yahoo
there is no yahoo messenger for pocketpc
java yahoo messenger
there was once a java version of yahoo messenger with (i think with the .jar file extension) name that was available for download some years back.it could run on any system with a java interpreter of which the pocket PC is one of them. If this java only version of yahoo messenger can be found some where on the internet it will definately work on the XDA. while i still embark on my quest to find that java-yahoo messenger, i currently use Agile messenger. It's an all-in-one IM client for Yahoo!, MSN, AOL , ICQ.
here's the URL for agile messenger

HI
Is it possiable to view a webcam image with MSN Messenger for pocket pc using Mobile 2003se.
I have looked at the tools option within the MSN Messenger software currently running om my XDA II with Mobile 2003se, & can find no option to receive a webcam call or sound?
Having searched the net on this issue, I have found mention of a program called Microsoft Portrait which appears to give this function to MSN Messenger, but although this is a microsoft product, which is currently downloadable, I am a little reluctant to try as it's dated 2004 ver 2.3.
I have also looked at upgrades for MSN Messenger for Mobile 2003se & there is a site which will upgrade the product via Activesync, but with no listing of what features are available, or version No. to check against.
(Is it actually possiable to identify version of MSN Messenger running under 2003se in some way?)
Has anyone gone through this route before who can help me?
Hello
does anyone know if there is an application to turn the HD into a webcam ?
To use with skype or MSN.
Thanks.
I don't believe you can use the phone as a webcam for msn or skype, I don't think the mobile versions support that. However, if i've mis understood you and you want to use the cam for PC msn or skype, then check out ATEKSOFT web Camera Plus. It's a fantastic program which will allow you not only to use the phone as a webcam over activesync, but you can do it over wifi too with an IP connection.
See what you think.
