so why not cough up- if you want it?
I'm going to have to agree with the "try before you buy" feeling going on here.
At least take a video showing how the app works on your own phone please.
Although this would be an awesome app, I have been looking for a program or script that sends me an sms whenever a specific friend is on XBox Live so I can join up, any one heard of something that does that?
Hi all,
Thank you for the positive response
I've taken on board all your comments and aim to produce a limited feature trial version, which will allow you to try it out before committing to a purchase.
I will post back here when I have made the updates.
Iphone people got it for free Micosoft stepped in and made the company give the application for free

ya i like that.. if you remember way back in the day the original xbox and orignal xbox live did that.. sent an sms, and IMed you on msn..
I like the idea of the app. But it doesn't seem to do enough for me to pay for it. I mean.. there are much more useful apps on this site(and others) for the ppc that are free.
I tip my hat to you sir. Nice looking app. You have inspired me to work on an open source version for myself.
Version 1.0.1.0 - trial mode
Hi again,
I have now updated my site with version 1.0.1.0 of my xbox live friends status app.
Version 1.0.1.0, will run in a trial mode while un-registered, so you can try it out. It is limited to displaying two gamer tags.
Hopefully this will give you a feel for the app.
For more information or to download my app please go to my site: http://www.fehnerssoftware.co.uk/mygamertags.shtml
Nice! I was waiting for something like this. Going to try it out.
Thank you!

Hmm strange I know of a number of people now using this without issues.
What device are you using? Are you running this on a windows mobile phone?
Any chance you could scroll down on the details screen for the error so I can see the full call stack?

It seems the way I get the devices unique serial number is not working for your device. I have an idea of how to get this working on your device.
I'll get working on it
Thanks.
I've put up a new level on my site which should fix the crashes on startup some people were experiencing.
Please let me know if it you experience any problems.
Thanks.
ok...
i did get this one to install and run...
however i have an issue.
you have it set to simply look up gamertags.. which is cool... however, I, like thousands of others, have set up my profile so that only friends can see if the person is online.
so genericly putting in gamercards wont work for me as i wont really know who is online..
unless the app can see its ME looking..
for example... I put in my gamertag.. and it said i was offline... but i wasnt, however if your not on my friends list.. i appear offline.
and i dont remember if it did or not, but i dont think it said what game they where playing.. again if you do fix it so i can see my friends online, if i cant see what game they are involved in.. its no good as well.
i gave you alot of negative, which is ****ty of me..
so i do want to say from what i can see it looks awesome.

His problem is the change to the Wintertime. Since them the clock always is one hour later.
I have the same problem and no solution .

Well they're slightly different because of the HTC Sense and the Windows version, but in the Mini the steps are:
Settings/Menu/All Settings\Personal\Phone\GSM/UMTS Services and then scroll down and you'll see "Time Synchronization". Tap there and then "Get Settings".

I have an issue with the clock as well... Ai just got the phone yesterday.
Actually, during the day at the office, the time changes several time by one hour forward... so suddenly after the time was OK in the morning, around 5 PM it showed 11 PM. What do I need to change so the time stays the same? (in the night it went back by one hour, so the alarm woke me up one hour earlier than it should have...wrrr ;-)
BSB tweaks
I am using BSB tweaks, there is option Auto sync clock - just switch off this parameter, it working perfectly. Milan
Actually, when I am at home and have athe autosync on, the time does not change. As soon as I am moving around, the time changes (even though the auto sync is off then). It seems that it changes when the network changes while moving around. When travelling in roaming this weeknd, the time moved forward by 26 hours in just one hour while travelling in a bus.

Thanks, but that's the same solution posted above. What we are trying to fix now is how can we have the time sync activated
bagalk, mine hasn't gone that far, but is definitely a nice bug from HTC. I wonder it the clock will work properly when they change the time again in March or April
solution
As a colleague was having the same problem I looked around for a solution. Having found nothing that appeared to work I looked to the HD2 which runs a similar software setup. This is what I found (I can't post the URL so must simply copy & paste from the original page)
Hey kids
This was irritating me too, I assumed it was not a phone issue but, I contacted HTC yesterday & their reply is as follows, there are 2 steps to perform. I did this last night & so far the phone has been perfect:
*
*
Dear Stuart
This is not a fault with the device or its software, your device updates its time automatically from the Internet and from your mobile provider.
Occasionally there is a difference in the time from the Internet and the time from your provider which can cause the time to appear to be changing when it should be the same.
Normally this will resolve itself within a few days, however, this is very inconvenient so we recommend to disable any automatic time updates on your device.
This will not effect your sync with other things like Exchange and similar
From the Home screen tap:
Start - Settings - Data services - Time synchronization - Untick all here.
AND
Start - Settings - Menu - All settings - Personal/Private - Phone - GSM & UMTS Services - Time synchronization - Get settings - Untick all here.
Sincerely,
Adrian

Hello Dear
there is same problem whit manila weather background ! when it goes dark, weather background dos not change, that shows sun instead moon...??
there's an update on the HTC official mini support page, it supposedly fixes the problem with daylight saving. haven't tried it yet though
So, the chumby service shutdown recently. It was great for us b/c we had a screen in the kitchen rotating through weather, google calendar agenda for that day, and other useful day to day information. Now it is gone. I would like to setup my Nex7 to do this. I've googled around for something like this, but no luck.
All it has to do is activate a different app from a list of selected apps and then 30s activate the next app in the list.
I'm sure this could be accomplished with an automation app such as tasker/automatit/llama. If that is what it takes I'll go down that path, but I'm hoping something already exists.
Thanks

I have never heard of chumby but I bet that is possible. I can't find any know app that do that and a tasker sounds like a possibility. maybe you could look through the forums to see if someone has made that but hasn't put it on the play store.
