The comm manager is not skinned, AFAIK. HTC's ExtROM replaces CommManager.exe as part of the customization.
Update: This is done by the installation of the package P_Generic_UI.CAB.

Own the i-mate Jam...Using PHM PPC PowerToys TrayLaunch to put shortcuts on the Task Bar...noticed the Dopod 818 has the 'Memory' shortcut packaged in the original Simplified CH Rom...unable to find the file extension through the Jam's 'File Explorer' or 'explore' in Activesync...anyone knows if the extension is an .exe file and/or hidden file and where it is located?...Many ThanX!...Fantastic website!

You will have to execute the following file battery_OU_081304.sa.cab from the Dopod818_CHS_1.12.140 Ext_ROM. This will put the batery icon in the upper taskbar where normally the X button is. Also, this cab will create a memory icon in tray (bottom), which is actually a shortcut to the location you mentioned in your post. This cab just creates the file named battery.exe in \windows directory on your device. You can get the Ext_ROM at this ftp site.
Hope I helped.
Thank You SIR! Followed your instructions...works a treat!! I had spent hours looking for the file extension. You wouldn't happen to have any more valuable advice on how to add shortcuts to the Taskbar for Windows Media Player and Xetra's Bass & Treble without using third party software, would you? Thank you again for your assitance!
As Exec Man requested, posting the .cab. Enjoy!
shanghaishah: AFAIK it's not possible to add your own shortcuts to the tray without using a third party program.
To add shortcuts to any control panel setting, eg battery, bluetooth, memory blah blah, read this page:

Hello there!
I was searching the site for a way to replace the conn manager and dial pad from the kitchen before I cook it.
I have the touch conn manager and dialpad and every time I install it using a cab file and I end up with unwanted files on my windows folder making my BA drag a little.
If I simply delete the folder/files from the kitchen and add the cab as an OEM package will it work?
Thank you
Comm manager is in OEM\OEM_SAP folder all the registryes and files should be there (or you can remove the comm manager registryes and create a new oem package for it)
The dialpad works only as smart dialing skin, so you have to create new oem package for it or add it to existing one
Thanks xplode!
Right now I'm trying to export the registry using wince cab manager but my trial version won't do it.. so I need to do it by hand... :/
If I just delete the dialpad files and install it using the oem will it work?
A new theme-GeometriX...included are skins for pocket cm, dialer, cube, new menu and comm manager. Copy all file to windows, only the pocket cm file into program files-pocket cm. If you didnĀ“t before, remove at first the write protection of *.png- and *.brn-files in windows with total commander. Mark all files, right click on properties , unmark "read only". With a registry editor you must replace the biotouch.reg with my file (download) in HKLM/Software/HTC. After this the cube reads the windows files (before he took them from ext-rom).
Download here
thank you very much for you link
Yes, these are all very cool looking! Great job....
Edited the theme:
iMort-skin and welcomehead for non-prophet users also integrated.

i there any way to get that spiderman theme on my cube? i have the tilt running duttys 6.1 with the htc cube
As I say at the title, it's really weer that after i install a new skin, the screen will show "tap here to lauch touchflo", but when i tap the screen, nothing happens. I do install the skin according to the instrcutions mentioned. I doubt whether there is a problem with the os?thks
I am having the same problem. I have to do a hard reset everytime I removed a skin.
If your running latest update of manila(18, not sure of 17), then the cab installs don't work. The image placements are slightly different which is why it can't find all the files and won't let you start it. Solution is to use the zip or m2dct files along with M2DC app to install your skins.
Not being able to find files that are removed during an uninstall will also cause touchflo to not be able to start.(post #2) Solution is to reinstall the original files or another theme that replaces the missing files.
