I upgraded the ROM on my XDA II from 1.60.00 WWE to 1.72. Also upgraded the Radio Version from 1.10.00 to 1.17.00. Everything is working great except the Bluetooth headset. I go through the linking process and it tells me everything is linked, I turn on the Bluetooth but it will not link. Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
I did the same thing, and now am facing the same problem with the bluetooth PC synchronisation... the same, that everything's connected, but the bluetooth sync on the device won't just start...
Same with MDAII
Hi.
I did the update on a german t-mobile device (MDAII) with the same effekt. I had the headset working with the Bluetooth Tools once with this rom version, but unfortunately the GPS does not work with BT Tools. The GPS works without BT Tools, but Bluetooth Headset has the problem described in the original post.
Please if anyone can look into that problem and help.
Thanks a lot and kind regards,
Uwe
SOLUTION
try the BCHS bluetooth stack it works well.

Hi
This is my first post, so hello all.
I received my new spv-m1000 yesterday afternoon, and last night attempted to install all the software I wanted on it. Most of this went smooth but I have got a problems with bluetooth.
I’ve had an Ipaq 3870 for a few years and run tomtom with a bluetooth GPS receiver.
Problem 1
Anyway I can pair with the bluetooth gps but I cant get any nmea data from it. I can’t see any way of seeing what services are provided by the gps, and therefore can’t bind it to a serial port.
Problem 2
The unit works with my bluetooth parrot handsfree kit, but the volume is very loud, is there anyway of controlling the volume from the spv-m1000?
My ROM versions are
ROM 1.60.00WWE (12/03/03)
Radio 1.10.00
Protocol 1337.18
ExtROM 1.60.38
Thanks in advance
JustinP

which parrot system do you have and what firmware
tested qtek 2020 1.66 without Bluetooth Tools
DriveBlue 3.13 o.k.
CK3000 3.13 o.k
CK3100 4.02 o.k
CK3300 4.02 o.k GPS tested with Destinator 3
CK3500 4.02 o.k GPS tested with Destinator 3
Hi
I have ROM 1.60, the parrot worked until I installed the bluetooth tools, and now it doesn't
Cheers
JustinP
so uninstall bluetooth tools
I have unistalled the bluetoth tools, and the parrot now works, but as predicted the gps does not.
I need both of these thing working, and if they dont the device will be going back.
I cant beleive how unfinished the spv-m1000 is.

I do have the same problem.
But I'm not using a GPS right now and running without Bluetooth Tools. Like izeman said, this way it's working most of the time.
Currently I am planning on buying a bluetooth GPS Receiver and am pretty much interested in an solution.
So if you find one, please let us all know.

Can you post your experience with CK3x00. How is it working with XDA II? Like CK3000 or better?
I am not able to use the latest version of BT Tools too because of the CK3000. Try the previous version. My Carkit works ok, but I dont have GPS.

by "working OK" do you mean that soetimes it doesn't connect?
Or is it just 'cos the features are limited with XDA II and else you are perfectly happy :?:

Features are limited, the caller gets echo (but that I am sure this is just an installation issue), without a mount it is impossible to dial while on the move and I still tend to plug it in to charge it while on the move (cig lighter).
Its not as good as I thought it would be and I am thinking of going for a fixed installation. This is no reflection on the kit, just the way I use it.
Hope this helps?
BT tools Plantronics, Parrot and Seefree
I got a slightly different problem. I have a bt headset m3000 plantronics, a parrot CK300 v3.13 car kit (my car) and a seefreekit 1.1 (in my wive's car which I borrow sometimes...). With the BT tools both the plantronics and seefree work ok, but the parrot doesn't bond/pair anymore.
Any solutions? Suggestions? When I de-install the parrot works ok, but then I need to pair everytime another device when I want to use it.
Hi,
If you are using BT Tools v 1.1.0.0 (12.4.2004) it wont. You need to go back a version.
Ian
so with version 1.0.1.2 it should work? :?

Works for me.
Re: BT tools Plantronics, Parrot and Seefree
I tried a previous version of BT tools... doesn't work. Any ideas? But de-installing works fine. But I can only connect one headset (BT Tools recognizes both the plantronics as the parrot as a headset and without BT Tools it can manage only one headset. But then... with BT Tools it doesn't wordk at all...)

