In Settings/Connections/Beams check "Recieve all incoming beams". That's usually the case.
that is usually the problem, but why do i always have to check that option?
is it possible to change it for always in the registry ?
is ur bluetooth on? u have to put a tick to turn bluetooth on. dont think so there is a registry hack for it not that i know of any
thank u guys... now i can receive files via Bluetooth....
can't receive
i am having the same problem though i have already checked the box receive all incoming beams... i have already formatted my xda 2 but still can't receive any though i can send files to other devices.. please.. help..

Hi!
I just got my xda2 yesterday and I'm having problems sending and recieving MMS messeges. Whenever I try to send them they never go though and it tries 3 times before aborting. Also I don't recieve MMS messeges properly either. If I try to send a MMS messege to my xda2 from another phone then I get a SMS messege from o2 saying to goto their website to view the picture.
I've tried playing around with the options in the Media Messeging program such as changing the Connect Via: option but without any success.
Any help would be much appricated
Contact O2 customer services & ask them to enable MMS support on your SIM card. That is the reason why you are not recieving the actual message & only getting the SMS alert as your SIM isn't on the N.A.P.
Spot on, that's what I had to do when I got my XDAII. It took about 10 mins for mine to be enabled.
If that doesn't work, then get them to replace the device...when I first got mine they tried to give me a reconditioned one in a "mixup"...in the end I kept it til I demanded they give me a new one....they did!
Cheers

Hello everyone
I have got a brand new Wizard / qtek 9100 and i must say that i surely loves it. But i have a strange problem
My Girlfriend has a Nokia 7650 and we used to beam file to each others with bluetooth during the day. Yesyterday i when just find out that i can't send her a single picture. As soon as i try it says that it is waiting and her phone beeps and ask her to accept the file from me. As soon as she is answerring yes on her phone my phone shows sending 1/1 and after around 2 secounds it says failed. I've pinpointed it to be a timeout maybe that the nokia is a little slew to answer to the packets being send or the Wizard is a bit too restrictive for the timings. If i send a very small file (ex. 100 bytes) it sends it ok and it arrives on the Nokia but as soon as the file is ex. 30kb it times out. If i send to my desktop computer it sends fine so i think it is a timeout problem.
Now to the questrons. Is there any registry keys where i can make the timeoutperiod a little longer og maybe decrease the packetsizes being send so that it wont time out.
Another problem i have is that the device is unable to recieve anything as long as the screen is turned off and it goes to sleep. My old XDA II / Qtek 2020 was able to recieve files in this state so is there any registry hack to overcome that.
Thank you in advance.

what program are you trying to send the files with, i've used resco explorer and it seems to be ok.
i've also noticed this, the other device is able to see my kjam but not send anything to it while the screen is off. i'd also like to be able to change the name the bluetooth shows without having to change my name in my info. guess we'll have to wait for a rom upgrade
Hello again
Thank you for replying
I send files with the build ind beam feature in WM5.0 I also tried to download Resco File Explorer 2005 to see if it brought me any luck but this doesn't do the trick. It fails just at the same point as with the builtin API. I then try to hard reset the unit to see if it will do the trick but that was a completly waste of time. It still fails.
The nokia phone supports OBEX obejct push so it really should work but it fails everytime. I have tried two different Nokia 7650 but with the same result. Both phones however send fine to my computer like my Qtek 9100 does. Can anybody tell me what is going on here.

that might be the problem then, as far as I know the wizard doesn't support obex push, only standard obex file transfer. pain I know, just pray for an update
But why am I able to send a file as long as it just takes up a few bytes then? Also why are my girlfriend able to send me files if they don't support the same profiles??

not sure, i can receive files from my g/f k750i (only if my screens on tho) but if i try and send her a file she gets a message saying "do you want to allow xxx to access your data" or somthing along those lines on her screen and you have to go through the pairing before you can send anything. the bluetooth on the wizard isnt the best at the mo, i just hope these features get added or someone hacks together the widcomm bluetooth stack
hi all im a virgin to this xda mini so please go easy on me
problem im having is that when my mini is running o2 software i cant get incomming bluetooth like files etc.
it works fine with blue tooth car kit & gps but if i try and send something to the pda from say another phone it simply says blue tooth connection failed ive tryied every thing 2 hours on the phone to o2 tech the lot
so i have now done a hard restart then when it boots up with the o2 stuff i did a soft restart this seems to make the pda work somuch faster.
now i dont have any problems with the bluetooth but i dont have any options to send stuff via mms ive tryied all the settings etc but no joy
i think im maybe missing the whole mms programme ?

Yep, you are missing a cab to set up the MMS account etc. This has been asked and answered a few times before, try a search.
Good luck

Hi All,
Just bought XDA Orbit from ebay, everything works great except I can't send/receive data using Bluetooth. It will allow me to pair with devices, but when I try to send or receive anything then it just says “Failed” Can someone please suggest anything, i've tried a hard reset but still the same.
Thanks in advance.

Found it
"Receive all incoming beams" needs to be selected!
I don't know what Microsoft were smoking when they thought that up
Thanks for the help every-none
Hello, as the title explains I cannot send MMs's even though I have already contacted O2 to send the settings to my phone, I have sent ACTIVE to 2020 as well & nothing comes back?
My phone is a HD2 which was unlocked from T-mobile to O2, it was 'sim locked' to T-mobile but now i can send messages & receive them without any problems also make & send calls as well as access the internet.
But for some reason I cant send MMS's
Another problem is the Bluetooth feature?, I can find other devices no problem but am unable to send anything at all to these found devices? I can send things to my HD2 phone without any trouble?
Any help would be appreciated
