Hello i have gone and bought a 2gb memory card for my phone?
Is it possible to make the card default for things like Bluetooth
And when installing apps it saves on the memory card instead of the phone?
Thanks
Dave

I'm having a problem saving data/ files to the memory card. Everything is going into the phone main memory and as a result I have virtually no memory left on the phone, but just under 8gb on the card. Is there a way to change the default storage location?
I just bluetoothed a song from my previous handset and now I cant find it at all.......very frustrating.
Thanks in advance for any help.......this site is really useful!
I love this phone but after installing a few apps in the storage card, I realised that phone's storage memory is left with 162mb.
what can I do to reduce the size without having to sacrifice removing the apps?
I understand even though apps are installed in the storage card, some files are still kept in the main memory automatically.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Phone memory is basically useful to install apps instead of putting them on a much slower storage card (the stock 2gb microsd makes the hd2 read/write WAY slower than my old ipaq 210 with a class6 16gb SD, and ipaq 210 did not have official support to SDHC mind you)
Plus, 162mb free space on storage is not bad, you should fill it with apps
Hi guys. I am aware that there are apps like app2sd to move apps from phone to SD card. How does installing apps on phone or SD card affects the phone? Does it make the phone faster or save battery life?

Hi,
It's all about internal memory.
Go to settings, SD & Phone storage and look at available space under internal storage.
If the ROM you are using gives you hundreds of spare MBs,then you don't have a problem.
When you install new apps, the spare space is used up.
If you are not blessed with loads of spare space, then you would consider moving apps to your SD card, and running them from there.(Try using SuperBox to move the ones you can)
Running apps from your phone is quicker.
It has no affect on your battery life.

-- makes the phone faster, saves internal memory , your phone has a small hard drive or internal memory like a computers hard disk, the more free space you have on the phone the faster it would read or function. correct me if im wrong tnx
Hi guys. Thanks for the helpful replies. Really appreciate it. Thanks again!
Hi guys,
Just wanted to know the functionality of write to SD card option.
Is there a way to default the system to write all to SD card, or do you instead have to manually write each time?
Most important to me, can I pin Google Play All Access songs to the SD card? That would be really the only reason for me to buy the card so that I could store ridiculous amounts of music on my phone.
Thanks!
bump... thoughts?

Camera detected the SD card and considered default path for photos/videos.
In App manager you can move apps to SD card. I moved some, and can use them easily.
Some Apps are installed directly to the SD card (probably they have in their description this rule).
So if I keep icon packs on memory card and say I'm using that pack does it continuously keep reading from the memory card?
Anyone?
