"must-have" apps

I'm on the verge of buying a Qtek 2020i (the Andes).
In your opinion, which are the must-have apps for a smartphone like this?

It's not a Smartphone, if by that you mean an MS SmartPhone. If you mean a "smart phone" then yes, yes it IS smart.
I suppose no point listing the apps I consider must-have's if you're potentially talking about a different phone, but here goes:

WeatherPanel / SPB Weather
KitaraGenesis (don't like these SPB Diary / Pocketbreeze things that take up far more space on the today screen than is necessary)
Total Remote (mainly so I can get into work without having to press buzzers)
Conduits Pocket Player - fantastic!!!
SPB Pocket Plus and SPB GPRS Monitor
Tomtom Navigator 5
Phatware dbExplorer - very useful

3. Agenda Fusion PIM emhancement (DeveloperOne)

5. Active Print (enables wired and wireless printing direct from XDA via active sync direct to printer via USB or wi fi) (www.pocketwatchsoftware.com)

...i use pocketinformant2007, because it implements calender, agenda, contacts, notes & tasks all together. Plus you can change the sort appearence of contacts, like first name, last name...

Another vote for Pocket Informant. Have been using it since version 2.xx

Annoyance! Outlook keeps creating blank notes on calender appointments

I'm using pocketbreeze today calender plugin and from time to time I have notes with specific appointments. But I noticed that when i create the appointments in outlook with no notes specified, the Notes icon appears beside the appointment in Pocketbreeze.
This is VERY annoying. Does anyone know a workaround for this?

no, but I use SPB Diary and it has the same problem. Apparently its a Outlook 2007 thing they are trying to sort. SPB says the problem is there is actually data in the note, but its nothing you have created or can see. I guess we are waiting for new versions of Diary and Breeze.

Ya it's an annoying problem. Basically SPB would have to work around a bug the is obviously from outlook. I'm just updating my MS Office package right now so let's hope theres a patch in there for this problem.

same with SPB, apparently fixed in next version, in the meantime I've just turned off the notes icon on the today screen

Weather report without gprs

Hi guys!
First official post!;-)
I was wondering, and looking around on the board, but didn't find anything.
Since GPRS and other mobile internet is expense in Belgium, isn't there an application that loads the weather report for the next week, everytime you sync your Touch Dual (or whatever HTC...) to your PC/Laptop. That way, you wouldn't have to use GPRS
In my case it would drastically lower my gprs cost(since I sync every day!), and still have the eye candy

spb weather is decent. i used to get a 5 day forcast from the bbc website everytime i synced.

SPB Mobile / All day events

Hi you all, I'm using SPB Mobile and love it but I notice that in agenda view it don't show the all day events, like birthdays and other events.
Is it just me?
Is there any way to fix this?

It's the same for me... but unfortunately I do't know any way to fix it...

I recall this was mentioned on the Spb Forums as a feature request to add to Mobile Shell.
This feature is available on the Spb Diary product though.
