Hi, I am looking for an update for my XDA from 2002 to 2003. I know it is possiable since I ahve seen an XDA with 2003 system.

The easaiest way is to visit

choose the 2003 Rom that suits you best - country etc.
add the programs that you want and cook a Rom to an .exe file.
Copy all your network settings down to paper.
Then run and install the new Rom and then replace all your settings.
It really is very straight forward I managed it and I am not overly technical.
I think the atoms mediaplus application looks like a great idea, does anyone know if it's possible to extract it from the atom and install it on other devices.

if it cames with your ROM, it's OEM version, you cannot uninstall it cleanly...
If you are talking about Windows Live Messenger which comes with wm6 ROMs, you can try to install a new version on the one which came with the ROM.
Before the installation, it will inform you that it has to uninstall the previous version.
Once you installed a new one, it will appear in the program list in settings tab, and then you'll be able to uninstall it from there.
I guess it came within my ROM, as you posted.
I'll get rid of it when upgrading to WM6.

I recently updated my nike to 6.1 from 6.0 with touchflo on and the "chat" style sms is absolutely doing my head in.
I want it back to the 6.0 style where you just have the texts on their own.
If someone could give me an idea of how to do this or a file that i can install to do it... or a link to the thread that had it in would be great thanks

It is very simple. Here is the post from the thread Tips & Tricks. All credits to @twolf.
I've done it on my WM 6.1 and it works perfectly.
You'll need to use a registry editor/explorer like the Resco's one.

I have currently not been able to install Manilla with any success at the moment, (I will not call me a hacker or a developer, just a basic user) and I have currently not seen a WM6.5 build for the Ipaq Data Messenger.
I have temporarily installed HTC Homescreen v.1.0 (since 2.0 didnt work) and LG Menus to gain most benefit to a touch friendly device.
Hoping there is other users here that has been more succesfull than me, if so, please post a message here.