After trying at least 10 different conbinations of rom/bt stack/patch, finally get bt GPS and A2DP headset to co-exist on my XDA II. I want to thank the brains of this forum...
BTW, Here is the first impression:
1.A2DP functioning well.
2.AVRCP also works!
3.Sound quality is great, no dropping/cut-off.
4.Machine is a bit slower when streaming music.
5.Occational re-bonding of the BT GPS receiver needed, but painless, takes less than a minute.
Still enjoying/testing...
I'm using i-Mate PPCPE (XDA II), Moto HT-820 headset, Belkin(Fortuna?) BT GPS receiver. WM5 ROM 2.01a.32WWE (dl from buzzdev), Radio 1.18.00...
Thanks again guys!
WOW, please tel us how?
Hello cpz21,
I have been searching for a solution for awhile now and keep hitting brick walls.
Could you please tell us the method and sources you used.
I am in need of Bonding my Imate xdaii to my Blueant x5 Headset and from my understanding I need a whole lot of upgrades to do so.
My specs are;
I-mate xdaii
PPC Version 4.20.0
ROM Version 1.66.00WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Can this be done?
Thanks

If you only need stereo headset, ROM1.72WWE will be okay, just install widcomm BT stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=73), you don't need wm5.
If you have BT GPS as well, you need to upgrade to wm5, everything works; or you can use xda2jojo's WM2003seUpgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...days=0&postorder=asc&highlight=2003se&start=0), but you have to switch between MS BT stack and wicomm BT stack to use stereo headset and GPS.
good luck.
Do anyone have working widcom stack for artemis? I read in helmi's universal forum that it could be done via some reg changes. Made it anyone working. I'm gonna give it a try. Keep fingers crossed
didn't have time to try everything.
download
KING HELMI_C's widcomm stack
install
ad following registry entries:
Code:
unfortunately too long post  so check the .reg included
I just finished so far I tried
filetransfer Orbit <> Universal works
AD2P (or whats name bt stereo) Orbit<> Moto HT820
AVPRC (or whats name remote control - next, previous, pause, play) Orbit<> Moto HT 820 (using m$hit media player) works
PAN not yet
Headset not yet.
regfile included.
to Helmi: I posted this in artemis upgrade forum as well
please feel free to post or PM or mail me any bugs.....
BTW: I'm using O2 Orbit - Arte200
Sorry for noob question ... but what is the difference betwin Original one and Widcom?
Cheers ...
check menneisys (soory for misspelling) posts somewhere in General/networking
it has more bt profiles at least
pnsnake:
Are you with helmi also working on this hack?
Your widcom stack made for universal works on artemis as well?
Do I simpy follow the same procedure described by you on the link specified by you?
Apps such as Sniper, which require widcom/broadcom stack, will work on Artemis, as with MS stack it is not?
For newbies here is the article from pocketpcmag.com blog about the difference:
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=1649&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1#more1649
dont know, i'm just trying to port it for arte, my Universal is running with Widcomm, so i decided to port it to my Orbit.
So far A2DP,AVCPR is working, file transfer, serial port are working. Headset profile not yet. I'm still trying to figure it out. Maybe Helmi will help.
so far i can transfer all sound from phone to my moto ht820 but not yet phonecalls
Tnx for quick reply. Guess I will try it out. I hope it is easy to remove it and come back to default settings (ms stack). I don't need bluetooth profiles, neither plan on using bt earphones.
File transfer (both ways), bluetooth sync and modem are indeed required. Hope it works.
I have a big problem. I tried this stack and bluetoothe works fine but GPS stoped working. If I uninstall it and try to activate MS Bluetooth stack, bluetooth stops working. So I have to decide: Bluetooth or GPS.
Is there any possibility to reactivate the MS Bluetooth stack?
Ah, I do have WM6 btw...
I was looking at a fix to get my car working with my WM6 Artemis, and thinking of trying the Widcomm stack. However, reading through this thread am I right in understanding that this version of the Widcomm stack won't yet support hands-free kits anyway?
i have installed Helmi's wm6 on my siemense sx66, everything works fine but the bluetooth handsfree and sync.
My Pda can find the bluetooth headset which works fine with old version ppc2003, but can not pair and can not connect with it. i have already installed the HELMI_BA_WM5_BT1.7_TEST.CAB and Helmi BT Speed and Helmi Enable MS BT. but still same.
i have installed syn4.5, first time no problem, and then, just running the connecting always.
can anyone have the same issue and have solved the problems? i tried many days to search all threads here to find some solutions, but i failed.
help! help! Help!!!
thanks! thanks!! thanks!!!

I had the same problem the only solution is to uninstall HELMI_BA_WM5_BT1.7_TEST.CAB and all the patches that go with it. I think HELMI_BA_WM5_BT1.7_TEST.CAB does not work with WM6. HELMI Please and all the experts can you look into this, I would love to use it.
Thanks
Wils
I have xplode latest ROM on my Siemens SX66 and I dont face those problems. I had updated to WM6 straight from WM2003SE

After installing HELMI_BA_WM5_BT1.7_TEST.CAB... you should not install helmi enable MS BT... maybe this is the problem... BT1.7 is the broadcom version and you are patching it with ms bt cab... you only install the helmi enable ms bt if you are moving back to ms bt...
