hey. my MDA recently broke. I was sent a new one and i'm about done re-tweaking.. the one reg hack i forget is this.. when i delete messages (texts, emails, etc) it moves them into the "deleted messages" folder, making me have to delete the message(s) twice. How do i hack my phone so when i delete a message it's permently deleted, instead of it being send to the deletion folder?

Hi im a new member of the forum.
I have had my XDAII for a year now and i needed to restore my data after a hard reset using xbackup.
I thought that restoring restores everything that was backed up, but no. My inbox has my sms messages shown but i cannot open them to read; i cannot even delete them. My messages show up with out an envelope on the left hand side of the list.
Can anyone either tell me how to get my messages back or get rid of my old messges, as i have tried to delete them, but no joy; i have also tried select all and delete but only to delete my sms messages recieve since restoring.

HI there - I know you wrote about your sms deletion issue back in 2005 but did you ever get a reply? I have the same issue, with a selection of items in the Inbox, Outbox and Deleted folder, which just wont go, doesn't matter what I do. Just wondered if you managed to fix the issue?

I can not delete some of my e-mail messages from my PPC that I sync from my outlook (but the desktop shows these messages as deleted). Also some of my text messages can not be deleted on my PPC.
The common feature of these e-mail and text messages is the "envelope" icon to the left of the message is missing. When I try to open, move, delete these messages, nothing happens.
These messages are eating up my PPC memory. I know that the database file must be corrupt and I should delete some but which ones ?
Please help !!

Hello all,
I have a couple of filters setup where by messages are automatically filtered to this folder or that.
I cannot figure out if there is a way to get alerted when those folders receive new messages.
My Start Screen shows "X" number of new messages but that is only for the "Inbox".
Any ideas?

Hello, when I try to send a new text message, it won't be send. It become a draft in my outlook "Drafts" Folder.
I can only send text messages by replying already received messages.
Does someone know a solution?

Well, i tried a Soft-reset.
When you make a new text message do you create it from within the text message folder or the outlook folder ????
if you do it from the outlook folder you are creating an e-mail instead of a text message

when you reply to txt msgs it usually sends them back through the msg centre that sent them. when you send new ones, it uses your msg centre to send them. go into Phone > Menu:Options > Services and 'Get Settings' for Voice Mail and Text Messages. Make sure you have got the correct phone number for service centre (these instructions are for WM5 but i except its quite similar for WM2003)
I've got a strange, small and annoying problem with my outlook. In my Text Messages I've got two folders with the names Inbox, Outbox and Send items. (Deleted Items and Drafts are only mentioned once.)
I can't remove one of the copies with Manage Folders, since the delete option is greyed out for both folders.
Can somebody help to solve this issue? Thank you.
