Noises coming from earpiece when placing a call. - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the noise that GSM phones cause to come through computer speakers if the phone is placed close to them. I am getting the same sound out of the earpiece when placing a call. Is this normal? After the call connects, I don't hear the sounds anymore. Anyone else experience this with an 8525?

I have heard it at random times as well but its very random... the only thing I notice is that it happens more often than not after I have woken the device up.

i get this occasionally with my 8525. it might happen more often than occasionally, but i'm in a 3G area 95% of the time and the interference doesn't occur with WCDMA. it seems to happen when i'm in a low signal GSM coverage area, probably due to the radio pumping out more power to stay in touch.
if it happened during calls i'd worry about it, but since it's only for a second or two during the call initiation i'm not too concerned.

is there a way to keep my GSM noise from being heard on the caller's end?

Hello all:
If this has been covered or solved elsewhere, could you please refer me to said thread? Anyway, I have a problem where my girlfriend's 8525 emits its own GSM noise into the call. I.E. you'll be talking to her, then suddenly you here the GSM interfeerance. It varries from mild, to annoyingly loud. Sometimes, it cuts out, then resumes after a minute or so. That is not consistent however. That phone used to be mine, so I noticed it coming through the earpiece, however it was too soft to bother me.
One more thing. I noticed that windows system sounds appear to be piped through to the caller as well. I'm thinking, that if there's some registry tweek to disable that, perhaps it will also prevent the GSM noise from being piped through. Just a suggestion.
By the way, this phone is sim and sid unlocked and has the HTC rom, V3.54.255.3, and radio V1.54.07.00. Thanks, gladly appreciate any help or suggestions.

GSM noise in earphone.

Dev phone got dropped yesterday. Now when placing or receiving a call you constantly hear gsm noise in the earphone.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Try sliding the screen over a little bit while you get the noise.

'Crossed line' during outgoing call in Android

Ok... I just experienced something which was very strange and quite worrying.
I initiated a call in android... got 5 seconds of silence followed by what sounded like garbled voices. My signal is always weak in this location so I assumed I was connected and could hear my friend talking..... so I began with the usual "hello, HELLO, Can you hear me?"....
THEN I heard the phone ringing (MY CALL HADNT BEEN ANSWERED YET)
Before and during some of the ringing sound, I could hear what I am certain was a human voice albeit very garbled and incomprehensible.
Is it at all possible that I got a 'crossed line'? Is that even possible in this day and age?
As my signal is usually weak here so I do sometimes get garbled audio especially while calling out - but this sounded very different and I am 99% sure it was a human voice.
Has anyone ever experienced anything similar under android on the hd2? or even under winmo? Would hate to think someone could be listening in to my conversations
anyone?
edit: radio+ROM= as per sig... build= hyperdroid v1.1
That's funny I was just speaking on my g1 and I use to get that dime times on my g1 so I am guessing its android thing maybe with there radios....or it could be ghost trying to communicate with you from the other side ...maybe Google collecting some more data LOL but if I was ever in that situation again I would battery pull immediately....

It's a somewhat common occurance, mobiles picking up other mobile phone calls...hasnt happened to me but was actually watching a show that talked about it recently.

lol......
Did you notice any black helicopters flying overhead during this time?
its how gsm works.. cdma each phone has its own identity.. with gsm before you connect to the call the connection to the tower is open, every phone is on the same channel.
you were probably hearing digital background noise. the actual voices you were hearing were probably your own being echoed back.

Poor call quality - does your phone suffer from this issue?

Hi there, with two separate LG g2 phones, I've had the same very issue where when placing calls, I get really bad noise coming from around the headpiece area of the phone. It sounds almost like the typical interference you would get when you place your phone next to a pair of speakers.
I've never experienced this in any phone before - ever. I'm just wondering does anybody here on the forums with the international version face this very same issue? To test it properly, start a voice call - you need to be in a very quiet room and there needs to be complete silence on the other end of the line (although you can still make it out slightly when a persons talking) Thanks.

Try a different SIM from a different carrier and place a call to a different phone, with a different carrier, in a different place.
If you have the same results, you've got yourself a bad phone. If not, at least you know who to blame: your carrier.
no i can honestly say i do not have any problems with call quality both in receiving and making calls,no noises in earpiece or headphones,no audio problems at all im on international model on 02 at the min i also use orange or ee sim in it as well and no faults,i do have all the silly settings like flip your phone and answer as you raise phone to ear stuff switched off ? anyhow thats how mine is -maybe a fault ?
I've noticed that the buzzing isn't always there (even on the same number) I think the phone only starts to make the noise when it's connected to cell tower via edge (2G) When the phone is connected to H+ tower, it's all gone

don't have this problem. why don't you go back to stock and see if it still exists? it it does, well, thats a bad phone. If not, thats the rom.

other end can't hear me, I'm on tmobile

So I've had this issue with several calls. One going to t-mobile, another to Verizon and another to a land line. All three said that I have constant call loss. All they hear is static, and my voice goes in and out. I was in my truck for two of the calls and in a home Depot for another. I can hear the caller on the other end, but they can't hear me. Anyone else have this issue and maybe a fix? Thanks.
Turn off VoLTE and see if it persists
Go to your phone - 3 dot menu top right corner - Call settings - VoLTE slider to off
We're you moving? Maybe slow transfer of towers. And also what other poster said.
Ya I went in and disabled volte, so far it has helped. I'll do some more calls and see if it's a good fix. Thanks.
Update, I turned off volte and I still have the same issue where they can't hear me on the other end.
Bad antennas and or mic. Try sim in another phone before exchange.

This, you may have a bad unit. I know mine did that issue a couple of times but I was in a bad LTE area and had VoLTE on.
So I found out why my phone calls kept getting really muffled. Apparently the way I hold my phone my pinky would cover the mic... So now I feel dumb, but I didn't think that the mic would get muffled this easily. So if anyone has the same problem watch your finger placed.
